Is the belief that we're all separate from each other actually the root cause of everything going wrong in the world right now? Not metaphorically. Literally. That's the question Steve Farrell has spent 23 years...and one very dramatic exit from Silicon Valley...trying to answer.Steve co-founded Humanity's Team in 2003 alongside Conversations with God author Neale Donald Walsch. Today the organization spans 70 countries, 700,000 members, and a streaming platform housing over 300 masterclasses from some of the most respected voices in consciousness, science, and spiritual development. His latest initiative carries a deadline: make conscious living the planetary norm by 2040. He's not kidding. What we get into:Why Einstein called the sense of separation "a kind of prison", over a hundred years ago, and why the science has only gotten more uncomfortable sinceThe specific moment Steve told his wife he might never earn another paycheck, and what she said backWhat walking away from rooms that included Gavin Newsom and Apple's marketing genius actually costs you socially, and how those conversations wentHow Steve got out of the market a full year before the 2008 crash, and what that story reveals about the practical dimension of spiritual guidanceThe 2040 tipping point: what "pervasive worldwide" actually means as a measurable condition, and why 800 million people is the number that mattersThe three-minute practice anyone can start today...no background required, no belief requiredSpiritual bypassing vs. sacred activism: how Humanity's Team draws a hard line between feeling good and doing the workWhat it actually feels like to join a global oneness movement when your whole life has been a solo spiritual practiceSteve Farrell isn't here to sell you on a belief system. He's here to make the case that the crisis of separation isn't just a spiritual problem; it's a structural one. And that the solution has been sitting in the overlap between mystical tradition and quantum physics for longer than most of us have been paying attention.Whether you're all in, just starting, or firmly in the "this sounds interesting but show me the evidence" camp, this episode meets you where you are.Listen, then go outside for three minutes. In this episode of Compared to Who?, Heather Creekmore welcomes Morgan Krueger to discuss the idea of living for something greater than ourselves, particularly through a Christ-centered lens. Morgan Krueger shares her personal journey from seeking the approval of others and wrestling with identity, to finding freedom in magnifying the Lord above all else—even during seasons of major life transition, including job changes, moving, and motherhood 00:53-03:16. Together, Heather Creekmore and Morgan Krueger explore themes such as the fear of man, the dangers of self-focus, and the liberating practice of self-forgetfulness inspired by Tim Keller's The Freedom of Self Forgetfulness 05:06-06:50. They discuss biblical stories, like Mary and Martha, and the difference between Christ's invitation to "come" and his command to "go," emphasizing the importance of being with Jesus before doing for Jesus 09:33-10:13. The conversation then delves into the tension Christian women feel between cultural pressures to be busy and productive and the biblical call to rest and trust 10:13-11:16. They candidly address the traps of shame and pride, the relentless pull to center life on self-glorification, and the continual invitation from Jesus to return, receive grace, and reorient towards Him 15:20-18:14. Heather Creekmore and Morgan Krueger highlight that our deepest issues with identity, approval, and body image are not just shaped by culture but by the condition of our hearts, and that true rest and purpose are found in magnifying God's name, not our own 24:29-26:03. Morgan Krueger introduces her new book, Made to Magnify: Choosing to Live for Jesus When Everything Tells You to Live for Yourself*, which explores these themes in greater depth and offers encouragement and practical guidance for women seeking to center their lives on Christ. The episode closes with information on how listeners can connect with Morgan Krueger and a reminder to focus less on comparison and more on living in the beautiful invitation to follow Jesus. *Amazon affiliate link. Are you growing spiritually—or stuck in the same place? In this powerful episode, Pastors Nicole McKay and Vanessa Trinidad reveal a missing key to spiritual growth that many Christians overlook: proximity to the right people.Through biblical examples like Joshua and Moses, Elisha and Elijah, and Ruth and Naomi, you'll discover how spiritual impartation is often caught—not just taught. This message breaks down what true discipleship looks like, what it is NOT, and how alignment, honor, and intentional closeness can accelerate your walk with God.If you've been praying for growth but not seeing change, this teaching will challenge and equip you with practical, biblical steps to move forward.Topics covered:Spiritual growth and discipleshipBiblical mentorship and impartationWhy proximity matters in your walk with GodHow to receive from spiritual leadersWhat the Bible says about becoming who you're around

MY Devotional: Daily Encouragement from Leading The Way

Why do we pray—really? In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reminds us that the ultimate purpose of prayer is not self-fulfillment but the glory of God. Jesus Himself said He answers prayer “so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). And even when God meets our needs, the goal remains the same: His Name honored and His goodness displayed. Dr. Youssef also tackles two common extremes believers fall into: Fatalism: “Prayer doesn't matter—God will do what He will do,” Manipulation: “Prayer makes God act like He wouldn't otherwise.” Scripture, he explains, teaches a better way: God is fully sovereign, and yet within His sovereignty He truly responds when His people pray with the right focus. That's why we must avoid two unhealthy attitudes—being afraid to ask God for anything, or treating Him like a “bellhop” who exists to serve our agenda. Instead, Dr. Youssef points to our identity as God's children: we can ask boldly, but we trust the Father to give what is best—just as good parents do (Matthew 7:11). Mature prayer sounds like Jesus: “Not my will, but Yours be done.” If you want your prayer life to deepen, this episode will help you realign your requests with God's glory and grow in faith-filled dependence. Prayer: Father, thank You that You want to hear from Your children and that You glorify Yourself as You meet our needs. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Youssef's sermon Psalm 121: LISTEN NOW The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.

