Andrea Miller, Center for Common Ground, joins Deepak Puri, CEO of The Democracy Labs, to discuss the history and modern tactics of voter suppression and gerrymandering targeting southern Black voters in what has historically been called the Southern Black Belt. One strategy is to pack all Black voters into one district, and another is to crack the community into smaller pieces to diminish their influence. Andrea suggests that the Republican tactic of cracking Black districts could backfire by creating multiple competitive districts in 2026. Deepak and Andrea talk about: Current strength of southern Black voters Voter suppression tactics that disproportionately impact rural Black residents How gerrymandering has the potential to spread angry, motivated Black voters across several districts, making all of them competitive for Democrats Why State-level elections are the critical battleground for fighting gerrymandering #CTR4CMNGround #TheDemLabs #CenterForCommonGround #VoterSuppression #Gerrymandering #BlackBeltPower #StateLegislatures #DownBallot #GOTV #Redistricting #DemocracyStrategy #StatePower #SouthernStrategy #VotingRights #ElectoralStrategy #ProtectTheVote #TurnoutMatters #Election2026 CenterforCommonGround.org TheDemLabs.org

Politics affects your pockets. In this powerful and polarizing episode of Inside the Vault, Ash Cash sits down with former Dalton, Illinois Mayor and current South Fulton Commissioner candidate Tiffany Henyard for an unfiltered conversation about power, voter suppression, party loyalty, smear campaigns, and what it really means to lead under pressure.Tiffany opens up about:• Why she left the Democratic Party• The caucus election controversy she says cost her re-election• Why she's running as a Republican in a majority-Black district• Whether Black voters should rethink voting as a “bloc”• Redistricting, voter ID, and political division• Why she believes politics has become “PoliTricks”• The economic issues impacting South Fulton right now• Property taxes, public safety, education, and economic development• What she would do differently if elected CommissionerThis is not a surface-level conversation. This episode challenges assumptions about party alignment, identity politics, and whether emotional voting is hurting our communities.Agree or disagree — you need to hear it.

Next, Hawk calls for expanding the Supreme Court by four seats, drawing nominees from federal judges who held the line against the Trump administration, including Judge Boasberg. Ketanji Brown Jackson gets the nod for Chief Justice. Puerto Rico and Washington DC become states, adding four new senators and giving millions of Americans real representation for the first time. Roe v. Wade gets codified into law nationwide. And critically, Hawk argues Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries must not lead the Senate or House, citing their stated loyalties to foreign interests over their own base. All four items fit on one piece of paper. Voting rights. Court reform. Statehood. Reproductive rights. That's the plan. Gloria J. Browne Marshall welcomes Jen Fifield from ProPublica to Law of the Land to talk about Voter Suppression. Please note, during the podcast, Gloria mentions an important Supreme Court case - Louisiana v. Callais. She misspoke and referred to it as Mississippi. You can read the decision here https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/24-109_21o3.pdf
Historical context provides a sobering look at this moment, drawing parallels between the struggles in Selma and Birmingham and the current judicial landscape. The bravery of civil rights icons like John Lewis and the tragic sacrifices of activists in Mississippi highlight the high cost of the rights now being systematically undid with a word processor. Political figures are already moving to capitalize on this ruling, with plans to redraw congressional districts in ways that could zero out black representation in the House of Representatives. This isn't just about technical tweaks to the law; it is about the future of the 15th Amendment and the fundamental right to a meaningful vote. The ripple effects of this decision will be felt in state legislatures and city councils across the country as partisan gerrymandering receives a green light from the highest bench. Sophia Lin Lakin, JD '11 (MS '04, BA '02), director of the ACLU's Voting Rights Project, challenges the stated premises behind many current voting restrictions, including claims about widespread non-citizen voting. “If we're worried about the integrity of our elections,” she tells Stanford Law professor and host Pam Karlan, “we should be worried about making sure that more people are participating in our elections and not chasing a fantasy.” That concern—how long-standing efforts to restrict voting access can make it harder for eligible voters to participate—runs through the episode, which was recorded shortly before the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Louisiana v. Callais. In a 6–3 ruling, the Court struck down Louisiana's congressional map, which had created a second majority-Black district, holding that the map was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The decision could make it harder to use Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act to challenge maps that dilute minority voting strength. Lakin and Karlan discuss what is at stake when access to the ballot becomes harder and the rules for translating votes into political power begin to shift. Their conversation focuses on proof-of-citizenship requirements, mail ballots, voter roll purges, and redistricting battles, offering a timely look at the legal fights shaping who can vote, whose ballots count, and whether communities can elect representatives of their choice. Did a Stop-the-Steal Republican Just Steal Your Vote in Michigan? Progressive US Representative from Wisconsin, Mark Pocan joins Thom for a national town-hall meeting. Christian Right Baal worshiping imperial agent Paul Weyrich said in 1980 “I don't want everybody to vote. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.” American full Nazgûl, otherwise called Republicans, (with to be fair - corporate Dems are half Nazgûl), have long known that their policies literally protect pedophiles and if truly communicated, are incredibly unpopular. So the only way they win elections is via their propaganda media networks, the electoral college, redistricting, electoral trickery, and almost most predominantly, voter suppression. The latter which they've been doing to African Americans for over 60 years and that's just since the passage of the voting rights act which the Opus Dei Supreme court of dark sorcery have been trying to chip away at. So let us begin by rescuing the phrase “voter fraud” from the swamp into which it has been deliberately dragged by criminal Trumpstein and this democracy hating crew. In any serious, legally literate discussion, one is not talking about the occasional miscast ballot, clerical error, or the lonely, almost always Republican voter who attempts to vote twice and is caught. One is talking about outcome-determinative fraud—that is, fraud on a scale sufficient to alter the result of an election. These insight sub-episodes are mirrored on our primary YouTube channel which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/@NilesHeckman/videos

