The SBS National Languages Competition 2018 is an exciting initiative to encourage and celebrate a love of learning languages in Australia. More than 300 languages are spoken in homes across Australia, but that diversity is not being reflected in the classroom. Ms. Amira Benjamin said the participation of our students in the competition will show their love for learning and relates them more to their heritage and history . She added "If we have a community, no matter how small it is, there should be a language school" .

Tibetan Learning Centre dates back to 1997 when some of the earliest Tibetan refugees initiated to teach Tibetan language to their kids over the weekend. Today, the weekend language school is officially registered under the NSW Community Language School and is held every Saturday at Mackellar Girls Campus, Manly Vale.
