What a fun episode we have this week! Paul McGinty and Ian Sharpley of Mcsoss return to the podcast to discuss the music that has shaped their lives. We discuss and break down songs that make us sad, happy, angry, and everything in between. Why does Niki Minaj make Paul so sad? What one hit wonder of the 90s did Ian do a super deep dive on? What cheesy eighties song hits me right in the feels? The answers to all these questions and so much more! You can find Mcsoss on all major social media platforms and everywhere you find podcasts. Homework assignment for the next several weeks of shows: Tell me about what songs make you sad. What songs make you happy. What songs can you no longer listen to anymore for whatever reason. Is there a song that always brings you back to earth and grounds you? Is there a song that always makes you happy no matter the situation? Is there a band or artist that you just don't get? A band or artist that you feel like you should like but don't? Tell me all about the songs that affect you in all different ways. This show is driven by the content you provide! Join the show by clicking on the link pinned to the top of our social media pages. Leave your questions, comments, feedback or whatever you like! COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL AND ANONYMOUS. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! Thanks For Listening!
Didn't get a vacation this year? Be part of mine then! Join me and my friends on the balcony live from Ocean City Md as we discuss our favorite and least favorite songs, what makes us cry and we give audio commentary on our fellow humans on vacation. All this and much much more. In fact, far too much to recap in this space. Grab a drink and a comfy chair and enjoy the diary of our Ocean City Vacation. There is no real flow to this episode, much like our vacation, it's all over the map. Homework for next week: What are your thoughts on AMSR. LIke it? Hate it? Any experiences with it? Homework for two weeks: If you could erase one memory from your mind. What would it be and why? You can leave answers to these questions along with feedback, Dead Said Truths, questions, topics or anything you want by clicking on the link pinned to the top of the shows social media pages. TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL AND ANONYMOUS. Big thanks to Paul McGinty from McSoss and Brian Szczypinski for joining me on this episode. Thanks for listening!

Paul McGinty from McSoss.com is back this week and he is a big comic book fan. It makes sense, then, that he and his cohorts host the weekly McSoss Comic Book Podcast. After their last encounter Paul loaned Larry the graphic novel Batman: The Long Halloween and they convened to discuss the book, other comics, movie adaptations, and what brought Paul to comics in the first place. They also dip into some awards season stuff and even a little Super Bowl talk. Larry also plays more Aerosmith for Drum Groove of the Week. Enjoy!
Several weeks ago Larry and Spud poked fun at an old friend for being a fan of Death Cab for Cutie. This week Larry is joined by that friend, Paul McGinty of mcsoss.com, where you can find the McSoss Comic Book Podcast and the McSoss Webcomic, among other things. Larry and Paul talk about all kinds of music, not only Death Cab but country, pop, progressive rock, hair bands, classical music and even christian rock (gasp!). They also spend a good deal of time on Aerosmith, who they both love. This week's Drum Groove is, of course, Death Cab for Cutie. Enjoy!
It's part one of a great two parter. Ian Sharpley and Paul McGinty from McSoss join us to talk all things comics and pop culture. In part 1, we discuss their origin story. How they met, how they got into comics and the influence it's had on their lives. We talk about what it takes to put their web comic together and the interesting dynamic they have on their podcast. Next week on Part 2, we discuss whether the boom of comic book movies is watering down the marketplace, their thoughts on what comics translated to the big screen and which ones failed and why. We also discuss some recent casting news and so much more. Thanks for listening. McSoss.com A Fireside Chat Twitter Ian Sharpley'sTwitter Paul McGinty's Twitter McSoss' Facebook Fanpage
In part two of our conversation with Ian Sharpley and Paul McGinty from Mcsoss we discuss what the huge boom of comic book culture might mean and where they think comics will be in a few years. We also touch on Billy Bob Thornton and his failed music career, the best and worst of comic movies, why certain shows on the CW smell a little funky, and so much more! Be sure to check out McSoss and subscribe to the Mcsoss podcast on itunes and Stitcher radio. Thanks for listening, and please subscribe and rate and review in itunes!
