"I can't drink I'll die!" laments Christi as she nurses a migraine while trying to still overcome the fact Jill really seemed like she wanted Kendall to play Rosa Parks. It's the second half of "The Apple of Her Eye" and it's time for Power House Dance Competition where the ALDC is up against Cathy's boys once more, and this time losing to Cathy isn't an option. The last time Abby went head to head with Cathy, it ended in a water bottle fight and plenty of screaming, something neither Cathy or Abby is going to let the other forget. Cathy hires "bodyguards" to keep her safe and Abby taunts her for purse assault (despite the fact that Abby started it). But it all comes down to who bests who on the stage, and the ALDC brings their A-game.There are mishaps to be had on both sides however, and Kelly consequently has some very unkind words for Jalen that may cross a few lines. But will it cross as many lines as Paige and Chloe's outfits? For Christi and Kelly, they might just have to cross a line to put into words just how shocking those outfits even were! Also remember, today is your last day to order Back to the Barre merchandise if you want guaranteed Christmas delivery!https://www.jakenothing.com/collections/back-to-the-barreQuotes“That is like our famous line and I have like no idea. My kids are like: Do this with me mom, and they want me to reenact it. I cannot do it! Because we're not actresses Kelly we just say funny shit when it comes to us.” (04:17-04:30 | Christi and Kelly)“Abby tells Mackenzie to make sure that she helps Kendall with her facial expressions. Ok, like let me paint a clown face on so she's smiling for the whole dance like whatever Abby.” (29:05-29:21 | Kelly)“Yeah I think you're allowed to call your own kid a hooker.” (37:03-37:08 | Christi)“I didn't really get a mug shot. They made a pretend one. They did because that was at the Top of the Pyramid, which how did you get to the top for fighting? God if you get at the top for fighting I should have been at the top the whole time.” (51:24-51:35 | Christi and Kelly)LinksSubscribe to us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC50aSBAYXH_9yU2YkKyXZ0w Subscribe to our Patreon: www.patreon.com/backtothebarreThank you to Ashley Jana for allowing us to use Electricity!! Join Kate and Sheila as they recap one of the most impactful books they've read this year. Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley starts with a powerful rephrased Frederick Douglass quote, “It is easier to raise strong children than to repair broken men and women” and then he goes on from there to supply readers with the nuts and bolts (ideas) on how to raise strong kids. Favorite quotes abound! Here are just a few: “The heart always follows the habit.” “Nothing important is easy.” “The struggle against boredom is really just the struggle against a fallen imagination.” “Send kids to bed with a settled soul.” “The human heart is never not being shaped by something, it is not a car, there is no neutral.” “The final role of a parent is to keep looking to Jesus.” The Pyramid of Discipline is a blessing to both kids and parents! It starts with loving authority for the foundation. There are 5 parts to the second level: 1. Pause 2. Prayer 3. Body Language 4. Understanding 5. Consequences Level 3 Confession Level 4 Reconciliation (he has his boys hug until they smile) : ) He discusses how limits are positive (not a surprise to those who've read the Boundaries book) and connects it to Jesus taking on the limits of being a man, disciplining Himself into a life of sacrifice. Why? So we could be free from the ultimate limitation of sin and death. We loved the sending prayer for families as they are leaving the house: Father, thank You for this day. Bless us as we work, study, and play. Be present with us in all we do. May we bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus name Justin suggests lighting a candle before mealtime and having the children say, “Jesus is the light” Then he shares a game he came up with out of necessity (the mother of invention) called The Pepper Game. Whoever is holding the pepper shaker asks a question then he/she passes the shaker. The holder of the shaker answers the question and passes the shaker to the next person. We tried this out with young and old and it was a hit! Everyone learns to listen! Trust us, this book is TOO good to miss! It will bless you in a plethora of ways! Adding value to daily routines that will impact your kids for the rest of their days! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/recapbookchat/message

