1. Guest: Richard Snow. Snow introduces the key figures of the Somers mutiny: Philip Spencer, the rebellious son of a cabinet member, and Captain Mackenzie, a disciplinarian author. Their conflict unfolds aboard a crowded, experimental naval school ship.
I never thought I'd be glued to my screen watching courtroom drama unfold like a blockbuster thriller, but here we are in mid-February 2026, and President Donald Trump's legal battles are heating up faster than a Florida summer. Just two days ago, on February 11, a judge in Miami made waves by greenlighting Trump's massive $10 billion libel lawsuit against the BBC. Picture this: the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. U.S. Courthouse at 400 North Miami Avenue, where Judge Roy K. Altman set a trial date for February 15, 2027. Trump accuses the BBC's Panorama documentary—aired right before the 2024 election—of doctored editing. They spliced clips from his January 6, 2021, speech at the Ellipse, making it sound like he said, "We're going to walk down to the Capitol... and I'll be there with you. And we fight. We fight like hell." According to court documents from the US District Court Southern District of Florida, Trump's lawyers call it "false and defamatory," claiming the BBC maliciously misled viewers worldwide. The leak of a memo from Michael Prescott, the BBC's former external adviser, fueled the fire, pointing to bias in that episode. BBC chair Samir Shah admitted an "error of judgement" but insists there's no defamation case. The BBC's fighting back hard, arguing the Florida court lacks jurisdiction since they didn't produce or air the show there—despite Trump pointing to BritBox streaming. A BBC spokesperson told The Independent they're defending vigorously and won't comment further. Trump's no stranger to media suits; he's already tangling with The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. But that's just the appetizer. Shift to the Supreme Court, where whispers of bigger clashes are building. SCOTUSblog reports the justices are eyeing Trump-related heavyweights for their April session, including immigration tweaks, Fourth Amendment fights, and even claims against companies aiding torture. A News4JAX segment from late January flags 2026 as the real showdown year: will the court let Trump reshape birthright citizenship via executive order? Chief Justice John Roberts has been subtly defending judicial independence, hinting at history over politics. Cases like the Federal Reserve governor dismissal—tied to alleged mortgage fraud claims—are bubbling up, with the court skeptical of quick removals without full hearings. Then there's the mass detention policy upheld by the 5th Circuit, but federal judges are finding workarounds, per Politico. The Brennan Center tracks three active prosecutions against Trump from his pre-presidency days: the federal election interference case in Washington, D.C., the Georgia Fulton County probe, and the classified documents mess in Florida—plus that New York hush money conviction from May 2024. Lawfare's litigation tracker notes ongoing appeals, like vacating Trump's executive orders. As a guy who's followed this rollercoaster since the 2024 win, it feels like the judiciary's drawing a line in the sand during Trump's second term—midterms looming, no re-election bid, courts bolder. The BBC trial's a year out, but Supreme Court arguments kick off February 23, with more on February 20. Will tariffs, citizenship, or Fed power test the limits? Buckle up, listeners; the gavel's about to drop. Thanks for tuning in, and come back next week for more. Main Text: Matthew 20:17-19 (ESV)17 And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, 18 “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death 19 and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”Preaching Point: We must unequivocally accept that God uses human means, including human evil, to accomplish his sovereign, predetermined will, chiefly displayed in the suffering and death of Jesus, which secured our salvation.Teaching Points:Recognize That God's Plan Is Settled Before it Unfolds (vv. 17-19)Accept God's Use of Human Means to Accomplish His Plan (vv. 17-19)Application Questions:Write down one observation or application you found helpful from this week's sermon. Why did it stand out to you?Read Matthew 20:17-19, Acts 2:22-24, and Acts 4:27-28. What do these passages teach you about God's sovereign control over the suffering and death of Jesus?Read Acts 2:23. Peter tells the people of Israel that “you” crucified and killed Jesus, even though this happened according to God's definite plan. Why is it important to hold together both God's sovereignty and human responsibility?Where are you most tempted to emphasize one at the expense of the other?Read Isaiah 46:9-11, Genesis 50:15-21, and Psalm 139:16. How do these passages influence your understanding that God is orchestrating both the greatest events of history and the smallest details of life according to his will? How should this perspective change the way you understand hardship, injustice, or disappointment?Read Proverbs 19:21, Proverbs 21:1, and Philippians 2:12-13. What do these passages teach you about the relationship between God's sovereign plans and human decisions? How can a firm belief in God's sovereignty bring you comfort, confidence, and humility this week?

