"78% of salespeople miss their sales targets. That means your entire revenue forecast is riding on just 22% of your team."That's the brutal reality Matt Milligan discovered after spending years in go-to-market transformation – and it's what drove him to build Uhubs, a company that's now helping teams achieve 83% increases in revenue per head.In today's episode, I'm joined by Matt Milligan, CEO and Co-founder of Uhubs, Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree, and former professional golfer. His solution? Combine quantitative data, qualitative assessments, and call recording analysis to identify what actually separates high performers from the rest – then use AI to create roadmaps that close the gap.Together we unpack:Why relying on Salesforce dashboards alone misses the human component driving performanceHow first-time managers are the single greatest point of failure in most organisationsWhy managers spend all their time with underperformers (and how that kills your A players)The three data sources you need to truly understand what makes your best sellers greatWhy gut-feel hiring is killing your growth (and what to do instead)

David Clark sits down with Jessica Farr-Jones, Portfolio Manager at Regal Partners, one of Australia's most dynamic alternative investment firms now managing over $20 billion across hedge funds, private credit, real assets, and global equities. Jessica's journey from JP Morgan's investment-banking floors in Sydney & New York to launching her own $150 million Global Small Companies Fund inside Regal is a story of precision, discipline, and conviction. She reveals how her fascination with both maths and market psychology shaped her investment approach—one that blends the rigour of quantitative analysis with the intuition of great traders. Regal evolved from a billion-dollar boutique to a global powerhouse, and why its founder, Phil King, models the firm on the philosophy of Barcelona FC—attracting the world's best talent to perpetuate excellence. Jessica unpacks: * The anatomy of a 20 % p.a. strategy and what it takes to consistently generate alpha across private and listed markets. * How Regal's long-short framework creates “two times the opportunity to make money” without increasing net risk. * Why the rotation into small-caps could be the most powerful trade of the next market cycle. * And the lessons learned from early-stage investments in names like Life360, Zip, and Iris Energy, now a billion-dollar AI and Bitcoin infrastructure play. It's a masterclass in portfolio construction, behavioural discipline, and staying nimble through cycles. Jessica's insights offer a rare look inside how elite fund managers think—and why great investors marry data with intuition.

Roman Palitsky Roman Palitsky, MDiv, Ph.D. is Director of Research Projects for Emory Spiritual Health and a Research Psychologist for Emory University School of Medicine. His research program investigates the pathways through which culture and health interact by examining the biological, psychological, and social processes that constitute these pathways. His areas of interest include biopsychosocial determinants in cardiovascular health, chronic pain, and grief. In collaboration with Emory Spiritual Health, his research addresses cultural and existential topics in healthcare such as religion, spirituality, and the way people find meaning in suffering, as they relate to health and illness. His work has also focused on the role of religious and existential worldviews in mindfulness-based interventions, as well as implementation and cultural responsiveness of these interventions. Dr. Palitsky's academic training includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona with a concentration in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology, and a Master of Divinity from Harvard University. He completed clinical internship in the behavioral medicine track at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. Deanna and Roman were in town attending and speaking at the 2025 SSSR Conference, Society for the Scienific Study of Religion. In this episode we speak with Yossi Barishev - one of the most watched founders in cybersecurity today. He's led security operations and innovation at Sygnia and Fireblocks, advised Fortune 500s, and now, he's building a stealth-mode venture focused on rethinking identity and trust in the age of AI. He's been recognized by outlets like Business Insider, NYTech Media, and NewsBlaze as a leader shaping the future of cybersecurity. This episode is about uncertainty, self-trust, and building the internal tools to lead through volatility. In this conversation, we explore: The trap of seeking external validation. Early on, Yossi found himself chasing reassurance from more experienced founders - until he realized that the same validation could shake him when things got hard. “If you trust this external validation too much, whenever some negative signal comes in, it shakes you.” Learning to trust your internal compass. With time, his confidence shifted inward “There's literally zero way to predict what the hell this journey throws at you… I just believed in my ability to be able to deal with it.” The power of throwing yourself into deep water His biggest moments of growth came when everything was uncertain - and the only path was forward. “The times where I usually flourish the most - it's when my back is against the wall.” Introducing chaos - on your own terms. Rather than waiting for life to disrupt him, Yossi learned to lean into difficult, high-stakes situations. “If you're able to introduce chaos in a controlled manner, it teaches you a lot more.” Becoming the Swiss Army knife. Yossi chose adaptability over specialization, learning how to show up confidently in any scenario. “Honestly- just throw me in the Bronx with no cash and no clothes. I'll work it out.” Comparing yourself to others - and what to do with that. He reflects honestly on the emotional weight of watching peers raise money and start companies first. “What did they have that I lack?” Using doubt as fuel. Naysayers weren't discouragement - they were motivation. “Even if I don't have the answers right now, I believe in my ability to find them… I was like, I'm going to show you that you're wrong.” How he thinks about advice and mentorship. Advice, he says, is always a mix of data and subjective perspective - and the most useful mentors are those who've failed often. “Every single advisor I have is someone who made more mistakes than right decisions.” This episode is for anyone navigating self-doubt, forging a nonlinear path, or learning to lead without a blueprint.

