Our worship and service to God should be evident in our lifestyle and not just in response to threats or dangers.
It seems in our world that most Christians either fall into one of two camps: fighters, those you seek to fight against the culture around them or hiders, those who seek to hide their faith. But are these the only options for living in Babylon? Or is their a third way? Listen to this #sermon to find out! Daniel 6 - Thrive in the Fire - Sawyer Trapp

Daniel leaves an amazing footprint in the Scriptures. In spite of difficult circumstances, Daniel maintained his faith in God - which led to facing even more difficult situations. It's in this relationship that God demonstrates His faithfulness to His people.

God’s people grow in their faith and their ability to face the challenges of life when they practice a disciplined spiritual life, including a consistent and unhindered prayer life.

If you play a little “word association” and say the word “Daniel“, the immediate response for many would be “lion’s den“. Chapter 6 is that well known Bible chapter that holds this famous story. People have heard of the story but many of them don’t really know the details. They don’t know about the new transitional government of the Medes and Persians or the new leadership structure. They don’t know about Daniel’s promotion or the political enemies he is making. Hey, so why did he get thrown in that lion’s den anyway? Why didn’t the lion’s eat him alive? For me, one of the coolest aspects was the real fondness the king had for Daniel. You know, if you have integrity, are trustworthy, and really seem to care about people, you find God’s blessing in your work and relationships. When you live a Spirit filled life of loyalty to God, mouths get miraculously shut! Listen in and see this miraculous story of God’s protection over His faithful servant Daniel!

Hundreds of years before Jesus, the Jewish people were exiled into an unfamiliar land and placed under foreign rule. Out of hopelessness and despair, God used Daniel to remind them, and now us, to place our identity in God alone who reigns over and in every kingdom. Do not fear, but be courageous and live out the wisdom of Christ who is your solid rock.
‘In God we Trust’ is the statement put on our currency by our government. How far can you go with your trust in anything else.? In this message we hear of Daniels’ consistent and continued trust in the Lord by continuing his relationship with God through prayer, even in the light of trouble from leaders and new laws. How is your relationship with God.? Can you say that you trust Him for sure.? Come to Jesus and be certain of it....
Daniel was known as a man of prayer and it paid off. When those around him became jealous the only thing they could accuse him of was praying everyday to God. Praying led Daniel into the lions den but it also led him out alive and untouched. Listen as pastor Michael Barnes explains in this dramatic sermon on a situation in Daniels life and how it can help you also in your everyday life.
What are the habits in your life? We all have some from praying to smoking to running to watching a TV show? Some make me strong, ready physically, spiritually for the day. Others at best are useless and may be a bit harmful. We all have habits in these categories: useful, useless, harmful. It is really important to know what you got in the useful category and if they will sustain you in the crisis. Turn with me today to Daniel 6 as we open up to one of the favorite stories of the Bible.

Those who believe are always under God,s care, and those who don`t all face God`s wrath.
Prayer in the Den is not enough to survive the Lions! In our life it is much easier to plan or to work hard to execute something. But pre-prayer allows everything we undertake to be bathed in God’s power before we ever seek to bring it into being. Carve out the time for pre-prayer for every opportunity before you. You’ll be shocked at how many things fall into place without your efforts when you do.

Welcome back students! We are kicking off the semester at full speed as we begin a new series on living intentionally for God in order to change the world! This week we will be diving into the book of Daniel and learning of the miracles that God performed through him. As God used Daniel, He will use you too if you let Him. God has given all of us gifts that we are expected to use for His glory so He will be made known to all people. So the question is, are you using the gifts He gave you to live intentionally?
Will you live a life of conviction or compromise?