Hello! And welcome to Episode 385. Most people think projects start with design or budgeting. They don’t. This episode introduces the four real phases of every project, and explains why confusion, rework, and cost blowouts usually come from skipping or rushing the early ones. So if you’re starting out and feeling overwhelmed or confused, you’re not behind. And in tuning into this episode, and the Mini-sode Series I’m kicking off, you’re in the right place to gain some helpful insights and know-how before you start your project. [For all resources mentioned in this podcast and a free, downloadable PDF transcript, head to www.undercoverarchitect.com/385] Welcome to this Mini-Sodes Series called ‘Start Here’. Each episode is designed to eliminate assumptions, bust common myths, and help you understand what actually matters first, before you dive headlong into your project driven by excitement alone. You’ll learn what to prioritise now, what can wait, and how to move forward without feeling overwhelmed. Most homeowners feel overwhelmed before diving into their new build or renovation planning. Nervous, but excited. Confused, but optimistic. Creating your future home is an opportunity to support your lifestyle, reflect your values, and create a place to live and enjoy for years to come. At the same time, a renovation or new build is often the biggest financial investment you’ll make outside of purchasing property. There can feel like a lot at stake, and the industry can appear opaque and complex. If you’re wondering where to start, that’s the most common question I receive at Undercover Architect, and it’s why I created this series. Before we begin, I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Widjabul Wia-bal people of the Bundjalung Nation. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and I honour their ongoing connection to land, culture and community. It’s Amelia Lee here, founder and architect behind Undercover Architect, an online education platform that teaches homeowners how to get it right when designing, building or renovating their home, simply and with confidence, wherever you’re located and whoever you’re working with. Undercover Architect is your secret ally. Not here to tell you what your home should look like, or to push an aesthetic, finish, or product. This is about helping you understand the process, ask better questions, avoid stressful and expensive mistakes, and make clear, informed decisions that are right for you and your project. So let’s dive into Part 1 of the Start Here Series, ‘How Every Project Really Unfolds’. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS PODCAST: For links, images and resources mentioned in this podcast, plus a full transcript, head to >>> www.undercoverarchitect.com/385 The Get Started Guide Mini-Course You can jump into Undercover Architect’s mini-course, The Get Started Guide, which helps you begin organising your thinking about the first best steps for any project. PROJECT 101 Self-Study Online Course If you’re still working out whether building or renovating is the right move for you, or you want to get your head around what’s involved before committing too far, PROJECT 101 is designed for that stage. It helps you understand the moving parts of a project and how cost, time, team, design, and you interact, so you can feel oriented and informed. HOME Method Online Program And if you want guidance and support right through all four phases of your project, with the steps, tools, resources and personalised help to navigate your project confidently, manage your risk and avoid costly mistakes, then Undercover Architect’s signature online program, HOME Method, is where you’ll find the community, coaching and education you need to support you every step of the way. Interview with Peter Akerley, President & CEO of Erdene Resource Development Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/erdene-resource-development-tsxerd-fulfills-first-gold-pour-in-mongolias-bayan-khundii-8096Recording date: 12th January 2026Erdene Resource Development achieved first gold production at its Bayan Khundii mine in southwestern Mongolia during Q3 2025, marking a significant milestone for the junior miner. The company completed the $115 million construction in 22 months, meeting both timeline and budget targets despite operating in what was previously considered a challenging infrastructure environment. The plant has reached nameplate capacity of 1,950 tons per day, currently processing material at approximately 2 g/t. Erdene is systematically increasing feed grades toward the 3.8 g/t reserve grade, targeting commercial production declaration by April 2026. The company transitioned from bulk mining during commissioning to selective high-grade operations, though technical refinements continue around blasting optimization and material handling. The operating subsidiary carries $123 million in debt, comprising a $50 million commercial loan and approximately $60 million in shareholder loans from partner Mongolian Mining Corporation. Despite debt service obligations, partners approved a $10 million exploration budget for 2026, reflecting confidence that operations have achieved self-sustaining status.Erdene's growth pipeline includes the Dark Horse satellite deposit containing 48,000 ounces at 7 g/t, scheduled for