"When you really think about emotions, memories and all our beliefs and values; they are not in our conscious awareness, they are subconscious and they dictate how you approach life. You don't approach life with logic- that's a very small percentage- you approach life with how you feel". - Dr. Friedemann Schuab. In this episode we briefly revisit the four noble truths so that we can discuss the 8 fold path, and how by itself it may pose an issue in regards to relativism, but how paired with something such as the beatitudes (out of Matthew chapter 5) can make the 8 fold path a useful tool on how to live well and to be at peace, and to also treat others compassionately and empathetically. In essence when one asks; “what is right/complete action as stated in the 8 fold path?” You can answer with the beatitude(s) that states; “blessed are those who show mercy, who are meek, who are humble.” The beatitudes complete the path, the path provides chances to practice the beatitudes, win win situation. Enjoy everybody! Be sure to check out the “No Nonsense Catholic” podcast with Mathew Arnold for two lengthier more in depth discussions on the beatitudes. Once we become believers, we have the ear of heaven....God cares about our prayers, great and small.

Foil'd by our fellow-men, depress'd, outworn, We leave the brutal world to take its way, And, Patience! in another life, we say The world shall be thrust down, and we up-borne. And will not, then, the immortal armies scorn The world's poor, routed leavings? or will they, Who fail'd under the heat of this life's day, Support the fervours of the heavenly morn? No, no! the energy of life may be Kept on after the grave, but not begun; And he who flagg'd not in the earthly strife, From strength to strength advancing - only he, His soul well-knit, and all his battles won, Mounts, and that hardly, to eternal life.
