God is faithful to protect us in our time of need. In this world, we will be put to a test by those who are against us. Daniel was large and in charge when he refused to go against his God, even though it meant imminent death in the jaws of lions. Daniel knew who his God was, therefore he believed and trusted in His sovereign plan for his life. By Kenny Guidry

God showed up in the lion's den. It was like the coming kingdom of God where the lion will lie down with the lamb. Where God reigns there is peace and safety and no more death, no more violence. Do you see in Daniel the foreshadowing of Jesus? Daniel foreshadows Jesus, despised and rejected for being good. For being God's true man. Shut in a cave. But then...! When hardship and trials come, will you be found faithful to God? Daniel was faced with the possibility of death because of his faith, and yet he remained faithful because he served a faithful God. Listen as Pastor Kyle goes through Daniel chapter 6 and unpacks a few ways in which Daniel faithfully trusted God, not only in the big moments but behind the scenes as well.--Sermon by Pastor Kyle Kaminski--New to Heritage? What does it look like to live faithfully in a chaotic world? In this message, we walk through Daniel 6 and 7, covering the story of Daniel in the lion's den and the vision that reveals God's plan for the future.Daniel was not a young man when he faced the lions. He was older and still faithful. Even under pressure, he refused to hide his relationship with God. His life shows us that faith is not meant to be private. It is meant to be lived out where others can see it.We also explore Daniel's vision in chapter 7, where kingdoms rise and fall, but one truth remains clear. God is still on the throne, His kingdom will never end, and everything points to Jesus.Key Takeaways:- Faithfulness matters- Your witness impacts others- God is in control even when the world feels chaotic- Following Jesus involves pressure, not comfort- Jesus is King and His kingdom will not be destroyedIf this message challenged or encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs it.If you are new, we would love to connect with you.

Faithfulness to God is often revealed in the quiet consistency of daily obedience. Pastor Ben Palka walks through Daniel 6, showing how Daniel's unwavering prayer life led him into the lions' den but also displayed the power and protection of God. Even when obedience brings opposition, the Lord proves Himself sovereign over every threat and authority. We are reminded to trust God boldly, knowing that He is able to deliver and worthy of our devotion no matter the outcome.

#christianity #protestant #reformationThere is a solitary, humble, wooden structure on a windswept hill in rural New England. To open the door is to engage our minds, our hearts, and our imaginations. In this place, preachers and professors, past and present, come alive as they walk the aisle, ascend the pulpit stairs, and teach…from theology, from history, and from the Word of God. Welcome to the Saybrook Meetinghouse, an audio production of Saybrook Ministries. Saybrook Ministries' vision is to inspire and invigorate Christians with imaginative and intellectual content.Saybrook Ministries' mission is to provide didactic and devotional content from the Christian faith delivered to the saints; recovered and refined by the Protestant Reformation.Saybrook Ministries' prayer is that our content will be (1) to Christians convinced of Reformation truths: encouraging & powerful; (2) to Christians unconvinced of Reformation truths: educational & persuasive; (3) to non-Christians: engaging & prophetic.Saybrook Ministries' four foundational scriptures are: The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times (Psalm 12:6). The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. And the wise among the people shall make many understand (Daniel 11:32b-33a). And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD have not forsaken those who seek you (Psalm 9:10). Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth (Hosea 6:3).
