Series - An Exposition of Exodus pt 18 Text - Exodus 6:28-7:7 by Nick Neves, pastor | Midweek Service | 05.27.26
Pastor Colins Nwosu continued our teaching series with an engaging and interactive session titled The Lordship of Jesus, with insightful contributions from the congregation throughout the teaching. Reading from Romans 14:8–9 and Matthew 11:27, we established that whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord, because Christ died and rose again to be Lord of both the dead and the living. We learned that true lordship means absolute ownership. Acts 4:12 and Philippians 2:9–11 revealed that God has exalted Jesus above every name, establishing Him as the sole source of salvation before whom every knee must bow. Drawing from Luke 6:46–49, Pastor Colins further explained what it truly means to call Him “Lord.” Jesus asks, “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?” True lordship demands obedience, not merely lip service. We discovered that building our lives on His Word is like laying a foundation on solid rock that no storm can shake. The message also reminded us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light for those who fully surrender to Him. Pastor Colins will continue this teaching at our Holy Communion Service next Sunday, and you should not miss it for any reason. Join us in person or listen online. Confession: Lord Jesus, I declare that You are the absolute Lord over my life, my family, and my choices. I refuse to give You mere lip service; I choose to align my actions with Your instructions and build my life on the solid rock of Your Word. I rest in You, knowing that Your grace is my strength and my security. Amen!

Pastor Colins Nwosu continued our teaching series The Trinity of the Godhead, with today's focus centred on God The Father. Reading from 1 Corinthians 8:6 (AMPC) and Genesis 1:1, we established that all things originate from God and exist through His sovereign power and purpose. The teaching explored the nature and character of God the Father as Creator, Sustainer, and eternal ruler over all creation. From the very beginning in Genesis 1:1, we see God as the source of life, order, and existence, while Genesis 1:26 further revealed the divine counsel and unity within the Godhead during creation. Drawing from Exodus 3:14 and Exodus 20:5, we reflected on His self existent name, “I AM WHO I AM,” revealing a Father who is entirely self sufficient, yet deeply personal and protective of His relationship with us. Through Psalm 139:7–12, we marvelled at His omnipresence, realising that there is nowhere we can flee from His Spirit, as His dark nights shine as bright as the day to Him. The message concluded with a beautiful meditation on Exodus 34:6–7, reminding us that while He is a just Judge, our Father is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love. Pastor Colins encouraged us to deepen our reverence for God the Father, trust His nature completely, and grow in our understanding of His love, authority, and faithfulness. Confession: Lord, thank You for being my Father, Creator, and Sustainer. Help me to know You more deeply, trust You more completely, and walk daily in the confidence of Your love, mercy, and unfailing presence.

Pastor Colins Nwosu led the church in a deeply interactive session titled The Woman's Desire & The Man's Rule. The teaching and contributions explored God's original design for relationships, marriage, companionship, and responsibility before and after the fall of man. From Genesis 2:18, we were reminded that God created woman as a suitable helper and companion, establishing partnership and mutual purpose from the beginning. However, Genesis 3 revealed how sin distorted harmony, introducing struggle, tension, and conflict into relationships that were originally designed to reflect unity and order. The message also brought balance through Ephesians 5, emphasising that biblical leadership is not domination but sacrificial love, responsibility, and care. While wives are called to honour and respect their husbands, husbands are equally commanded to love, protect, nourish, and cherish their wives as Christ loves the Church. The session encouraged both men and women to understand God's design beyond culture, pride, or personal bias, and to build relationships rooted in love, honour, wisdom, and mutual submission to God's principles. Confession: Lord, help me to reflect Your wisdom, love, and purpose in every relationship. Teach me to walk in humility, honour, responsibility, and genuine care for others according to Your design

Travailing in prayer is a spiritual necessity for the work of ministry and that is the focus of this sermon. For the believer, prayer is not merely a religious activity, but it is a form of spiritual warfare requiring intensity, burden and perseverance to see prophecy fulfilled. There is work to be done and the bulk of the work is done in the place of prayer. Believers must labour in the place of prayer, not casually, but with burdens in our hearts. The work is in the place of prayer and if we win there, then we will win everywhere else. The sermon reminds us strongly that prayerlessness is dangerous. We are never without help, we have the Spirit who is our ever present help, especially in our weaknesses..
At our Interactive Midweek Service, Pastor Colins Nwosu shared on the subject God's Masterpiece. Reading from Ephesians 2:10, we were reminded that we are God's workmanship, intentionally created with purpose and designed for the good works He planned for us long ago. The message reinforced that our lives are not accidents or afterthoughts. God carefully crafted each person with divine intention, and because we are His masterpiece, we are valuable to Him and deeply cared for by Him. Drawing from Jeremiah 29:11, we were further reminded that God's thoughts toward us are good and filled with hope and purpose. The message also challenged us to live in a way that reflects the One who made us. From Acts 10:38 and Matthew 5:14–16, we saw that God created us not merely to exist, but to do good, shine as lights, and bring glory to Him through our actions. Galatians 6 and 1 Timothy 6 encouraged us not to grow weary in doing good, but to use our lives and resources meaningfully. Ultimately, as God's masterpiece we must understand that we were created for a purpose: to let our light shine through our actions so that others may see our good works and give God all the glory. Confession: Lord, I thank You for making me Your masterpiece. I am not an accident; I am Your handiwork, created for beauty and purpose. I receive the grace to be rich in good works and to shine my light brightly, so that through my life, You alone receive all the glory.

