Randy Hill serves as a pastor, seeking to make a positive difference in the lives of other people. Randy also serves in denominational leadership. Through his years of pastoring, Randy has learned many lessons. Tracy and Chris enjoyed hearing Randy's story of growing up in church and seeing many miracles. Do we still believe in miracles? If so, why? If not, why? As a young child Randy traveled with his father who was leading revivals--his dad was also training Randy for ministry. Randy knew when he was young that the Lord had called him to preach. Even when he wasn't living as he should, he knew. Through the years he has learned many lessons of how to not do ministry. Like many people, he saw the hypocrisy. Like many people, he was looking for reasons to stay out of ministry. He worked for a ministry while trying to stay out of a preaching vocation. Through God's miracles and reminders, Randy said yes to the Lord. Listen to his reluctance and his obedience. Listen to his heart for God and people. Listen to the sadness of his wife passing away. Listen to hope amid the sadness. Learn what ministry can be like from Randy's perspective. https://www.gtchurch.net/staff/pastor-randy-bonnie-hill/https://www.facebook.com/jrandyhillministries
I had mutiple people ask me to have Victoria on my show. Sol being the smart person I did and it was epicA well-meaning teacher pulled me aside, trying to protect me from being disappointed… Today I use English daily to empower others on their path from pain to peace and purpose, and from poverty to prosperity.Hi, I am Victoria Rader, or simply Vica, I was born in Ukraine, and the Soviet Union did not make it easy or possible to leave the country. Yet the regime could not stop me nor my Ukrainian freedom seeking genes from dreaming, creating, pursuing, and ultimately proving that everything is possible.Through God's grace and guidance, I found it possible to travel the world and see over 40 countries. I found it possible to home-school my two children while becoming one of the top 1% real estate agents in the United States during the market crash of 2009. I found it possible to create YU2SHINE through struggles and triumphs of marriage, child-raising, business-building, tragic losses & moments of divine grace. It is all being made possible as I daily aspire to live through complete surrender to LOVE, Life Originating Vibrant Emotion (Energy-in-motion)."My favorite part of Quantum Freedom is the monthly program I'm in Business. It's helping me release unknown blocks and develop a higher understanding of who I am and how I want to show up in the world and serve more fully and I tell people all of the time to join us!""When I met Victoria Rader of YU2SHINE… I immediately felt a deep connection and a desire to get to know her better. The Everyone Communicates, Few Connect class group, confirmed my response. Victoria taught with clarity and understanding.""My experience with Vica has not only helped me to achieve my goals, but more importantly, it has enabled me to discover who I am and enjoy life more. Vica's guidance, support, and honest feedback taught me to embrace my unique approach to life and live in a way that truly brings me joy.""Vica is a warm, caring, charismatic teacher who loves what she does – one will come out of the class a better and much more improved individual! A true leader is someone who at the end of the day makes another person feel much better about themselves, and raises them up – that is true success!"yu2shine.com

Everyone has a story. In this episode, Coach Brown tells the story of how he was the orphan child. Through God's sovereignty, Coach Brown was placed in the home of Arthur and Pearl Brown. God has chosen who are going to be His and all we can say is thank you. We are a product of God's grace. Ephesians 1:5 says that "God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ." God is the hero and because of the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we now have a new life.

God's word fuels our spiritual growth in the same way food and water fuel our physical bodies. Psalm 119 describes God's word as a lamp at our feet that lights our path and gives us more understanding of how to live our lives. Without God's word, we wander through our days as if we are walking in the dark. Through God's word and the community we are blessed with, we can avoid the spiritual stagnation that comes with isolation. Are you allowing God to transform your life through scripture? Who can you be in community with to reap the benefits of the daily bread of scripture?
Life doesn't always go as planned. Circumstances come into our lives that we never saw coming: a job change, financial hardships, health challenges, or maybe the loss of a loved one. The list goes on. But in those moments of trials, testing, weariness, and grieving, how can we press on? Is it possible to persevere through everything life throws at us? In this series, we'll look at the biblical principles of how we can press on and endure through the many different difficulties we face in this life. Through God's teachings, we'll see that there is genuine hope when times feel hopeless, and we will learn that if we press on God's way, He will see us through every time.

Still, a sound Christian attitude consists in putting oneself confidently into the hands of Providence for whatever concerns the future and giving up all unhealthy curiosity about it. Improvidence, however, can constitute a lack of responsibility. All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone”

If you watch just about any movie where somebody dies, almost without exception, they end up going to some kind of “good place”. It's an almost universal assumption that we're all pretty nice people and we deserve a nice rest–in–peace. But today, Pastor Bill reminds us of the gospel: ONLY those who trust in Christ for salvation will spend eternity with Him. So, you have an opportunity in this life, that can have eternal consequences. Through God's Truth, you can rescue someone who's perishing.

