Send us a textIn only three days Father's Day will arrive, ready or not. If therapists listened to this episode they might detect our insecurity. We are, after all, two aging dads. Both of us are grandpas. And we seemed to meander our way toward comforting one another by lowering expectations for what we'll experience on Sunday. It helped that we could make fun of Pappy when he dialed in during our recording.

Welcome to Arsenic Culture. This Heavy Pour dives deep into the elusive, “allegedly illegal” world of the bourbon secondary market. From Facebook secret groups and coded lingo to John Wick status bottles and $2,000 price tags, this episode exposes how rare bourbon gets bought, sold, and—maybe—smuggled in the modern age.We talk insider etiquette, scam red flags, Buffalo Trace's crackdown, and how collectible bottles like Pappy and Blanton's turned into high-stakes currency.

I secured a 2012 Demo copy of Jai Paul's Jasmine for $16. Some ol' boy in Burbank California didn't do his homework last week and obviously neither did the person he or she bought the record from in the previous transaction. This record in my possession should be at least a $100 sell but buddy just didn't know what time it was. All of the covers do look similar for most of his drops but come on Pappy. C-List disc jockey like me? Forget about it. I sniffed it out immediately and blasted it for my beautiful congregation of audible punching bags on the inter webs. What's good Keisha. I think I'll start listing my 3 favorite points of each episode in the bios. No better time to start than now. Okay, the very start slowing and throwing a 1959 Willie Nelson track is sick work. Next, the Jerry Vale Innamorata at the end. Unbelievable. I could levitate like a monk listening to the vocal acoustics on this Jerry Vale album. And of course, lastly I enjoyed hyper focus listening to the 13 year old demo version of Jasmine, and I had never heard the solo instrumental before that either. Fantastic. I do have some other pickups that will remain surprises until next episode. Some cool 45 finds today. That is all for now, dropping the Sheep Tee on www.coffeestainclothing.com this week, if you'd like a sneak peek, find my TikTok the sheep design is there. Thank you as always for letting me intrude your earholes once more. It's raining, it's pouring.. My love life is boring me to tears.Your Trusted Host,DJ Witwicka Juan Don

It was late in the night, the vibes were just right, A Seuss-style descent into a mad spoilerman's delight. Korey's last in-person pod, and the Cat wore a grin, Mike Myers went wild in prosthetic chaotic sin! Pappy, Mikey, Brett also joined the fray— One final romp before Kylo's away. In this live-action film based on the favorite children's tale, the trouble-making Cat in the Hat (Mike Myers) arrives at the home of bored young Sally Walden (Dakota Fanning) and her brother, Conrad (Spencer Breslin), while their mother (Kelly Preston) is out. The family's pet fish (Sean Hayes) objects to the Cat's presence, but that doesn't stop the hat-wearing giant feline from trying to have fun, no matter how much destruction is left in his wake. Join us on our latest episode where we talk about all things alcohol, with a special emphasis on alcohol history in the United States. And of course we try a new beverage during our discussion. Another one from Side Project Brewing out of Maplewood, Missouri. Featured beer: 10 Year Barleywine, a 17% barrel aged English Barleywine from Side Project Brewing. Per the description from the brewery, "More than 2 years ago we began brewing in anticipation of this day, focusing on a blended Barleywine for this release and showcasing a truly special beer, M.J.K. in a new light. This beer consists of single and double barrel-aged M.J.K. finished for 18 to 27 months in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels. A thoughtful splash of Längst reigns in the intensity and finishes the character of this special blend of deep, rich, luxurious English Barleywines."What kind of alcohol did America prefer throughout history? How much do Americans really drink? Why can Side Project (rarely) do no wrong? We all have a few scary moments in life that we'll never forget. You know what I mean – a time when something is happening, or about to happen, and you know that the outcome could be really bad, and it's happening so fast you don't even have time to react. It's almost like you're watching a movie, and just waiting to see how it's gonna end. One moment like that for me was several years ago, when we lived up north. Winters in Maine can be pretty brutal, and part of that is that sometimes the roads can be icy and dangerous for driving. I remember one day I was driving on a rural country road, just two lanes, and the weather conditions were not good. There was some snow, but I also knew that the road had patches of ice. So I was moving along pretty carefully. Then I saw coming my direction was a small pickup truck. But he had already hit a big icy section and he was coming downhill toward me. And he was just spinning in circles. This guy had absolutely no control, just doing 360s as he came down this hill in my direction. And there really was nothing I could do either. I just figured “Ok, here we go, this is gonna happen I guess”. I wasn't too concerned about getting injured because we weren't going at high speeds – I just knew that a collision was about to happen. But amazingly, as this truck finally reached me, he was somehow able to stay on his side of the road while he kept going in circles right past me. I watched in my rear view mirror as he eventually regained control, and we each went on our way. Just part of life when you live in a cold climate. My guest today is Marsha. She had a moment kind of like that once. She looked up and saw headlights coming her direction. But it wasn't a car coming at her. It was a plane.
