It's a special double guest episode on this week's Course of Life Podcast, with hosts Alex Lauzon and Michael Russell: Tony Finau roll's to another victory in Houston with a "weak" field (1:48). The LPGA is in Florida for its season finale, where Alex walked the grounds during a Monday practice session. But before teeing off during the week, Gemma Dryburgh, fresh off her win at the Toto Japan Classic Championship, chats with Alex about the whirlwind experience of winning on the LPGA Tour (3:56). The Champions Tour wrapped up their season long Charles Schwab Cup season, and journeyman grinder Steven Alker raised the trophy (14:13). The PGA Tour unofficially wraps up for 2022 with the RSM Classic in Sea Island, GA, and Alex shares a couple early names from his betting card (15:59). In Tuned In, Michael is enjoying a new additional to his family, while Alex is excited for the nuptials of two past guests (17:09). Elizabeth Diane Martin joins the podcast for the second time to chat about her work for Veterans who golf, and to give us advice on planning our 2023 golf vacation (20:52). In the football world, Alex's picks are just "treading water," and Michael wonders why he's sugar coating a bad trend (48:31). As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares some of the seafood finds he's been enjoying in southwest Florida, and the guys share their Thanksgiving menus as the holiday is fast approaching (51:54).

Gina Martin is the founder and director of The Bob and Diane Fund, which honors her parents, Bob and Diane Martin. The couple were high school sweethearts married for nearly 50 years. In 2006, at the age of 65, Diane was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's, and she passed away five years later. Bob, her husband, loyal partner, and devoted caregiver, died just three months later. The fund gives an annual grant to a photographer whose work captures the essence of someone who has Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The work of the winner of the 2021 grant, Cheryle St. Onge, is featured in the winter 2022 edition of Cerebrum magazine.

The PGA Tour was in McKinney, TX for the AT&T Byron Nelson, where everyone went low-low-low and the Tour had their fifth new winner of the season in K.H. Lee, even with a rain soaked Sunday finish (1:42). But over in the NCAA Women's Regional in Baton Rouge, rain meant the course was "playable" but not in "Championship conditions," leading to a cancelation of a tournament without a single shot. Hosts Michael Russell and Alex Lauzon have a lot to say on the horrendous treatment of the female collegiate golfers (5:49). The feel-good story of the week came from the European Tour, where Richard Bland broke through with a win after almost 500 starts without one (11:47). All eyes will be on Kiawah Island's Ocean Course for the PGA Championship this weekend, as super long holes, high winds, and historic results (Rory's 2012 win) add to the many storylines for a Major Championship. Alex and Michael break it down and share some early picks for the week (14:26). In Tuned In, Alex shows his age by watching the MTV Movie Awards and not knowing a single film, while Michael tunes into nature in the marshes of the Georgia coast (20:36). This week's guest is Elizabeth Diane Martin, host of the "American Veteran Show." In her second appearance on the podcast, Elizabeth shares why there's snow in Colorado, and what it was like to play at Riviera in California (22:54). And as Alex and Michael #AlwaysEndWithFood, sharing stories of food shortages and homemade hamburger buns, they also share an exciting new announcement (54:02). Gina Martin is the founder and executive director of the Bob and Diane Fund and the managing account executive, International Editorial Sales, for National Geographic Creative. The fund honors Bob and Diane Martin, high school sweethearts married for 49 and a half years. In 2006, at the age of 65, Diane was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, and she passed away 5 years later. Bob, her husband, loyal partner, and devoted caregiver, died just 3 months later. “When we first heard about my mom’s diagnosis, we know that we had to be there to support our dad too as he would be her caregiver and living with her. Our first thought was how it's harder on the caregiver than the person living with dementia, so we really had to make sure that we were supporting him.” Gina said. It's Masters Week! But first, we had a new winner on tour at the Vivint Houston Open (1:38), which was the tune-up for The Masters. Some action happened across the pond as well, as the Euro Tour stayed in Cyprus (5:37). But all that matters is this weekend at Augusta National for a Masters tournament unlike any other (6:59). No fans, autumn colors, and much more will make this week extra special. Alex and Michael go down the contenders, and Alex shares a podcast exclusive pick to throw a dollar on to win. Meanwhile, there's other things to be Tuned In on outside of sports (20:07), and there was this election thing that happened last week (21:01). This week's guest is Elizabeth Diane Martin, a Military Golf Ambassador who shares what it's like working with veterans on the course, and what it was like to be at Augusta at Tiger's win in 2019 (24:14). Alex's college football weekend was as poor as the containment of COVID at Notre Dame (54:11), and football woes continued into the NFL with Michael's Giants and Alex's Patriots (56:02). As we #AlwaysEndWithFood, we continue to let you know how you should be ready for Thanksgiving, and this week it's all about the turkey (57:11).