The beautiful thing about the law is that it gives a glimpse of what God values. In it is love, justice, and peace. It leads us to a better relationship with God and one another. But we can't live it perfectly. What Romans shows us is that the law does something even more beautiful for us now. It shows us the gifts we are given in Christ. We are no longer held back by the law alone but empowered into growth by the Holy Spirit. Through God's work, we more naturally produce the Fruit of the Spirit.SHOW NOTES:- Dig Deeper - get the verse card and study questions here. -Go to the"Get Started" page for all the information on how to use this study-Join thousands of women to get the verse card and study questions!-Invite a friend-You can find more lessons on the blog-Print more cards fromthe shopHelping you love Jesus + disciple your kids on Instagram
Today's witnesses are from Matthew West's website, popwe.org. If you don't know who Matthew West is, he is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller. This website is for the non-profit that he has with his father, a pastor. Matthew and his father encourage people to share their stories. They have various categories of stories. Today, I chose a few testimonies from the Addictions and Deliverance Category. Often, we can hear our own story in someone else's story. When we listen to others tell their story, it helps us see that we are not alone. When we hear how God worked in their situation, it gives us hope that He will work in ours, too! I pray that when you hear these testimonies, you get the faith and hope to believe that miracles can happen in your situation, also. I pray you know that God is there with you, and if you invite Him into your situation, He can help. I hope you enjoy these testimonies.Jim: The story I have is 100% God!!! In the darkest days of my opiate addiction, I went to jail. Then, I received a three-year sentence. I had never been in trouble as a teenager or a young adult. At one point, I overdosed and if God had not put air in my lungs, I would have died. Nobody was around and nobody would have been there for days.God knows our hearts and I went to Greater Cleveland Teen Challenge and completed that phase. Then, I went on to Cape Girardeau Missouri where I completed an additional ten-month program.Jesus Christ set me free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol!Thank you, Lord, for your sovereignty and for calling me out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light!Thomas: For years I was struggling with what everyone else thought about me. I was also struggling with a bad pornography addiction. But then I moved to Florida and during the North Florida Youth Revival I got saved. But after that, for years I bounced between that line of doing what God wanted me to do, and I wanted to do. I realized that I needed to stay on the path of righteousness. Then God brought my amazing girlfriend into my life. With her help I was able to crush my addiction and live a happy life with her and God by my side. But I also want to share a message we all need to hear and that is, God's not dead.He is alive. Through God anything is possible. Now I know at times it's hard to see it. But trust me God will do everything He promised us in time. We just have to be patient. God will do everything through his Son Jesus.Jennifer: I wanted to share some of my testimony, since Matthew's music has been a crucial part of my story. I met his father 3 years ago in Dallas and told him how much Matthew's song “Strong Enough” had an impact on my life. In November 2013, I was facing my 3rd DWI and time in prison. I constantly had this song playing because I didn't know what God had in his plans for me, but I didn't think I could handle prison. I would cry, work out, and praise God while listening to this song. I shouldn't even be alive with all the abuse I put my body through. But here I am, praising God through it.My attorney told me I was looking at 6-9 months prison time, and I had my 2 year-old son at home. I finally submitted to the Lord. While driving home from the attorney's office, I told God that if his plan was prison, then “Ok.” I completely submitted for the first time ever. Within 10 minutes of being home, my attorney called me and told me that he's not sure how, but the district attorney called him and said, he'd give me drug court, which meant tons of counseling and self work, but no prison time!!! I know now, that was GOD stepping in!!!This was the start of me changing EVERYTHING! I was able to become a sober mom, a sober wife, and a beacon of light for others who feel that darkness is all they can see. I started a blog and a website to help others and I now am over 6 years sober, with two sons and a wonderful marriage!!So many of Matthew's songs touch my heart as they talk about forgiveness, grace, and our amazing God, who saves us no matter what. Even when we feel like we are lost, He doesn't feel that way.Matthew, this is only a very, very small portion of my story, but I wanted to share how much of an impact you and your songs have made in my life. Thank you for expressing my heart and my words in all of your music. Now I can share your songs with my sons and they can feel the Lord through them as well. Thank you for sharing your heart and God's spirit in all you do.Brandy: My God moment was over 17 years ago. It started with a bad drug addiction my husband had to cocaine. He was so hooked that when he would finally come home, it was with no money left from his paycheck, and with people he owed money to knocking on our door. He had bad asthma, so when doing the drugs, many times he would have an asthma attack, until one day it was much worse. We had no house phone or cell phone, so I would have to go across the road to my neighbor's house to use a phone. This particular time he was having trouble breathing. He tried using the breathing machine, but he noticed it wasn't working. He said “call 911.” We had 3 little kids asleep at the time, so I took our littlest one with me across the road, beating on our neighbor's door. When I got back to my house, I saw my husband lying on our kitchen floor