Continuing the story from 2018's "A Simple Favor," director Paul Feig and stars Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Andrew Rannells, and Henry Golding, all returned, along with new faces and a new setting in Capri Italy for the Amazon Prime Video release. And if you're already a Vanguardista, we salute you. The 50th anniversary re-release of ‘Slade in Flame' is making Mark very happy this week, and he'll be reviewing this “Citizen Kane of rock movies” at the top of the show to celebrate. Starring the real-life Black Country glam rockers as the fictional band Flame, it follows their rapid rise and fall via record company clashes that reveal the darker side of the music industry. Plus, new (and new-ish) releases ‘Thunderbolts*', the Marvel anti-hero ensemble starring Florence Pugh, and ‘Sinners'—Ryan Coogler's 1930s southern gothic tale of two twin brothers coming face to face with evil when they return to their Mississippi hometown in search of a new start. It came out while we were on our holibobs, so we're catching up this week with a full review and some top takes from those of you who have seen it already. ‘Another Simple Favor' is out this week too—and we've got director Paul Feig, also known for ‘Bridesmaids', ‘Spy' and, yes, the all-female Ghostbusters remake—on the show to talk Simon through it. A follow-up to the 2018 hit ‘A Simple Favor', it sees Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles in a genre-mashing comedy-mystery-crime-thriller, this time on the isle of Capri. Feig talks power dressing, breaking his no-sequels rule, and how that Blue Origin all-female space flight could definitely be straight out of one of his movies. Mark reviews it too—and we also hear plenty from you wonderful wittertainees, including your takes on Mark's ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith' review. Enjoy! In this heart-opening episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sana (filling in for Avik) sits down with author and retired school counselor Linda Feig Knipe to unpack the deep-rooted cultural and emotional patterns of people-pleasing—especially among women. Drawing from Linda's memoir Braving Therapy, the conversation explores the hidden costs of being the “good girl,” perfectionism, internalized shame, and the long journey to reclaiming authenticity through therapy. Linda shares her personal trauma story, how she buried pain to maintain appearances, and how real healing began only when she learned to speak her truth. About the Guest   Linda Feig Knipe is the author of Braving Therapy: Rape, Buried Trauma, and the Triumphant Journey Over PTSD. With over 20 years of experience as a professional school counselor, Linda now advocates for mental health awareness, especially around trauma and cultural expectations placed on women. A survivor herself, she shares her journey to empower others to break free from silence and perfectionism. Key Takeaways People-pleasing often stems from childhood praise for "good behavior" and suppressing one's own needs. Burying trauma to stay “perfect” leads to anxiety, self-criticism, and strained relationships. Healing starts with honesty—first with yourself, then with others. Therapy, especially with unconditional positive regard, is a safe space to rediscover your true self. Real strength lies in vulnerability and choosing healing over hiding. Last Christmas, we gave you a Christmas special, and this year we're doing the same because we're not very imaginative. This year, to save you from tears, we're doing Paul Feig's Wham-inspired romantic comedy Last Christmas. It was poorly received on its 2019 release, but as was generally the case with 2019 we didn't know how good we all had it. Now, it's settling in to become a Christmas favourite, with all the cheesy appeal of a Netflix or Hallmark movie filtered through two key talents - Feig and screenwriter Emma Thompson - who actually know what they're doing. Join Graham, Mark and show favourite Dexter (Mark's dog) as they discuss George Michael's legacy, the recent documentaries about him, the connection between the former Yugoslavia and the KLF, and how this film gets the most out of its often-miscast stars Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding. Plus appreciations of supporting player Ritu Arya and Jason Statham, the latter of whom isn't in this movie but I dunno, the conversation just went that way. If you want to help us audition for the big ice show, you can donate to our Patreon, where you'll get a bonus episode of this show every month - the next one comes out tomorrow, and it's about Santa Claus Conquers the Martians - plus weekly articles on The Twilight Zone, Red Dwarf and The X-Files and our end-of-month miscellany podcast Last Night..., which is gearing up for its own Christmas special. Whether he's directing a movie, cutting in the editing room, or grabbing a bite to eat, Paul Feig wears a suit. In his view, dressing well both helps him focus and create strong first impressions. But Feig's elegance is also a reflection of his highly detail-oriented nature. Behind the camera, Feig's acute perception and keen eye for comedy—his favorite genre—has led to hits like Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor (which has a sequel on the way), and the opportunity to direct television shows like The Office, Mad Men, and Freaks and Geeks, which he created. On this week's episode of Table for Two, the filmmaker joins host Bruce Bozzi and discusses his early years giving tours at Universal Studios Hollywood, what he loves about horror films, and why directing 2016's Ghostbusters convinced him to never work on a remake again. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Merge offers one API to integrate with all HR, payroll, directory, recruiting, accounting, ticketing, and CRM platforms. During his enterprise engineering days, Gil noticed a constant need for companies to integrate their software with other platforms via APIs, so he sought to solve that problem via a concept called unified APIs.