(00:00-27:11) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query, Brendan King, and producer Eddie Garrison touching on the IU basketball and Pacers games from yesterday. They transition to the Indianapolis Colts by focusing on the remaining quarterbacks the team will face now that Joe Burrow was ruled out for the rest of the season. (27:11-44:49) – Legendary voice of the Indiana Hoosiers in Don Fischer makes his weekly stop on Query & Company with Jake and Brendan to recap the Hoosiers loss to UConn yesterday, if there's concern about the slow transition from high school to college that Mackenzie Mgbako is going through, how many games it'll take before we know what kind of team Mike Woodson has, and what the Hoosiers can take away from their loss to UConn to help them the rest of the season. (44:49-48:58) – Hour one concludes with Jake calling for Robin the Genie to ask Brendan which four teams he thinks will make the College Football Playoff. (48:58-1:13:18) – Co-host of the Wake Up Call with KB & Andy in Kevin Bowen makes his weekly appearance on Query & Company to access how the bye week went for the Indianapolis Colts, ranks the top three quarterbacks that the Colts will face the rest of the season, tries to predict how many wins the Colts will need out of their final seven games in order to make the playoffs, and previews tomorrow's show. (1:13:18-1:30:17) – Indiana Pacers beat reporter Dustin Dopirak from the Indianapolis Star joins Query & Company to discuss if the four days off attributed to the blowout loss to the Orlando Magic yesterday, access if Buddy Hield is in a slump or if he's still adjusting to his new role within the offense, highlights how long it'll until the game will start slowing down for Jarace Walker after looking confused in his minutes yesterday, and preview tomorrow's game against the Atlanta Hawks with a win clinching the Pacers for the knockout stage in the in-season tournament. (1:30:17-1:36:58) – The one o'clock hour concludes with Jake admitting that he was wrong about Formula 1 racing in Las Vegas. He shared his opinion on how the race went for the sport. (1:36:58-2:01:34) – The final hour of the show starts with a couple callers calling in to voice their opinion on two different things. One caller questioned why Jimmy Cook wouldn't try to get out of jury duty. The other caller shared his experience in Las Vegas with the F1 Race. Jake and Brendan transition to the future of IU basketball because he believes players aren't coming to Indiana because they want to play for the program. He states that players come to IU for what the program can do for them. (2:01:34-2:14:34) – IU media legend George Montgomery joins Jake and Brendan on Query & Company to access Indiana's loss last night to the UConn Huskies, where his biggest concern is right now with the Hoosiers and previews this afternoon's game against the Louisville Cardinals. (2:14:34-2:24:02) – Today's show ends with Brendan asking Jake which position he would want on The $100,000 Pyramid. They also touch on IU's game against Louisville this afternoon and the start of the season for the Butler Bulldogs!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Did you watch television in the 70s? If so, it was highly likely that you watched something that was created or produced by Dick Clark. The centerpiece of his entertainment empire was "American Bandstand," but there was more than that, including "New Year's Rockin' Eve" and "The 25,000 Pyramid." Clark was concerned about his legacy and this episode examines just what that legacy was and how it was part of 70s pop culture.
