SBS Radio is celebrating its 50th anniversary, but the German Club in Geelong, Victoria, is another 20 years older. The founder is Ferdi Klaus, from Cologne, who is 92. He lives with his wife in Grovedale in Geelong. This is the part of town that was also known as Germantown. Our traveling reporter Kia Kuhnert visited him there and was told how the club was founded in the dark post-war years. - SBS-Radio feiert seinen 50. Geburtstag, aber nochmal 20 Jahre älter ist der Deutsche Klub in Geelong, in Victoria. Der Gründer ist Ferdi Klaus, ein rüstiger Kölner, der mittlerweilen nun auch 92 Lenze zählt. Er wohnt mit seiner Frau in Grovedale in Geelong. Das ist der Teil der Stadt, der auch als Germantown bekannt war. Dort hat ihn unsere reisende Reporterin Kia Kuhnert besucht und sich erzählen lassen, wie es denn zur Gründung des Klubs in den dunklen Nachkriegsjahren gekommen ist.
