Study Philippians 3:15-4:3 with us to consider what it means to be a citizen of Heaven in there here now.
Study Philippians 3:1-14 in which we are reminded to be wary of a common trap and to press on towards Christ. All too often, in the pursuit to follow Jesus we can lose sight of why we needed Him in the first place. When we first become Christians we accept Jesus' amazing Grace, but as we go through the hardships of life, our spiritual journey becomes encapsulated with self-righteousness and pride. In Philippians 3:1-14, Paul warns the church against falling into this trap. We need to forget the old ways in which we used to define our self worth and press forward in glorifying Jesus by accepting His grace.

On this podcast, Jonathan begins teaching on the last chapter of Philippians. In this part of the book, we learn of one of the main reasons Paul wrote this letter to the Philippians. This is followed by some practical advice about worry, anxiety, positive thinking, and how to deal with persecution. There is a lot we can learn from this passage, which is why it is often quoted a lot during counseling or in many different devotionals, which makes it even more important to know and understand the context surrounding it. I think any Christian will find this podcast helpful for themselves, helping other brothers and sisters, and sharing Christ with nonbelievers. Be sure to watch or listen to the rest of the Philippian lessons on the podcast! God bless!
This is the very last podcast on the letter of Philippians! We have journeyed through a lot of verses, passages and topics in this letter, and I think it has been greatly beneficial! In this section of the letter, Paul gives his closing thoughts to his fellow Christians in Philippi. In this portion, we learn about how to be content, how to handle finances (specifically tithing), paying a minister, sanctification, unity between the saints, and just how to trust God in our lives and with out lives. Be sure to go back and listen to all of the lessons on Philippians, so that you can be exhorted and encouraged in the Lord Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith!

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! Jonathan is continuing the online bible study of Philippians in 3:1-11 today. In this section, we move onto the issue and threat of the "dogs" and "evil workers" which are the Judaizers. They believed that you had to be circumcised to be saved. Paul thought this to be a drastic change to the Gospel message which says the only way to be righteous is to put our faith in Jesus Christ! There is no other way! In this passage, he challenges us by helping us sift through those who teach any form of works based salvation. In this study we will discuss and answer questions including: 1. What is the relationship and difference between Law and Gospel? 2. Is doctrine (a set of beliefs) important? 3. Can we just believe what we want? 4. What does it take to be saved? 5. What are the requirements for entry into Heaven? 6. Who are the Judaizers? 7. What does it mean to know Christ? 8. Do all religions lead to God?
