In this new Soundings Mindful Media Podcast, Dudley Evenson interviews musician Peter Ali. Peter discusses his life, his heritage, music, healing and the new upcoming album “On Wings of Spirt” with collaborator Dean Evenson & Scott Huckabay. We hope you enjoy this fascinating interview.
It's the start of the coverage for the NBA and Stanley Cup Finals, LOTS of Disney/ESPN sports media news and a special guest to talk Fox and The World Cup, too! It all happens with host T.J. Rives and the "LWOS Media Podcast!"T.J. has takes on the Giants Jaxson Dart controversy for introducing President Donald Trump at an event and why the double standards with politcs and sports have existed for the last 2-3 decades. He also has thoughts on CBS destroying it's "Late Show" brand and whether 60 minutes should be pre-empted for the biggest sports events on Sunday evenings? Then, there's more on the chase for "Lord Stanley's Cup" in hockey with Vegas and Carolina (not exactly major media market help) battling and the broadcasters, etc.The NBA Finals start up with San Antonio and the NY Knicks and the #1 media market appearing in the championship series for the first time since 1999 (when they played the Spurs, also). What can we expect from the audience numbers and what about the rare "muting" of Stephen A. "Solitaire" Smith during the NBA??Next up, hear from Fox Sports' Rob Stone on their upcoming coverage of the World Cup Soccer on their networks and platforms. T.J. and Rob go back some 30 years to local media in Tampa and tell some great stories about the World Cup in the USA in '94 and Rob has more on how he and Fox will be pulling off marathon coverage over the next 3 weeks or so.It's all part of the "LWOS Media Podcast" and make sure for more to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

What does it really mean and how does it historicially compare? Plus, the NY Knicks are waiting for their first Finals appearance in almost 30 years. That will help the interest/audience, too. We go over it all. And, the National Sports Emmy Awards were handed out in NYC Tuesday night. T.J. goes over some of the winners and his opinions on them. Then, we shift and talk some tremendous insight on calling major college baseball, as the voice of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from the ACC joins the pod, Colin Lacy. We're back as May continues to crank up with more on the world of sports media stories, news and audience info, etc. on the latest "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast!"Host T.J. Rives is back with his insight and takes and he's joined this week for an extended conversation with Joe Flint, media writer and insider for the Wall Street Journal, to go over several subjects. They talk the NFL schedule release last Thursday night and the massive amount of standalone games there are now for the league, especially not on Sundays. Joe has thoughts on the less and less impact of the 1 pm Eastern Sunday games, the slate of games that Amazon Prime got for Thursday night football and could Fox Sports eventually, be in some jeopardy to lose NFL games in a high stakes financial game with the streamers like Amazon, Netflix and Youtube? The guys also discuss legendary coach Bill Belichick trying to do some image rehab with interviews in the off season after his dismal year in college football at the University of North Carolina. Will it help, especially, when many in the media and pundant world want to pay him back for being anti-media as a coach. They also discuss the proposed new 24 team College Football Playoff and how things have escalated so quickly from 4 teams two years ago to making the playoff turn into the only thing that matters.T.J. also has throughts on some top announcers right now for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in hockey, which golf analyst was really, reallyl good at the PGA Championship coverage and what about the Indy 500 this weekend on Fox Sports, as well?Hear it all on the "LWOS Media Podcast' and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

A focused conversation could center on the making of his feature documentary Our Planet, The People, My Blood, unpacking how a two-person team executed a three-year, three-continent shoot, the logistics and safety lessons from being stranded in Australia and hospitalized in the U.S., and practical takeaways on indie production workflows, visual style choices under constraints, and translating cinematography for branded content audiences.#GlobalFilmmaking #TravelFilmmaking #FilmmakerLife #OnLocation #ShootLife #FilmJourney #Storytellers #RealStories #creativeprocess www.TomBenteyMediaPodcast.com
We're back off a weekend of NBA/Stanley Cup Playoffs and Wrestlemania + there's plenty of juicy stuff still in the Diana Russini/Mike Vrabel controversy and oh, it's the NFL Draft and coverage too! And, we go over it all on the "LWOS Media Podcast!"Host T.J. Rives is back with Tyler Jones of Roundtable Sports and the "Jones Report Show/Podcast" to go over it all. How much "co-habitating" will happen and what about dueling insiders on the networks Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport? We have takes on it all.The guys also talk the WWE and Wrestlemania and whether ESPN is ruining it for too commercialization of what was strictly a commercial free pay per view before? Is wrestling about to go through anoher "dip" in interest, ratings and therefore revenue? There's also conversation on the NBA and NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs underway and the drama and excitement. Plus, is the LIV Golf tour really going out of buisiness? What went wrong for over the last couple of years, when they had leverage? TJ and Tyler go over it.It's all part of the "LWOS Media Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

We're back on a brand new edition of our look at Sports Media's newsmakers, broadcasts, ratings and more from the weekend of Men's And Women's Basketball Final Four coverage, to a female NFL reporter and NFL coach getting TOO cozy in a swimming pool, etc. on the "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast!"Host T.J. Rives and guests Steve Carney of LWOS.com/media and Jason Powers of Press Box Radio and the "Powers on Sports Podcast" are back to go over it all. What about the UConn coach Geno Auriemma confrontation with South Carolina coach Dawn Staley post game at courtside on ESPN TV after the Final Four game that the Lady Gamecocks won? The guys go over the seemingly "kid gloves" Geno was treated with that night by all.Thenk some on the Men's tourney win by Michigan making Big Ten history for them and the conference. T.J. was in Indy for it all and Steve and Jason weigh on the coverage and broadcasts, including the Michigan "Fab Five" alternate broadcast on Tru TV Saturday.Next, the controvesy with NFL reporter Dianna Russini, who is now with the Athletic's coverage (formerly ESPN reporter) and her salacious photos in a bikini floating in a pool in Arizona on a float next to New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel at last week's owner's meetings. This is a BIG "no-no" for alledged journalists. The guys discuss the situation and is Russini done as a national media person, now? Then, some MLB talk/broadcast coverage takes from the guys with the season getting going, including the Tampa Bay Rays returning to their Hurricane Milton repaired home in St. Pete, FL, as Steve was there firsthand for coverage. And, finally some Masters conversations, as CBS/Paramount+ etc, get ready to cover golf's most prestigious event in Augusta, GA, this weekend. Lots of takes on the way to see the action and the 40th anniversary of Jack Nicklaus' stirring final round charge to win his 6th Green Jacket at 46 ytears old. The nostalgia will be flowing all week there and on the air. It's all part of the "LWOS Media Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!
