Just roaming the isles and looking at cover art was a joy in and of itself. There was no way to have a bad weekend when you went home with Fievel Goes West, Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle, and a bottle of Yoo-Hoo. If I had to guess I'd say my most rented games were Ducktales and A Link to the Past. I inherited a copy of Back to the Future II & III for the NES from a friend that passed that still has rental sticker on it from the gas station. I'll never get rid of it. We rented games mainly from NES, SNES, and N64, but I have the fondest memories of the SNES era. I remember renting Final Fantasy 3 for a couple weeks when it first released, knowing full well that I was about to get it for my birthday a couple months afterwards. Well, I got to a point in the game where it seems like it's the end, but it's really just the mid-point, but I remember being so mad thinking I was about to beat the game right before I get it for my birthday. After opening up the second half of the game, I was so happy that there was more to it, that I stupidly rented the game for another week, but still didn't beat it. Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has been told and retold countless times. Adapted by everything from the Muppets to weird motion capture CGI. Heck, we even did an adaptation of it once in this block of Those Were The Days when we covered Highway to Heaven! But there are a few retellings that stand tall above the others and today we're covering Mickey's Christmas Carol. A short, but very memorable retelling that introduced many of us to Scrooge McDuck for the first time. Despite the fact that he's been around since the 40's, this 1983 classic pushed him into our hearts and then kept him there by making him the main character of Ducktales. This one holds a special place in all of our hearts and I'm glad we're rounding out another year of television with it.We'll be back in 2026 with more TV, but for now we're taking a festive break to spend time with our friends and family over the holidays. They're teaming up for the first time in decades for a brand-new crossover comic series — Gargoyles / Darkwing Duck, debuting this January from Dynamite Entertainment.We'll dig into how this unlikely mash-up came together, what it's like blending the gothic mythos of Gargoyles with the high-energy satire of Darkwing Duck, and how the characters reflect two very different eras of Disney storytelling. We've got two new Brick flavors dropping before year's end (one brand new, one long-awaited favorite making its comeback), and we couldn't be more excited to share those.We're also gearing up for Hack Your Health in Tampa — I'll be speaking on the food addiction panel, and we're planning to link up with some old friends and maybe even get a lift in while we're there. In the meantime, I've got deer camp this weekend to fill the freezer and new feeder pigs arriving soon for the homestead. Never a dull moment.We spend some time talking about the pushback from vegans on social media lately — and I make it clear where I stand: I'm all about regenerative agriculture, raising animals ethically, and honoring the life that feeds us. I don't advocate for factory farming — I advocate for stewardship, self-sufficiency, and doing things the right way.From there, Greg and I dive into business and training updates. We're ramping up Keto Bodybuilding content and marketing, relaunching Live Savage Apparel with a totally new look, planning next year's retreats (including an entrepreneurial one), and I'm finally recording the audiobook version of my book for Audible.On the fitness front, we're running a new training split that's absolutely brutal in the best way — heavy squats, hip thrusts, lunges, and hypertrophy work. I'm hitting lifetime PRs and feeling strong. We're tweaking the workout app to make tracking smoother, scheduling bloodwork and Dexa scans, and already thinking ahead to prep in 2027.We talk a lot about order and alignment — getting the environment clean, systems dialed in, and priorities locked before the next phase of growth. Whether it's the gym, business, or homestead, everything runs smoother when you take the time to clear out the clutter and tighten things up.I also get personal toward the end — sharing some thoughts on parenting Rigel and figuring out how to discipline without breaking his spirit. Joe Martinez from Now Watch This and I dive into the DuckTales episode “Ducky Horror Picture Show!”Scrooge has just succeeded in another business venture, showing monster movies in Duckburg's newest theater. Consequently, he moves on to his next project, renovating a rundown convention center. Unbeknownst to him, a werewolf (wolfduck?) rents it out for his group of monsters, including Drakeula, Quackymodo, and Quackenstein. Scrooge has also unwittingly allowed them to stay in his mansion as a hotel.As the creatures arrive, their antics cause mayhem and destruction, and his convention center. Subsequently, shenanigans ensue at his mansion as well. Further, the arrival of giant ape Ping Pong (get it?) causes a commotion at his money bin. As it turns out, though, the monsters begin to protest Scrooge's theater, thinking it gives them a bad name. Instead, the join forces with Scrooge to put on shows and make each other money.Monsters? The 1990 versions of Jordan and Nic loved that movie. The rest of the world ignored it...and its massive flop in the cinematic ocean ensured decades of Disney musicals that haunt our dreams. But for this one episode, we hope we gave 1990s Ducktales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, its due. If we did not, at least we got to get corkscrew deep into duck anatomy.