The Dudes dive into the non-fiction book, Hope of the Wicked: The Master Plan to Rule the World by author Ted Flynn. This book is 550 pages of information about the multi-century development of the politically charged and often cited New World Order. There is a spiritual battle going on throughout our world that has been happening since the dawn of time and is culminating in our global political theater. In Chapter 7, The Dudes explore the historic, somewhat dark roots of Freemasonry in America. The subject of Freemasonry spreads its wings wide and includes Albert Pike, the 33rd Degree and the Phoenix, the Great Seal of the United States of America, the Pyramid and other symbolism in our Great Seal. We touch on Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, The Statue of Liberty and the Secret Plan to rewrite the history of the USA.The Ryan Samuels ShowModern-day politics discussion and analysis. Episode #114 - Parenting Problems and Cleaning Up Your Own Side of the Street, Ask Me Anything SeriesToday's podcast consists of questions sent in by listeners. I answer 2 parenting questions:Question #1My son is 18 and has challenges with alcohol and nicotine. He is masking his challenges and feelings by checking out of life with both of those. My daughter is 16 and is questioning her faith. She has stopped going to church. I need some help recognizing how to build a better relationship with both of them. They've built up many walls and we don't really communicate much at all. I don't know what to do next. Question #2I need some help rebuilding the relationship with my adult son. He's created perceptions in his mind about who I am, and they are not correct. It's damaging our relationship. I've already tried asking more questions, being less judgmental, and showing more love, but it's not working. I think I need help in finding acceptance for myself and him. While doing research for a project in Egypt, he discovered an alien message written beside the Great Pyramid in a 2012 NASA photo. Gary also claims to have discovered a giant alien in the July 26th, 2012 NASA photo. Gary made a video showing how to find and see the alien. He sent the video to NASA last week and the very next day NASA removed the original photo from their website. Gary claims that he has communicated with the giant alien using a channeled message from the alien while standing in the Gila River in Florence, Arizona. Gary has sent his findings to NASA officials, the media, academia, religious organizations, federal authorities to which there has been no response. Fact or Fiction, you be the judge. Three news stories summarized & contextualized by analytic journalist Colin Wright.Hollywood actors reach deal with studios to end strikeSummary: The Hollywood actors union, SAG-AFTRA, announced on Wednesday that they've reached a tentative deal with major studios, ending a 118-day strike and a longer 148-day shutdown across much of the industry.Context: The union said that the deal is valued at over a billion dollars and will, among other things, protect their members from the threat of AI; that longer shutdown kicked-off when the Hollywood writer's union went on strike in May, and they were able to reach a deal in September, but because the actors were still striking, most productions didn't immediately pick back up, and though the actor's strike officially ended yesterday it'll probably be January before production restarts on most shows and films because of the complexities of aligning schedules, booking studio space, and the like.—AxiosOne Sentence News is a reader-supported publication. To support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.FDA approves new version of diabetes drug Mounjaro for weight lossSummary: A version of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly's diabetes treatment, Mounjaro, has been approved to be sold as a weight-loss drug in the US by the FDA under the name Zepbound.Context: This is just the latest diabetes drug to be approved for chronic weight management in the US, the first of which was Novo Nordisk's Wegovy, a rebranded, higher-dose version of its diabetes medication, Ozempic; Wegovy has been incredibly popular and profitable for Novo Nordisk, and both drugs operate on similar principles, basically helping people who struggle to lose weight and with the many medical downsides that come with obesity by mimicking hormones that help people feel full; these drugs have performed well in tests, seem to have relatively minor side-effects—at least compared to the obesity-related issues patients otherwise face—and have helped folks lose up to a quarter of their total weight when combined with dietary changes and exercise; both drugs are fairly expensive at around $1,000 per month, though, and aren't currently covered by insurance.—The Associated PressUS strikes Iran-linked facility in Syria in round of retaliationSummary: Following a wave of rocket and drone attacks against American forces and defenses in Iraq and Syria, the US has launched airstrikes against a facility used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Syria.Context: This is mostly notable because Iran has been backing relatively minor attacks against US defense infrastructure across the Middle East for a while now, and these attacks have slightly increased in scope and scale since Israel's counterattack in Gaza began about a month ago, suggesting that while a feared, more formal attack from Iran against Israel and its allies in the region might not be forthcoming, a subtle, deconstructed version of the same might be ongoing.—The New York TimesA new report has found that the 12 month period ending in October 2023 was the hottest such period on record, and that a huge portion of the human population experienced, firsthand, the impact of that human-amplified average temperature range.—Axios25,000-14,000Approximate age, in years, of parts of a pyramid in Indonesia that was recently radiocarbon dated, making it the oldest known pyramid in the world. That compares with the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is thought to be around 4,600-years-old, and the Pyramid of Djoser, which is thought to have been built sometime around 2630 BCE.—Phys.orgTrust Click Get full access to One Sentence News at onesentencenews.substack.com/subscribe

It wasn't your family doctor that got you through being sick as a kid. It wasn't even the bed rest. Anyone who ever sat home sick from school with saltines, 7•UP and soup knows it was the Price is Right, Press Your Luck and The Pyramid that got ultimately us back on our feet. Game shows — once relegated to morning TV and syndicated UHF programming — have become a huge part of the American pop-culture fabric. And whether it's feeling smart because you can answer a question the contestants couldn't, or living vicariously when someone you're rooting for wins the Showcase Showdown, it's clear there are countless reasons why household names like Pat Sajak, Wink Martindale and Alex Trebek got to be household names in the first place. So let's go to the board with Saint and Jim, and see what the survey says.
