Today on the Daily Nugget, Mike looks at the first five verses of Romans 9, where Paul pours out his deep love for his people, even though they have rejected God. This same sacrificial love is seen in Moses when he came down from the mountain and pleaded for Israel. The question for us is: do we carry that same kind of love for those around us who are far from God?

Could you name at least five people in your life right now who don’t know Christ? People you bump into at work, at Walmart, at school, in your neighborhood or at the coffee shop? If we could each name five people, then our church touches over 15,000 people every week. That is a huge opportunity to make an impact for Christ. But how do we relate to them? How do we engage the lost world around us? Church history has been filled with tension over this very issue. Some would argue that we should separate from the world and hole up in caves. Others would have us capitulate to the moral issues of our day to fit in and get along with the world around us. Some might want us to go back to Old Testament law and live completely by rules so that we would become irrelevant to culture. How should we relate to the non-believing world around us? As Paul has discussed how our relationship with Christ flows outward into our relationship with God, fellow members of the body of Christ and our enemies, he now gives us practical direction on how we relate to our neighbor. Make plans to join us for one of our many weekend worship opportunities today. Weekend worship is a Friday decision. Make the decision today to worship with the body of Christ. We all need Christ, and we all need each other. — Pastor Chad McDonald

Each one of us is worthy of deep and intentional relationships. Just look at the life of Jesus and His close circles of community. God's design is for us to be with people, but relationships are hard. The Perrys are joined by Toni Collier to talk about her new book, Don't Try This Alone: How to Build Deep Community When You Want to Hide from Your Pain. Toni and the Perrys talk about how past hurt and betrayal can cause us to avoid community, but God has always used other people to help us heal. We fulfill His law by loving His people, so it's time we get good at trusting others with our pain and sitting with them in theirs. This episode is an honest look at difficult relationships in all their paradoxical glory. It will touch anyone navigating complex family dynamics, caregiving, inner conflict, or the slow, radical return to self.Eva opens up about the intense push-pull dynamic with her mother—someone who is mentally ill, disabled, and fiercely challenging, yet also one of the people she loves most in the world. From the tropical beauty of Brazil to the ancestral weight of being back in Taiwan, Eva unpacks the spiritual and emotional reckoning of caretaking, resentment, cultural expectations, mortality, and what love actually asks of us.Kyley, ever the sorting hat of spiritual insight, helps organize the messy candy pile of emotion. Together, they navigate:- How resentment isn't your enemy, but your flashlight- The difference between love with a story vs. love without one- What it means to love yourself and someone else without abandoning either- How sacrifice can either be sovereign or soul-squelching- The unbearable tension between caregiving and freedom- Why boundaries can sometimes become cold walls- The danger of spiritual bypassing through over-intellectualizing pain- The terrifying (and freeing) question: What if their life isn't your responsibility?“My needs are generous”—the new mantra for every recovering codependent By the end, Eva has a mic-drop moment of realization: What if real love—capital L Love—is loving yourself without a story?Eva's instagram: @iamevaliaoBook a discovery call with EvaKyley's Instagram: @kyleycaldwellKyley's free mini-course

How do I love someone who has wronged me? In this powerful message from Pastor John Lindell, we look at how David chose mercy over revenge when given the opportunity to strike back at Saul—and how we are called to do the same. Our prayer is that you will experience the peace, joy, and victory that come when you lay down offense and trust God to be your vindicator.
