What happens when two visionary creators collide at the intersection of comedy, technology, and music? In this episode of So Ambitious, host Felicia Hatcher sits down with Zayd Portillo (creatrgd) and King Willonius, creator of “BBL Drizzy”, to unpack their journeys in tech, AI, and cultural innovation. From viral comedy hits to groundbreaking AI music, Zayd and King are pushing boundaries on how Black creators can own their narratives, monetize their IP, and turn moments into movements. They reflect on early experiments with Clubhouse, YouTube, and Twitch, the birth of viral songs like BBL Drizzy, and how AI tools are reshaping artistry, ownership, and community. This conversation is equal parts hilarious and profound, revealing the tension between incubation and deadlines, internal validation and external recognition, and what it really takes to stay consistent (even when the world doesn't quite understand your vision yet). All Negro Comics is a landmark issue in U.S. Comic History curated in 1947 by Orrin C. Evans a journalist at the Philadelphia Record (now the Philadelphia Inquirer). Evans intent was to provide positive portrayals of Black Life and Heroism, the exact opposite to the negative stereotypes common in comics, TV, and Movies during that time. 8 years after Action Comics #1 and 6 years after Captain America #1, All Negro Comics was the very first comic made entirely by Black Creators marking a step forward in media for that time. Introducing us to characters such as Ace Harlem, Lion Man, Sugarfoot and Snake Oil to Lil Eggie.Today, We speak with Chris Robinson-Writer/Editor of this historical book as he added new elements in this 75th anniversary issue to bridge the gap with not only the remastered works from the original issue, but Essays from Literary Scholars like Quiana Whitted of Rutgers University and Creators like David Brothers and Shawn Pryor making a connection from what the industry was in the 40's to where many Black Creators have found meaning in their own journey with comics today.Tell, Teach, TributeThe Book was first remastered in a Hardcover version 3 years ago through Kickstarter and now finds a new path as Image Comics has come to distribute the comics in a softcover format in October of 2025.All Negro Comics by Orrin C. “Don't be topic or event-driven — be thought and idea-driven.” — Elliott Sayles In this inspiring episode of The Journey, host Larry Robinson sits down with Elliott Sayles, the visionary behind the Mane T-Shirt, a Memphis-born cultural brand celebrating identity, creativity, and local pride. From East Cleveland to California to Memphis, Elliott's story is a powerful reminder that creativity, faith, and authenticity can turn a single idea into a movement. A designer, thinker, and spiritual entrepreneur, Elliott shares how he transformed a simple Memphis slang word into a meaningful symbol of community and belonging. In this episode, Elliott opens up about: How he discovered his gift as a creator and idea generator The journey from Cleveland to Memphis, and how the city “crashed” his world in the best way The prayer and inspiration behind Mane and how it became a brand What intellectual property means and why ownership matters His advice for dreamers: face what scares you and pursue your ideas fearlessly How being a “girl dad” changed his perspective on life and leadership Elliott Sayles reminds us that success begins with identity and intention. When you create from who you are, not what's trending.

Batman TAS was already awesome. A staple of early '90s cartoons. But it needed a feature to drive home that this show is serious and different. Mask of the Phantasm was not only a great story of Year 2 Batman, but it is also very different from every other movie, animated or live action.
In this episode, White Collar Suge kicks off with a wild Epstein list accusation toward Sham, leading to a flurry of chaotic banter, side-eyes, and Drake jokes that never really recover. Riker shifts the topic with a house-flipping pitch that spirals into debates over gentrification, Detroit slander, and the Black Libertarian declaring war on Dearborn. The crew dives into the wild world of rating apps, vulnerability politics, and the myth of womanhood rebrands, all while Sham insists he's not participating (but totally is). Things heat up as they confront Pro-Black hypocrisy, the “Kamala ain't it” argument, and how some foster kids were treated like slaves by a white couple in a true story twist. By the end, everyone's confessing arrest stories, debating Resident Evil as celibacy propaganda, and dragging Tariq Nasheed for being Pro-Black with a snow bunny.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/everyday-black-men--2988631/support.

The 100th episode of Our Sins and Woes brings back Jay Pat for a wild, unfiltered conversation about political contradictions and cultural chaos. The two go in on MAGA fans, firmware-level brainwashing, and how talking points feel less like opinions and more like software updates. They dig into the double standard around cancel culture, especially when artists like Cosby are still praised while Kanye gets dragged. There's heat, humor, and enough side-eyes to start a riot. It's exactly the kind of reckless celebration Episode 100 deserves.
The original Streams of Consciousness crew is back. Nelson, Eroc, and Jay Carter go full unfiltered—talking cremation schemes, nicknames in the black book, and how they'd like to be honored by old flings and frat boys alike. Then it's into politics: Trump's speedrun to dictatorship, DEI rollback, economic hypocrisy, and whether Candace Owens actually hates Black people or just Black culture. Also on deck: gimbal chickens, basket weaving degrees, redneck energy, Umar Johnson slander, and who's really to blame when democracy starts biting back. Petty, political, and pure chaos.
In this episode, Keyon Starr returns to the show to break down personal growth, spiritual shifts, and why the rollback of DEI is messing with everybody—from Black creatives to the LGBTQ+ community. We get into church hurt, gay pride in a post-DEI world, and when to leave the club (or church) because your ex showed up. From giving up drinking and getting baptized to losing friends along the way, Keyon gets candid about his journey. We also joke about breastfeeding glances, closet homies, gender identity politics, and being confident enough to wear a banana hammock (or not). Real convo, funny moments, and a reminder that you can be both saved and spicy.
Joined by Steven Joyner, the host dives into coded racism, comedy in slurs, and why moon cricket might be the most offensive and creative insult of all time. The two also talk about Black business support vs. Black pricing expectations—who actually pays full rate, and what it really means to be a Black-owned creator in a cheap-ass culture.Later, they get into podcast guest delusion, fantasy lifestyles, breast pump politics, free-the-titty contradictions, and the real reason people live online but fail in real life. It's a conversation on ego, image, and why everybody wants to be heard—but not everyone got something to say.
Joined by Lime Light Vibes performer and artist Bajsh, the two talk fake-deep artistry, easing people into faith, SoundCloud gems, and why open mics shouldn't be karaoke nights. They get into Kendrick vs. Drake, Kanye's genius, and why AI might kill the soul of music. Bajsh opens up about growing through trauma, learning to love himself, and why “Come Get Me” almost didn't drop.In the Patreon, they talk exes, villain arcs, spiritual baggage, and the vision behind Brave Angel. Real convo, real bars, and way too many mac and cheese metaphors.
