Rev. Debra continues her exploration of Finding Yourself in Transition by Rev. Robert Brumet. This week, she reminds us that each season of life is to be honored, including the time in the wilderness --or as Rev. Brumet terms it, "The Void." He writes: "In order to become who we really are, we must let go of who we are not... The Void is a passageway to truly becoming alive and fully awake" [p. 89]

We are continuing our Sunday series based on the book, Birthing a Greater Reality: A Guide for Conscious Evolution by Robert Brumet. This week's exploration considers the process by which we lost touch with our essential (spiritual) nature, instead identifying with the persona formed around our ego-identity.I know that we are all well past our formative years- so you may be asking, why are we re-hashing our childhood at this point? The answer is that we are conscious evolution. That process also holds the key to a deeper sense of freedom, purpose and peace for us as individuals. We are being called to wake up to the ways that we have mistaken our identity and to reclaim the truth of our essential nature- that which is Spirit within us. While this does take into consideration the psychological aspects of our identity, it is ultimately a spiritual issue in that we have mistakenly indentified with our persona over our true, essential nature.

We explore the topic of spiritual healing due to the fact that we also are spiritual beings ourselves. Rev. Wendy continues her five weeks series on "Finding Yourself in Transition" by Robert Brumet. She presents a lesson about new beginnings "moving in the direction of what we are dreaming of." Things start to happen when one experiences two things: 1. "We will experience more universal and liberal laws as establishing themselves in our lives." 2. " Or the old will somehow be expanded in a new way that we might then step into a whole new realm of life and living." She also shares the important realization that is grounded in a new beginning: "external is not necessarily a true new beginning." Get our free App! Join Rev. Kelly and special guest Rev. Robert Brumet for the first of several conversations about his latest book, Birthing a Greater Reality. This book is divided into three general segments. First it focuses on the big picture, starting from the beginning of time: we look at who we are, why we are here, and what choices lie before us at this point in our evolutionary journey. Second, we focus on the personal level: asking ourselves, Who am I, and why am I here? To transform, we must explore these answers and reconsider them at the deepest level of our identity. Finally, we integrate our understanding of global evolution with the wisdom derived from personal transformation. We then have a blueprint for what is ours to do. According to Robert, "As we align our heart's deepest desire with the direction of evolution, we become God's hands and feet in this evolving universe of form." Join us for a firsthand look at this newest book from Unity Books.