The Left is currently working overtime to convince you that Non-Citizen voting is just a 'MYTH.' They claim the SAVE Act—a simple bill requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote, is actually about 'disenfranchisement' and Voter Suppression. But if non-citizens voting is truly a myth, why are Democrats fighting so desperately to keep the loopholes open?SPONSOR: Brave BooksBrave Books creates pro-God, pro-America stories teaching the lessons our culture is trying to erase, like truth, courage, sacrifice, faith, and love of country through stories kids actually want to read. Hawk breaks down the FBI search warrant executed in Fulton County, Georgia, targeting ballots from the 2020 presidential election, a warrant that legal experts say should never have existed. The affidavit, authored by FBI Special Agent Hugh Raymond Evans, reads less like a credible criminal complaint and more like a greatest hits album of debunked 2020 election denier conspiracy theories. Clark Cunningham, a law and ethics professor at Georgia State University, and election integrity expert David Becker have both stated the affidavit fails the basic constitutional standard of establishing probable cause, the very threshold required before any judge, or in this case US Magistrate Judge Katherine Selenus, can legally authorize a search . The criminal investigation itself was triggered by Kurt Olsen, a Trump-appointed election denier who was on the phone with Trump on January 6th and now holds a key federal election security role. Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, was present during the raid, which resulted in over 700 boxes of Fulton County election materials being seized, materials whose current location nobody can confirm. Meanwhile, Stephen Miller is directing a coordinated campaign using DHS and ICE to intimidate naturalized US citizens and suppress minority voter turnout, with Steve Bannon openly calling for ICE agents at every polling location. The Georgia State Election Board met and ultimately voted not to take over Fulton County elections, while Trump held a rally in Marjorie Taylor Greene's former district the same day. Fulton County has filed motions to have the warrant vacated and the ballots returned, citing Fourth Amendment violations, expired statutes of limitations, and witnesses with severe credibility and bias issues, including one who was reportedly referred to the FBI for threatening Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger. The House has passed the SAVE Act — a sweeping election reform bill that would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. But what does that really mean? Michael Smerconish speaks with Nicole Hansen of the Campaign Legal Center to break down what the legislation would require — including whether a Real ID is enough, why a passport or certified birth certificate may be necessary, and how the bill could impact mail registration and voter rolls nationwide. Trump has reassembled his 2020 election conspiracy team as Tulsi Gabbard leads an FBI raid in Fulton County, Georgia, seizing 700 boxes of ballots from the 2020 election. The raid represents Trump's strategy to undermine the legitimacy of the 2026 midterm elections before they even happen. With Republicans facing devastating losses in both the House and Senate, Trump knows two years of Democratic investigations and multiple impeachments await him. Will Sommer reports on the batshit conspiracy theories fueling this election attack, from Sydney Powell's Venezuelan voting machine claims to the Hammer and Scorecard supercomputer theory. Tulsi Gabbard, as Director of National Intelligence, has no law enforcement authority yet accompanied FBI agents and called Trump from the scene. The investigation resurrects discredited conspiracy theorists like Dennis Montgomery and references Hugo Chavez, dead for years, supposedly influencing Dominion voting systems. Meanwhile, Dan Bongino returned to podcasting after his brief FBI stint, immediately landing a Trump interview where the president threatened to seize control of elections in 15 states. The connection between the Fulton County raid, Tulsi Gabbard's investigation, and Trump's 2026 midterm strategy reveals a coordinated effort to cast doubt on any Democratic victories. Sydney Powell hints at something big happening, while Trump reposts QAnon theories about Italian satellites and CIA programs flipping votes. The legitimacy of future elections hangs in the balance as Trump deploys every conspiracy theory and charlatan from 2020 to poison the well for 2026.
