As Christ gave his followers a new commandment, to love one another, Penny Tasi preaches about how this is not always easy, how we get it wrong, but just like Jesus' disciples, to love each other is to reflect the same love God has given to each of us through Christ.

This weekend we begin a new series called DIVIDED. We live in a divided world and it seems that we are being pulled further apart all the time. The good news is God has a plan to bring people together in a divided world. His plan is called the Church. Jesus started the church with a group of disciples who were not drawn to each other naturally. The early church became the most diverse group of people in the known world. The reason this could happen was the example of Jesus and the instructions found in the Bible. God's plan for harmony and peace in a divided world is real and it works. So how do we ensure that our church lives out this same dynamic? How do we ensure that we are Being The Church? We first learn and then follow the teachings in scripture on how to relate to each other. In this series we will examine the "One Another" passages in the Bible. These passages are full of instructions on the nature of our relationship to each other. They tell us how we are to support each other. We will also learn how we are to help each other grow and finally how together we can accomplish the mission Jesus gave us. This week we begin with the nature of our relationship. The Bible tells us that in the church we actually are so connected that we Belong to Each Other. Join us this weekend as we learn how to move from being Divided to being United. Jesus says that His disciples will be known by their love for one another.
We all long for connection, for relationships, for community. In fact, a need for community is built into the very nature of humans by God. And yet, in a world that promises connections and relationships aplenty, so many of us feel alone, lonely, and forgotten. Listen in as Pastor Sawyer dives into the vibrant community that God wants the church to be and how each of us can experience the connection we so desperately long for. In a world that has a hard time relating to each other well, as Christ-followers we are called to live with each other in harmony and love. This is easy in theory but a hard task in practice. In our latest sermon series, we will explore some of the "one-another" commands in Scripture. Our hope is that God will speak to you through His word and transform the way you see those around you.
In this sermon Pastor Keith explains how Jesus exemplified a life of perfect love for us and how He calls His disciples to follow his example by humbly & lovingly serving others.
