Anyway, welcome back to Self-Tapes That Book, Part Two. Last week we talked about tech and mindset, about creating a space that supports your confidence instead of draining it. The kind of space that makes you feel like you just slipped into your favorite outfit—the one that makes you feel unstoppable. That's exactly how I want your self-tape setup to feel: effortless, energizing, and completely you. Four Keys to Powerful Self-Tape Performances 1. Make Clear, Bold, Story-Driven Choices Don't play it vague. Every beat should be grounded in intention. Commit fully. Ask yourself: Am I willing to give my life for this moment? If not, there's probably an energy block—not in your acting ability, but in your connection to yourself. The work of an actor isn't just skill; it's presence, humanity, and openness. That's where true talent lives. 2. Energy and Presence Confidence reads as relaxation, not effort. Think of an Olympic skater or gymnast. What looks effortless on camera comes from deep preparation—and self-trust. As Marianne Williamson said, "Your playing small does not serve the world." Our job as artists is to shine. To align with something bigger than fear. To choose energy that flows with the universe, not against it. 3. Editing and Delivery This one's simple—but it's where many actors slip. Trim dead air. Slate cleanly. Label properly: YourName_Role_Project Submit once. On time. Follow directions exactly. Casting directors notice when you don't. And often? We move on to the next actor who did. Keep a record of what you send, what worked, and what you'd improve next time. There's no such thing as a perfect audition—only growth. 4. Professionalism and Presence Don't tape to prove you're good enough. Tape to serve the story. That shift—from fear to ownership—changes everything. You're not auditioning to be judged. You're collaborating. You're submitting your idea for the role. The camera knows when you're faking peace. Confidence can't be faked either. Be you. Be grounded. Be magnetic. The kind of magnetic that makes people go, "What is it about them?" Common Mistakes That Can Kill a Self-Tape Overproduced mini-movies. Keep it simple. Poor lighting or framing. Your face tells the story—let it. Flat reads or mechanical delivery. Find truth in every beat. Ignoring file naming or upload instructions. This one's huge. Don't get deleted over a filename. When a woman prays over her home, hell loses jurisdiction. When she prays over her husband, discouragement loses its grip. When she prays over her children, identity confusion gets confronted by the voice of God.James says, “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16). Power—because prayer plugs your weakness into God's omnipotence. As it is working—because prayer is not a one-and-done wish; it's a persistent labor that keeps knocking until doors open, keeps seeking until wisdom is found, keeps asking until the heavens thunder, “Now.” Prayer recalibrates your emotions, reorders your priorities, and reorients your family to the presence of the Lord.Let's be real: the enemy's favorite strategy is to keep you too busy to pray. Busy women can build schedules; praying women build altars. And altars change lineages. Build one in your home—time, place, pattern. Dedicate a chair. Put a blanket there. Tape promises to the wall. Let your kids catch you praying. When storms come—and they will—your home will already be aligned to the voice that calms waves with a sentence.This is not about eloquence; it's about agreement. Agree with God's Word. Agree with the Spirit's prompting. Agree with Jesus' intercession, because He is praying for you right now. Step into that stream and add your amen.

Le Maroc poursuit sa stratégie industrielle dans le secteur de l'aéronautique. L'entreprise Safran vient d'annoncer un nouvel accord d'investissement de 350 millions d'euros. L'entreprise, déjà présente depuis une vingtaine d'années sur le territoire marocain, va y ouvrir une nouvelle chaîne d'assemblage pour ces moteurs d'avion très demandés. Un choix stratégique pour l'entreprise, une nouvelle étape pour l'écosystème marocain. « C'est un investissement majeur et stratégique. Le Maroc entre aujourd'hui dans le club très fermé de l'assemblage de moteurs d'avions commerciaux », met en avant Ryad Mezzour, le ministre marocain de l'Industrie. Ce nouvel investissement vient logiquement compléter l'offre du complexe Midparc, « un complexe qui est dédié à l'aéronautique où il y a déjà une soixantaine d'opérateurs qui sont déjà installés, et notamment Airbus. C'est tout un écosystème qui a été mis en place », ajoute Ryad Mezzour. Le ministre détaille les facteurs qui ont décidé Safran à choisir le Maroc pour son nouvel investissement parmi d'autres : « La stabilité politique et économique dont jouit le pays, la disponibilité grâce à la vision royale d'un large réservoir de talents, et la disponibilité, d'énergies renouvelables, compétitives pour nos investisseurs. » Il s'agit pour Safran de produire le moteur qui équipe notamment les Boeing 737. L'un des plus vendus dans l'histoire de l'aéronautique. Onze mille six cents sont actuellement en commande. « C'est vraiment un pays où nous avons investi depuis de nombreuses années, explique Stéphane Cueille, le président de Safran Aircraft Engines. Nous avons une taille critique, nous connaissons les compétences, l'écosystème et nous savons que nous aurons le niveau de garantie de réussir dans ce pays. La proximité géographique est aussi importante. On veut aussi être suffisamment proche de nos clients principaux pour que les coûts de transport soient raisonnables. » « On cherche une robustesse de notre schéma » La création d'une nouvelle ligne de production au Maroc pour ce moteur qui jusqu'ici n'était produit qu'en France. « On investit en France et on continue à investir dans les usines que nous avons, qui sont des usines historiques, avec des milliers d'employés qui font de la production », veut rassurer le président de Safran Aircraft Engines. Il explique le choix de l'implantation hors de l'Hexagone : « On cherche une robustesse de notre schéma en étant dans un autre pays, mais à proximité. Le critère économique est là, mais ce n'est pas le critère déterminant. Le facteur déterminant, c'est que nous avons au Maroc un site en construction de maintenance de moteurs et nous allons pouvoir mettre en commun entre ce site et la ligne d'assemblage, un banc d'essai pour tester les moteurs avant de les livrer, qui est un équipement extrêmement coûteux. Si on avait dû faire une nouvelle ligne en France, il aurait fallu investir un banc en France qui n'aurait pas été rentabilisé par une seule ligne de production. » À la clé, la création de 2 000 emplois directs et indirects pour le Maroc dans un contexte de revendications sociales importantes. Le FMI notait qu'en 2024 « le chômage est resté élevé, à environ 13% ».