with the breathing machine still hooked to his face. His bowels had moved, he had vomited on the floor, and his lips were blue. “Scared” is an understatement, but I knew I had to push through the tears and pray for the Lord to help him. God stepped in and saved his life. The drug problem wasn't gone. Once again we would face this same situation. When the ambulance got to our house, they told my husband “if it wasn't for your wife standing out on the porch flagging us down, you probably wouldn't have made it.” I take no credit. I've always told him, and will continue to say it was God and God only. I wish I could say that was enough to get his attention, but it didn't. He just got better at hiding it.Part of our story is adultery, leaving, coming back, then making the decision not to leave again. I decided to trust God, and to fight for my marriage and deliverance for my husband. I started praying over him, sometimes when he was sleeping. I wasn't going to give up on something I knew God could do. It didn't come easy, but little by little he was set free from all drugs. In the process, God not only delivered him from drugs, but he also healed our marriage.Fast forward – we are in church, serving the Lord. Over the years, God has used what brought so much hurt and pain to encourage and show others that if God can heal, restore, and deliver us, He can do it for them as well.Thank you all for sharing your stories. I am sure your story is going to help others know that they are not alone and that wherever they are right now, that doesn't have to be their ending. www.findingtruenorthcoaching.comCLICK HERE TO DONATECLICK HERE to sign up for Mentoring CLICK HERE to sign up for Daily "Word from the Lord" emailsCLICK HERE to sign up for my newsletter & receive a free audio training about inviting Jesus into your daily lifeCLICK HERE to buy my book Total Trust in God's Safe Embrace
Daily Dose of Hope February 18, 2025 Day 3 of Week 47 Scripture: Haggai, Zechariah 1, Psalm 138, 1 John 2 Welcome back, everyone, to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the Bible reading plan for New Hope Church in Brandon, Florida. We have a lot of Scripture for today so let's get started. The book of Haggai has two chapters. It takes place around 520BC, seventy years after the exile. After Persia conquered the Babylonians, the Jewish people were allowed to return to Jerusalem to try to rebuild their lives. We read about this in the book of Ezra. Things seem like they are getting better, but maybe not so much. Haggai, the prophet, has some words from God to the people. First, he accuses the people of caring more about building their own homes and providing for their own well-being than about rebuilding the Temple. Afterall, the Temple is still in ruins. It's for this reason that God has allowed them to continue to struggle with famine and unproductive lands. The people hear Haggai and are compelled to start the rebuilding of the Temple. In chapter two, we find the people are discouraged. The new Temple doesn't look anything like the splendid old one (this was in yesterday's reading as well). Haggai has to reinvigorate the people by reminding them of God's promise. This will eventually be the place of the New Jerusalem and the establishment of God's future Kingdom. But then there is this discussion of purity laws and while it seems somewhat confusing, Haggai is making a point. When the Jews touch a dead body (unclean of course) and then touch food, that food becomes unclean. Likewise, when these people work on the Temple in a state of bitterness and apathy, that also becomes contaminated. God wants his people to be faithful and repentant. That is the only way God will keep up his end of the deal. Similar to the covenant before them, their faithfulness and obedience will lead to blessings. Of course, the opposite is also true and they need to remember that. From there, we head to the book of Zechariah, the first chapter. Zechariah is also a prophet and priest, and was a contemporary of Haggai. Through God, Zechariah gives a warning to the people. Don't be like your fathers who disobeyed God. Remember what happened to them? The people seem to respond well to this. They repent and humble themselves (or seem to do so). And then, later in the chapter, Zechariah begins to have dreams through which God communicates to the prophet. These dreams will last through the next several chapters. They are kind of weird, as dreams tend to be. In this first vision, there are several horsemen declaring that the world is at peace. The Kingdom of Persia has made sure this is so, but it is really God's hand. The second vision includes horns (remember that horns often represent Kingdoms.) These horns represent Assyria and Babylon who conquered Israel. But now they are also conquered and scattered, as Persia is the dominant Kingdom. More on the dreams tomorrow...I'm hoping we will begin to put some of these things together so they make more sense. Let's move on to our New Testament reading, 1 John 2. John continues his letter in this chapter, focusing on what it means for believers to walk closely with God. We find John telling the readers not to love the world or anything in the world AND if they do love the world, it's an indication that God is not in them. Those seem like some harsh words. Let's unpack this a bit. What does John mean by the world? Surely, he is not referring to the world as a whole. Afterall, there are many wonderful things in the world that God created. Rather, John is using the term to refer to desires of the flesh (which are exactly what you are thinking), desires of the eyes (anything one sees and wants/covets), and things that activate our pride. These three elements are all self-focused rather than God-focused. They are all activities that lead us away from God rather than toward God. In addition, these all lead to words and behaviors that provide a terrible witness for the faith. John closes these verses by stating that worldliness will pass away but God is eternal. This world, certainly our lives, are all temporal. But God is eternal. Thus, we must prioritize accordingly. Blessings, Pastor Vicki
