Comedy writer Declan Fay is Tony's Speakola guest. Declan was the co-writer of Ronny Chieng International Student and the hilarious Crossbread podcast, about a Christian rap duo who hit the big time, but don't happen to be Christians (stars Megan Washington and Chris Ryan). Declan was head writer for this year's AACTA Awards, and has been part of writers' rooms for Rove, Dirty Laundry Live, Problems and You're Skitting Me. His The Sweetest Plum podcast with Chris Kennett was one of Australia's pioneering comedy podcasts, and ran for many years. He also speaks regularly in schools via Booked Out Speakers Agency, who also represent Tony for school visits. Adam's book Twelve Summers is out now.Twelve Summers is the story of those big memories and the big matches that accompanied them, told by one of the funniest writers in Australia. This episode’s guest is one of my favourite comedians, Lawrence Mooney.I love Lawrence because he says the things I dare not think. He’s an actor, a writer, a stand up and of course a radio host.I’ve known him since we made the pilot for the Agony series back in 2010 and it was about 30 seconds into interviewing him that I knew we had a show.So I’m extremely grateful to him.Other career highlights for Lawrence include hosting the tonight show, Dirty Laundry Live, the Paralympics for ABC2, and Moonman in the Morning for Triple M. From a young age it was clear that Ash London had but one ability in life – the gift of the gab. Lucky for her, that gift has landed her on television screens and radio dials for the better part of her 20’s. After forcing herself to attend university for three years, where she earned a bachelor of communications in media, Ash set off on a London adventure that cemented a lifelong love of live music. After revelling in Ray La Montagne at Royal Albert Hall to watching a then unknown Ellie Goulding at a Camden pub, she decided that she would actually die if she did not secure a career in the entertainment industry. A few short years later it all paid off when she beat 1200 other contestants and landed her first TV gig, hosting Saturday morning music show The Loop, a role she enjoyed for three successful years. 2014 saw her branch out into radio, co-hosting Australia’s longest running radio chart show Take 40 with Angus O’Loughlin, and then launching Shazam Top 20 around the country every night across the Today network in 2015. Continuing both shows in 2016, it was also the year that saw her serve on Australia’s first ever Eurovision Juror Panel, and also host Junior Eurovision on SBS. Ash has also made regular appearances on Ten’s The Project, and Dirty Laundry Live for ABC. She also appears as an entertainment host worldwide on Redbull TV. In 2017 Ash returned to radio, launching her national nights show across the HIT network - Ash London Live - celebrating her music passion weeknights around the country. Her work has seen her interview everyone from One Direction to Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande to Adele, Bruno Mars to Slash. She’s talked colonics with MGMT, enjoyed a piggy back from Ed Sheeran and been invited to be the stand-in backup bass player in 5 Seconds of Summer. Also once she voiced a condom commercial which didn’t go down too well at family dinner. Game Changer: Radio Game Changers: Radio is a show dedicated to the radio industry. The one where Brooke Satchwell springs forth and delivers missives on the cult of celebrity. Much like her life on DIRTY LAUNDRY LIVE. This all too fleeting encounter with the star of shows like WONDERLAND, PACKED TO THE RAFTERS and NEIGHBOURS covers many, many bases including the new cast of CELEBRITY APPRENTICE AUSTRALIA, her fascination with specific numbers and times, and why BIG BROTHER was possibly one of the best shows going around. There's even some talk of sausages, naturally. After nearly 20 years in the business Brooke has more than proven she has what it takes to morph into almost any role, and she certainly seems to be enjoying this one with co-host Lawrence Mooney. This is another great episode of MolksTVTalk the podcast (#MTTpod) - thanks for listening. Sharing the ep with your friends and followers on social media is really appreciated!
