Pulse (Netflix, temporada 1) Como en tantas series similares, doctores, enfermeras, auxiliares, mezclan sus vidas con las de los pacientes que tienen que atender en el servicio de Urgencias. Descamisado: Un tal Colin Woodell, que interpreta a un médico al que su novia acusa de abuso en el trabajo. No se entiende nada de esa trama. Se acaba la temporada y ya lo han explicado, pero el público no lo pilla, a decir de las reseñas. Como nada tiene ni pies ni cabeza, no es de extrañar que a este muchacho le manchen de sangre, le vomiten los pacientes o le tiren el café los camilleros por encima con tal de que se tenga que cambiar de camiseta varias veces. Salvo que este detalle os haya interesado especialmente, no encuentro ninguna otra razón para verla. Lo mejor: Está por llegar Lo peor: No aguanta ni de lejos una comparativa con el peor de capítulo de The Pitt o Urgencias Tráiler Otro pequeño favor (Netflix, temporada 1) Esta es película de amor y lujo, que solo se puede ver en streaming. "Otro pequeño favor", es secuela de Un pequeño favor. Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) es una joven madre bloguera de una ciudad pequeña cuya mejor amiga, la sofisticada Emily (Blake Lively), desaparece un día repentinamente. Tras aquellos acontecimientos, se reúnen de nuevo en la hermosa isla de Capri para la extravagante boda de la segunda con un adinerado empresario italiano. Junto con los glamurosos invitados, el asesinato y la traición también han confirmado su asistencia. Es número 1 en streaming. Descamisado: Michele Morrone. El apellido ya lo dice todo. 34 años y una candidatura a los Razzie por su participación en la saga 365 días, un auténtico espanto sobre un heredero de la mafia que secuestra a una turista para que se enamore de él. Cientos de guardias, miles de horas, que apenas le dejan tiempo para su vida, todo con tal de convertirse en el mejor doctor. Lo que no se imagina es que en el hospital valenciano donde trabaja va a estallar una huelga total, sin servicios mínimos. Los sanitarios se ven obligados a ello para tratar de concienciar a la población sobre su trabajo esencial y para protestar por los recortes que está sufriendo la sanidad pública. Pero Biel y los demás residentes no saben si secundar esa huelga que puede tener consecuencias fatales para los pacientes. Y desde ese conflicto iremos conociendo a unos y otros en su día a día. ¿Quiénes son esos chicos jóvenes que se desviven en el hospital asumiendo una responsabilidad excesiva? Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that would risk it all for Linda Cardellini to paint us like one of her French girls.  This week, Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out to talk about why the 2018 crime comedy A Simple Favor Should've Been Gay(er). This movie is honestly a masterpiece. It stars Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), and queer icon Linda Cardellini. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this movie somehow, it follows the story of two moms, Stephanie and Emily, who meet at their kids' school and quickly become unlikely besties with benefits. When Emily suddenly goes missing after asking for ‘a simple favor', Stephanie leaps into action to unravel the mystery of her best friend's disappearance (but not without fucking Emily's husband, wearing all her clothes, and playing mommy to Emily's son). Every gay remembers where they were when they first saw Blake Lively kiss Anna Kendrick on the mouth after calling her baby approximately 69 times. Nothing is more frustrating than eating up 2 hours of chart-topping chemistry and glaringly obvious foreplay to then watch Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) and Emily (Blake Lively) betray one another in the end. Even with the disappointing ending, this is a movie we can't help loving wholeheartedly for being just so incredibly gay and bonkers unhinged. Emily is canonically bisexual from the jump, quick to tell Stephanie all about her hot painter ex (Linda Cardellini) and threesome with her husband's TA. After all, what straight woman has a life-size portrait of their full bush just hanging in the main room of their house for all to see? In addition to the dating and sexual experiences that she is absolutely not shy about, Emily exudes bisexual confidence from the second she appears on screen in slow-mo in the pouring rain wearing the hottest suit ever made. From the moment we watch Stephanie become a mess of gay panic in front of Emily, we are hooked on them as a couple. The two U-Haul faster than anything we've ever seen before; sharing martinis, secrets, husbands, houses and spit while loudly declaring themselves to be “best friends” after knowing one another for approximately 2 weeks. While Emily may be the most open about her queerness, there is no question in our minds about Stephanie's sexuality. This girl is down bad for Emily, oscillating between the classic “Do I want to be her or be with her” that many a sapphic can relate to. Sure, she sleeps with Emily's husband, but you cannot convince us that she actually cares about that man. Emily doesn't even care about that man. Emily, unlike Stephanie and her cheery demeanor, is cool and lives with an attitude. When she takes Stephanie into her world, Stephanie is amazed at how such a stylish person like Emily has befriended her. Shortly later, Emily disappears and Stephanie is dragged into something more than it may seem. If not A-listers, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are sure becoming some of the most sought after actresses out there. A SIMPLE FAVOR has received fantastic reviews. First up we review Crazy Rich Asians, this film started life as a hugely successful series of books written by Kevin Kwan, and has made the transition to film. Directed by Jon M. Chu, Crazy Rich Asians is the first western produced film in 25 years to contain a predominantly Asian heritage cast. The film follows the story of Rachel Chu, a Chinese- American economics professor, meeting her boyfriend Nicks’ family at a wedding in Singapore. Although they have been dating for a year Nick has omitted certain details of his family and heritage, namely that he is an heir to one of China’s richest families and that they are “Crazy Rich”.
