Dan the Mega Driver is joined by Dibbs Ahoy and Bedgell of Gaming for Ages, as well as The Retro Martin to debate which Sonic game is the greatest of all time. With each proclaiming a different game to lay claim to that title, this discussion could get heated!
Show Notes On this week's podcast, Dan and Kris dive into an ill-prepared 10 20 30 40 because of a refrigerator. But don't worry, the Sega Saturn is here to save the day with some very cool games! And next month, there will even be something to talk about in 1986. Things are looking up! Then, in Week Old News, the new Street Fighter trailer enrages Dan, while the new Street Fighter DLC does very little to address the incest of it all. Plus, He-Man gets delayed, Billy Mitchell is heading back to court, the original Wild Gunman gets preserved in astounding style, and the Neo Geo is coming back in a big (and depending on how you look at it) bad way. Finally, in the Checkpoint, Kris spent some quality time in his yard and enjoyed the great outdoors. His ear also still hurts, but that's neither here nor there. While DAn gets to start playing a game he's not allowed to talk about, and does some overdue yardwork of his own. Enjoy! See Our Faces!!! Co-host Chris (Retro Hangover podcast) joins to PKG throughout this mashup that's either a marketing ploy or a good time, depending on who you ask. It brought the Virtua Fighter engine, it brought some (at the time) not-yet-released moves from VF 3, it brought the armor and stage destruction mechanics of Fighting Vipers...and it brought Sonic the Fighters and Daytona USA into the ring, too. This is a game that means so much to me (Rick) and immediately takes me back to being a wee lad playing the first console I ever owned. We hope you love the show today. Enjoy!Thank you for listening!