Send us a textHow did Cody Poskin, a guy who was told to “get lost” by the coach at his college, become one of the rising stars of ultrarunning and getting invited to run across the Gobi Desert in China? I dig into that with the help of another 23-year-old ultramarathon beast, TJ Harms-Synkiew. After Cody was spurned by the college coach, he decided to target the Boston Marathon, nailing a qualifying time in his first attempt. At age 21, he jumped up to ultras and won his first two races, including the Midstate Massive Ultra Trail 100-mile in a speedy 19:47. He was a very impressive 13th at his first Leadville Trail 100 in 2024 in 19:28, and then had another breakthrough at the Jackpot 100 miler, which he ran in 13:26, breaking the course record by 33 minutes. After placing 8th at the Cocodona 250 in 71:11, Cody joined 54 other runners to run the Ultra Gobi 400K, a life-altering experience. The Chinese hosted a world-class event as Cody describes, all while he had to navigate a course that had no markings, only checkpoints, and he had to run self-supported with a 15-pound pack in which he was required to carry 2000 calories at all times. He won in 64:49, shattering the course record by 4 hours, and earned the title Guanjun Marshall. What makes this episode fun for an old ultramarathon goat like me is listening to 23-year-olds who are relatively new to the sport and how they plunge into all sorts of challenges with the attitude of “I'll figure it out along the way.”Cody Poskincodyposkin.comInstagram, YouTube, and Threads @cody_poskinBill Stahlsilly_billy@msn.comFacebook Bill StahlInstagram and Threads @stahlor and @we_are_superman_podcastYouTube We Are Superman PodcastSubscribe to the We Are Superman Newsletter!https://mailchi.mp/dab62cfc01f8/newsletter-signupSubscribe to our Substack for my archive of articles of coaching tips developed from my more than three decades of experience, wild and funny stories from my long coaching career, the wit and wisdom of David, and highlights of some of the best WASP episodes from the past that I feel are worthwhile giving another listen.Search either We Are Superman Podcast or @billstahl8

For many new agents, the top producers in the office are intimidating. Their success feels out of reach; it's something you'll never accomplish yourself. But for some agents, those same people are motivating. They're proof that it can be done, and they become the standard to chase.  Emilee Mosso went from wanting to be like those agents to achieving success in her own right. And at 23, she's done $10 million in volume, and this is just the beginning.  How did Emilee turn her goals into a reality? How did she move past some of the places that keep agents stuck?  It starts with showing up before you feel ready, asking for help instead of guessing, and treating every “no” as practice for the next “yes.” In this episode of Level Up, the Century 21 Blackwell agent shares the mindset and approach behind her success. We also unpack how to learn from the right people, move through rejection without losing momentum, and develop the habits that make you a top producer.   In the beginning, you take the no's personally. Now, when someone says no, I just think I'm closer to someone who will tell me yes. -Emilee Mosso   Things You'll Learn In This Episode  Consistency compounds faster than talent How does showing up, especially on the days you don't feel like it, quietly build the kind of momentum that skill alone can't? The hidden advantage in rejection What shifts when “no” stops meaning you failed and starts meaning you're still moving forward? Why agents really fear listings Most agents stay buyers' agents, not because they can't handle listings, but because rejection from a seller feels personal. How do you push through that fear and build real leverage on the other side of it? The value of proximity How much faster can you grow when you surround yourself with people who've already done what you're trying to do?   Guest Bio Emilee Mosso is a licensed North & South Carolina real estate agent at Century 21 Blackwell. Emilee loves listening to people's needs in the real estate market to find a way to best serve them. Serving others is a passion of hers. She serves on the Spartanburg Board of Realtors Governmental Affairs Committee, the Community Service Committee as the Vice Chair, and the Public Relations Committee as the Chair. She is also a team holder for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. Real estate was just a dream for Emilee at the young age of ten. When she heard her parents sharing their criteria, she quickly discovered Zillow, and a real estate fire was lit inside of her, and she has worked to make it come true. Every day, Emilee strives to help someone with the buying or selling process. In 2022, she was awarded the Quality Service Award for her dedication to her clients, as well as the "Rising Star" award.