Scripture reminds believers that we are ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with a divine mission that extends beyond ourselves. This message presents evangelism not as an obligation, but as the natural outflow of a genuine encounter with Christ. It emphasizes that the call to share the gospel is not reserved for a few, but given to every believer.Evangelism is framed as disciple-making, rooted in the understanding that the harvest is supernatural and must be approached as such. The message highlights the role of prayer and dependence on God, showing that if we truly believe the gospel, it should be evident in our willingness to share it. Faith is not only confessed, it is expressed through action. It also brings clarity to the purpose of the power received through the Holy Spirit, not for performance, but for service, for strengthening the local church, and for witnessing. Kingdom impact, therefore, is not passive. It calls for intentional participation from every believer, with lives that reflect both the message of the gospel and the power by which it is carried.

Series: An Exposition of Exodus Text: Exodus 6:14-27 by Nick Neves, pastor | Midweek Service | 04.29.2
At our Interactive Midweek Service, Pastor Femi Paul brought us a corrective and stirring word titled Praise the Lord O' My Soul! Building on Sunday's message Count Your Blessings, he opened with Psalm 103:2 and expanding through Isaiah 55:2, we were reminded that counting our blessings is not merely a gratitude exercise, it is spiritual wisdom. From Numbers 11:1a, Pastor emphasised that complaining isn't just a bad habit; it displeases the Lord and stalls our progress. We learned that counting our blessings is actually a spiritual guard that protects our Counting our blessings guards the heart against grumbling and complaining, and keeps us qualified for what God is about to do next. We also saw how complaint can distort perspective, while thanksgiving preserves spiritual posture and keeps our heart open to God's next move. The core of the message was a deep dive into Philippians 4:8, where we were challenged to discipline our thoughts toward what is good, worthy of praise, and full of God's goodness. We were challenged to fill our minds with things to praise rather than things to curse, and to fasten our thoughts on the glorious works of God. As the congregation lifted the song Praise, the atmosphere reinforced the message that praise is not only a response to blessing but a posture that sustains joy, protects perspective, and aligns us with divine harmony. The charge was simple and profound: keep counting your blessings, keep praising God, and stay qualified for what He is about to do next. Confession: Lord, I choose praise over complaint and gratitude over grumbling. Guard my heart, align my thoughts, and keep me positioned for all You are about to do next.

This message establishes a foundational truth; faith is not a passive or abstract concept, but it is a functional daily delivery system for the believer. While grace provides, faith receives. For our faith to work, it must take what has been made available. It further explains that grace alone does not equal experience. Faith is real and tangible, it is also applicable. Faith must move from just knowing to doing. Faith is functional and is meant for everyday life. The message also highlights that faith begins with light, through revelation and understanding. The believer must first know what God has said by studying His Word before attempting to apply faith to any situation. As such, faith must be built intentionally in seasons of peace, not in moments of crisis, so that it can stand firm when it is needed. True faith grows from knowledge into expression, and ultimately into lived reality.

In this sermon, we explore how we can enforce the victory we have received in Christ Jesus. Pastor Olumide Benjamin-Whyss explains that even though God has said something, there is still a part for us to play to receive what He has made available. There is a process by which spiritual truth becomes lived experience. The promises of God are real, but there needs to be movement, obedience and even confrontation in some cases on our part. Knowledge is important because we can not enforce what we know nothing about.
Pastor Colins Nwosu brought us God's Word in a message titled The Cost of Salvation, reminding us that the gift of salvation came at an immeasurable price. Reading from John 3:16 and Matthew 26:39, we reflected on the depth of God's love in giving His Son and the surrender of Jesus in Gethsemane as He chose the Father's will over His own. Salvation was not cheap. It required sacrifice, obedience, and the ultimate offering of Christ's life so that humanity could be redeemed. Drawing also from Psalm 8:3 to 6 and Matthew 28:1 to 7, we were reminded that the resurrection is the victory that confirms the power of that sacrifice. Through Christ's death and resurrection, humanity was restored to honour and purpose. The message concluded with the encouragement from 1 Corinthians 15:58 to remain steadfast and committed in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labour in Him is never in vain because the price of our salvation has already secured the victory. Confession: Lord, help me never take the gift of salvation for granted. Let my life reflect gratitude, obedience, and unwavering commitment to Your purpose.
