He was unarmed and hiding in a closet when he was gunned down. The FBI said they did not have a comment on the family's allegation, as this is an active investigation. According to FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson, agents were serving a warrant to an armed robbery suspect at an apartment complex in Atlanta's Adamsville neighborhood off of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Middleton Road. When agents tried to make contact, the suspect led them on a chase through the building.Members of Atchison's family said Friday that he was not armed, hiding in a closet and was shot in the face. An Atlanta police officer who was part of the FBI task force fired the deadly shot, according to police. No officers were hurt."We went to that apartment and confronted the suspect and the suspect fled," Rowson said.
