At the weekend I went to Totnes to undertake some work with Stelaria Media and Soundart Radio, about how community radio and university-based researchers can better support public engagement. I recorded some sounds from my journey, and had a chance to note some thoughts about the benefit of the community media approach to public engagement, [...]

Local is not parochial. If ever an example were needed you could do no better than to refer to The Post; sure it's a local magazine for local people, but the tight knit team who run this publication have the experience and know how that would thrive in an 'enterprise corporation'. Long live local where content reigns King! A How Production for Soundart Radio
Devil Woman Radio Show #1 - SoundArt Radio.
Looking for adventures on the 'other side' of the world without the air-miles? Take a trip from Totnes down the River Dart and you'll be transported to a place with new horizons. As Hal puts it: Beautiful river, big canoes... great fun. A How Production for Soundart Radio.

Rachel is an interior and product designer and……of course….my sister. Rachel runs Forster Inc (https://www.forsterinc.co.uk/), which is an architectural, interior, furniture and product design agency based in Shoreditch. She studied Interior design at Kingston University, spent some time in Paris working for the Conran Shop before returning to London to complete her MA in Interior design at The Royal College of Art in London. Rachel and I set up Forster inc in 1997 after she’s completed Ma and she’s been based in Shoreditch ever since and been responsible for the transformation of spaces helping big businesses, local brands and homeowners realise their vision and achieve their ideal spaces. In addition to Forster Inc, she runs SortedLondon (https://www.sortedlondon.com/0), a consultancy that helps clients organise and de-clutter their space and she’s been responsible for the design of the latest Hotbox (https://www.hotbox-storage.com/) products, storage solutions that help facilitate agile working in today’s modern workplace.  I spoke to Rachel in Hotbox’s London HQ. Yourworkspace (https://www.yourworkspace.com/) which showcases smart storage and smart workplace furniture from several like-minded suppliers. This week, I had the opportunity to talk to Joris Pekel, Community Coordinator for Cultural Heritage at Europeana. On top of talking about their wider work of making artworks and cultural piece from all over Europe accessible to the public online. During the interview, we also talked about the Europeana Sounds Conference 2016, their Policy Recommendations for improving online access to audio and audio-related heritage in Europe and their brand new page on Soundcloud. On a side note, White Market Podcast is becoming a fortnight event. Our slots on Soundart Radio and Spark Sunderland remain the same, though. The next episode will be online on December 18th and regular broadcasts can be expected every fortnight from that date onwards. LUKA$ – PCH (feat. If you can't find one and you'd like one, please contact us and if they are still available we'll send you one. The project grew out of a love for words and a love for Devon. If you have anything you'd like to add to the project, just go here. Wordquest Devon is a project of Aune Head Arts, Cyprus Well, Devon Libraries (Devon County Council), and the University of Exeter. It began life as a response to the 'questing' themes of the Cultural Olympiad, and still retains many of these playful and game-playing aspects. The project's live presence began in June 2011 and continues until September 2012.