Graham and Taylor get into a topic that just sorta... keeps on going: the English league pyramid! How many different levels are involved and how many clubs does that cover? What is life like for the smallest clubs in the structure? Which clubs have risen through the ranks? All that and more on this week's episode!
Today's podcast is with Mat Boulé and Jeff Moyer. Mat Boulé is an osteopath and posturologist educated in functional neurology muscle activation techniques, and is the founder of the IP institute. Mat combines innovative and well-known techniques such as Posturology and Functional Neurology elements to balance the body. Jeff Moyer is the owner of DC sports training in Pittsburgh, PA. Jeff has been a multi-time guest on the show, appearing as a solo guest in three shows and on three roundtables. His expertise includes elements such as Soviet training systems, motor learning, skill acquisition, pain reduction and reconditioning, in addition to neurological concepts as they relate to athletic performance and human movement proficiency. Human beings are complex organisms. Movement is a multi-faceted action, made up of muscular actions, fascial tensegrity, connective tissue transmission, pressure and fluid dynamics, and of course neuromuscular control that is also connected to one's senses and the outside environment. To have a complete understanding of athletic movement and performance, it is helpful to have a working knowledge of the neurological components of movement, including foot skin sensitivity, vestibular function, vision, and sided-ness to name a few. Today's podcast digs into those neurological elements that can contribute to performance. Mat and Jeff discuss how they assess and train clients and athletes with these principles, discussing the use of sensory tools, rolling and rocking variations, balance and foot training, as well as the role of a well-functioning neurological apparatus in skilled athletic movement. Let's get down to the wonderful story of Summerhill Pyramid Winery. Stephen, your accomplishments would fill a New York City phone book. But let's start back at the beginning. Where did all of this begin in connection with the Earth of the land and begin? It goes back to my childhood. I love growing things in the soil, being outdoors, and climbing trees a little. As a little boy, I've always been an outdoor kid, and I, you know, got involved in real estate development in a way that would save the wetlands and the steep slopes and very involved in early in the 60s, 60s hippie, if you will, out there protesting the way people built things. I was one of the founders of why environmental rules are so strict today, why they can't just fill in wetlands and stuff like that was my original push in New YorkYour Host: Forrest Kelly is an experienced Radio/TV broadcaster who has interviewed some of Hollywood's biggest celebrities, from Shania Twain to Kevin Costner. A lover of wine who is fascinated by the science behind it.Voted one of the best travel podcasts of 2021
[Part 3] Ancient mysteries lie in caves: 155 lifelike, human figures were etched on the floor of a French cave—and they're at least 15,000 years old. Are they proof that the commonly accepted timeline of humanity needs to be adjusted? Why was the Pyramid of the Magician in Mexico also called the “House of the Dwarf,” and is it a clue about its real history? Little beings with supernatural powers were said to raise the entire structure using a surprising method not recognized by science until modern times, thousands of years later. In Iceland, friendly elves, helpful spirits, and mysterious cave creatures interacted with people in the early 1900s. Amazingly, the stories Metaphysical found align with aspects of tommyknocker sightings from across the globe. Rob and John also uncovered the most believable account ever found of a “kidnapping-by-troll” in Norway, but judge for yourself when you hear about this bizarre 1690s court case. Join remote viewer John Vivanco and investigative researcher Rob Counts for a show that's out of this world.
