Happy holidays! For Episode 48, Joel and Andrene cover 1990's "Home Alone". When 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is accidentally left behind for the holidays, he must defend himself against two local burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) who plan to rob his home.
What happens when you accidentally leave your kid at home during the holidays? Absolute chaos, that's what. In Home Alone, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), an 8-year-old mastermind, gets forgotten at home while his family jets off to Paris for Christmas. Instead of crying for help, Kevin decides to turn his house into a fortress and fend off two bumbling burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), with traps that would make MacGyver jealous. At the TruVue Podcast, we bring the barbershop talk to the box office, diving into the holiday hilarity of this Christmas classic. It's not about the review—it's the conversation with the crew. We keep it real on the reels, laughing at the absurdity of Kevin's creative defenses and wondering how Harry and Marv survived without permanent brain damage. Our podcast is unapologetically NSFW, so come prepared for raw humor and unfiltered commentary. Spoiler alert: Watch Home Alone first, because we don't hold back! Want to relive the magic? Happy Holidays! We are back with, what is for many, a holiday classic. For others, this might have slipped past them over the years. However you found yourself to this film, you have found a holiday present. Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is back causing mischief, booby-trapping houses and striving to find the perfect Christmas. He might learn, again, what the season is really all about, but this time it will be in New York after he accidentally boards the wrong plane. Conveniently, the same criminals from the original, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), have broken out of prison just in time to run into Kevin on the streets of New York. These Sticky Bandits plan on robbing a toy store. And, now that Kevin is charged with the holy spirit/pigeon magic and has a new torture house, the season is back on! Meanwhile, Kate McCallister (Catherine O'Hara) leads the family in a charge to find her son. She's never lost her luggage though. This was written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus! Tim Curry is in it! What else do you need? RTS will be playing at Duncan's Toy Chest with a nice cheese pizza. La-Mar, Jeremy and Collin will be ordering three scoops of ice-cream. They're not driving! It's all about the nuts of the season! “Turtle doves.”

This is it! The one we've all be waiting for! Your hosts have been waiting two years to watch and discuss this one, so hold on to your hats, darlings, cuz it's gonna be a doozy! When eight year old, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin, in the role that made him famous) and his large extended family plan a trip to Paris, his house in a Chicago suburb is a flurry of activity. Kevin, being one of the youngest ones, always seems to be underfoot. When he wishes that his family would disappear, his wish seems to be granted, as his family accidentally leaves for their Paris trip without him. Typical kid behavior ensues, lots of jumping on the bed, eating junk food, watching movies he shouldn't watch...you know, exactly how the KYD team behaves all the time. Little does Kevin know his house is being watched by two burglars (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern)! After a few attempts to break in, Kevin must defend his family home against the burglars through a spectacular series of Rube Goldberg-esque traps the likes of which only a serial killer could imagine! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! But after the wait...will our hosts hate this movie as much as they have thought they would for the past two years? Join us and find out! And don't forget to RATE, REVIEW & SUBSCRIBE!