year-three production. The company is evaluating plant expansion options including gravity circuit additions and heap leach processing for oxide material. Major development projects include the Altan Nar gold-copper project advancing toward feasibility over three years and the Zuun Mod molybdenum-copper system delivering a preliminary economic assessment by mid-2026.The strategic context has improved significantly since project conception. Infrastructure constraints that historically challenged southwestern Mongolia are being resolved through Chinese border power connectivity and road construction. Gold prices above $2,600 versus the $1,860 reserve base definition create substantial margin expansion potential, while lower cutoff grades expand the economic envelope across multiple deposits. CEO Peter Akerley describes the strategy as building "a new minerals district in southwestern Mongolia that ultimately will be a multi-mine producer of multiple commodities."View Erdene Resource Development's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/erdene-resource-developmentSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Global antisemitism is no longer hidden. It is violent, organized, and spreading across the world at an alarming pace. In this episode of MidEast & Beyond, Amir Tsarfati and Pastor Barry Stagner expose the shocking rise of antisemitic violence, terror attacks, and ideological hatred targeting Jewish people worldwide, from Australia and Europe to the United States. This conversation goes beyond the headlines, connecting today's events to Bible prophecy and revealing why these developments are not random and why Scripture warned they would occur in the last days.Connect with us on social:Telegram: @beholdisraelchannelInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/amir.tsarfati/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/beholdisrael/X: https://x.com/beholdisraelYouTube: https://youtube.com/@beholdisrael
This podcast episode elucidates the intricate developments surrounding American Signature's Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, wherein the U.S. Trustee has articulated significant objections regarding potential conflicts of interest. Specifically, the Trustee asserts that the affiliations among American Signature, SB360 Capital Partners, and other associated entities, all linked to the Schottenstein family, necessitate a thorough scrutiny to safeguard the bankruptcy estate's integrity. As the dialogue unfolds, we explore the implications of these proceedings on the broader furniture industry, particularly in light of the recent slowdown in sales momentum, as evidenced by the Department of Commerce's latest report. Furthermore, I will delve into the optimistic forecasts for manufacturing revenues in 2026, juxtaposed against the persistent challenges posed by rising raw material and labor costs. Lastly, we shall examine emerging trends within the market, including the burgeoning popularity of gaming furniture that reflects contemporary consumer behaviors, thereby providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of the industry.Takeaways: The bankruptcy proceedings of American Signature are under scrutiny due to potential conflicts of interest involving the Schottenstein family. Sales data indicates a troubling trend in the furniture industry, with only a minimal increase over the previous year's October figures. Manufacturers anticipate a promising financial outlook for 2026, expecting a revenue growth of approximately 4.4%. The introduction of multifunctional gaming furniture at the High Point market reflects evolving consumer lifestyles and preferences. Brandhouse Collective's disappointing sales figures underscore the challenges faced by retailers during the transition to Bed, Bath and Beyond. The ongoing rise in raw material and labor costs continues to challenge margin stability within the furniture manufacturing sector. Texans Dominate Cardinals! Rockets vs. Nuggets Tonight, Heisman Drama Unfolds
In the true crime courtroom spotlight, the Brian Walshe murder trial entered one of its most consequential phases as the defense began presenting its case. Prosecutors allege Walshe murdered and dismembered his wife, Ana Walshe, after she vanished under suspicious circumstances. The defense has signaled that Brian Walshe himself may testify, a move that could dramatically alter the trajectory of the trial. Jurors have already heard the defense claim that Walshe awoke to find his wife dead beside him, a narrative that now faces intense scrutiny given the evidence of dismemberment and concealment that followed. Legal analysts note that while sudden death is medically possible, the actions taken afterward present a steep challenge for the defense to explain credibly. With no lesser charges currently on the table, the jury's decision could hinge entirely on whether this account withstands cross-examination. Together, these unfolding cases reflect the volatile intersection of power, accountability, and justice, as investigators, jurors, and the public await answers that could permanently reshape reputations, careers, and lives. #TrueCrime #BreakingNews #BrianWalshe #CrimeNews #MurderTrial #Justice #CourtroomDrama #CollegeFootball #InvestigativeNews Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
