This November we played through our first ever title on the original Game Boy. Hosts, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81), are joined by special guest, RF Generation site member, and gray brick aficionado, MetalFRO (aka. Join RF Generation Playcast hosts, Rich (singlebanana), Shawn (GrayGhost81), and long time RF Generation member and front page contributor, Addicted, as they discuss a popular, point-and-click PC title from 2002, Syberia. This month's Playcast travels through Old World, European communities inhabited by humans and marvelous, mechanical, masterpieces called automatons. In this month's podcast, we take an in-depth look at Syberia's fantastic narrative, beautiful, steampunk art style, and its stripped down game mechanics. This title has received praise from point-and-click enthusiasts, but how does it set on the palates of our fine, gaming connoisseurs? Did this game's messages find their way into the hearts and minds of our participants, or are they simply muddled due to other shortcomings? And can the boys ever figure out how to line up a call correctly? The answers to these questions and many more in this month's episode of the RF Generation Playcast! This month's Playcast ventures into a magnificent, limbo-like world of fantasy where a young lady struggles to get back to the world of the living and save her dying father. In this month's podcast, we take an in-depth look at Ubisoft's Child of Light. This title has received overwhelming praise from reviewers, but is it a meal fit for our finicky co-hosts' palates? What mechanics make the gameplay of this super, compact RPG so distinct? And even though they all scream, does anyone actually get any ice cream? On the retro side, Rich, Floyd, and Steven dig deep into the Golden Axe series and are joined by RF Generation 2015 Donation Drive Playthrough Lot winner, Fokakis79 and Cameron Johnson, guitarist from the progressive metal band, Atma Weapon. For the modern segment, Shawn and Steven manage to drag Rich over to the "darkside" to discuss the brutal and oh so action-packed space adventure, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. So, this is now painfully late. I was slow to edit, then once I had it, the file locked up and I lost all of my edits. In the middle of this, RF Generation had a major issue on the site, causing us to lose 3 years of forum posts and a couple of months of database work. But, here it is! Our awards show and also an interview with lisalover1! 0:00 - Intro 1:40 - Interview with lisalover1 33:37 - End of the Year Awards! E3 has come and gone and, as usual, none of the content in our episodes is going to be breaking news. But we thought it was important to talk about and give our perspectives on. One other note, we are currently using free hosting on PodOmatic, which only gives us so much space. With this episode, we are over that limit. To keep it going until we figure out a long term solution, I have deleted some of the earlier episodes, but will have some links posted in the thread on RF Generation so you can download them if you would like. 0:00 - Intro 1:10 - The Others 8:20 - Microsoft 24:55 - Sony 43:25 - Nintendo 1:07:48 - Game Shout Out! 1:12:29 - Top 5 and Outro