In this episode of DTWOL, we're diving deep into something every person experiences and needs… relationships. From family and friends to coworkers and neighbors, relationships shape how we think, speak, and live. But what if the condition of our relationships is revealing something deeper?Through personal testimony and the truth of God's Word, this episode uncovers the difference between knowing about Jesus… and having a relationship with Him. Because while many claim knowledge, Scripture reminds us that knowledge alone is not enough—love is the evidence. As we explore how sin can fracture relationships and how love restores them, we are brought back to the source of it all. The only true God has not only created us for relationship—but commands us to love one another in and through our relationships.“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” — John 13:35 (NASB1995)So, the question is…Do you have a relationship with Jesus… or just knowledge?God's Word: Matthew 22:37–38; 1 John 4:8; John 13:35; Romans 5:5; Romans 13:10;Additional Scripture references are woven throughout the Godcast and can be gleaned from the full transcript. Who you spend the most time with is shaping your thoughts, your habits, and ultimately your future. Many people feel stuck, spiritually drained, or pulled back into old patterns—and don't realize their environment is the reason. The Bible teaches that real growth doesn't just come from what you believe, but who you're surrounded by. This message shows how choosing the right relationships can unlock your growth, protect your purpose, and change your direction. In this sermon, Pastor Travis Hearn of Impact Church teaches how your circle, environment, and alignment directly impact your spiritual life and future. In this sermon, you'll learn: Why your current circle may be limiting your growth How the wrong relationships slowly pull you away from God What “bad company corrupts good character” really means How to choose people who strengthen your faith Why alignment matters more than intention The people around you aren't neutral—they're shaping you. Some relationships push you toward purpose, while others quietly pull you away from it. The difference between growth and stagnation may not be your effort… it may be your environment.

This lecture examines traditional interpretations, biblical contexts, and theological insights to shed light on this often-misunderstood passage. Discover how suffering and weakness can lead to a deeper reliance on God's grace and strength. One common objection to the claim that it is God's will to heal His people is Paul's THORN in the FLESH. Many say that it was a sickness that God gave Paul to keep him humble, and that when Paul asked to be healed God said 'No.' In this video, Derek proves that this interpretation is wrong. The key questions are: (1) what is Paul's Thorn?, and (2) where did it come from - from God or the devil? The answers are made clear in God's Word. We also explore the significance of God's answer to Paul: "“My GRACE is sufficient for you, for My STRENGTH is made perfect in WEAKNESS.”

While looking around her home at the plants she's lovingly placed in carefully chosen pots, Candace has a realization—she doesn't actually want them to grow. Because growth means change. It means needing a bigger container and more space. In this episode, she reflects on how this mirrors our own lives. So often, we place ourselves in comfortable containers—identities, routines, or environments that once fit—but as we grow, those same spaces can begin to feel restrictive. Our roots want to go deeper. Our branches want to expand. But if we don't give ourselves the space, we can unintentionally hold ourselves back from thriving. This episode is a gentle invitation to notice where you may have outgrown your own “pot”… and to give yourself permission to expand into something bigger.

What does it look like to live fully surrendered to God — not just once, but day after day, season after season? In this conversation, Shelley Giglio sits down with Priscilla Shirer – wife, mother, author, and speaker – to reflect on the powerful move of God they're seeing in this generation, especially through gatherings like Passion, where tens of thousands of young adults are showing up hungry for the Word of God, not just motivation. Priscilla shares how she has spoken identity-shaping declarations over her sons for years and how that same truth now calls a wider generation to live like who God says they are. They talk honestly about surrender: laying down comfort, preferences, and even good opportunities when God says “go” or “stay.” Priscilla tells the story of filming War Room and being willing to lay acting down to honor her marriage and family, and together she and Shelley unpack the danger of confusing ministry with platform in a social-media age. From five unseen years discipling a handful of college girls, to the story behind The Jesus Bible, to a powerful reminder that maybe we don't need more clarity but more courage, this episode invites us to see every ordinary moment as ministry and to trust that God is forming us — even when no one is watching. Many of us go about our daily lives unaware that from the moment we wake up until we go to sleep, we are engaged in spiritual warfare. There is a battle being fought for our very souls. This may sound extreme, but if we examine our thoughts, words, and actions, we can see how our values are constantly being undermined. Throughout our day, we gather all sorts of useless and harmful thoughts which we later struggle to get rid of, for they become deeply rooted in us. Thus, we constantly struggle with sinister thoughts, and cannot think clearly.Habit builds character; we become what we repeatedly do. The attention we give to bad thoughts begins to shape our words and deeds; these, in turn, reinforce those same thoughts, forming a vicious cycle that tightens around us like a cobra constricting its prey. It becomes increasingly difficult to break free from its grip. "All spiritual life is based on thoughts. Progress in spiritual life depends on our thoughts… The best enterprise is for someone to establish a factory of good thoughts. Then, even bad thoughts will be transformed into good ones by his mind. For example, when you look upon a person as a soul, as an angel, you can ascend angelically to heaven and your life becomes a festival. But if you look upon a person in a carnal way, you descend into hell" (St. Paisios the Athonite, Spiritual Counsels, Volume III: Spiritual Struggle). We must learn to guard our minds in order to break destructive patterns, and fight back through prayer, discipline, and spiritual discernment. True change does not begin with actions, it begins with your thoughts.

MY Devotional: Daily Encouragement from Leading The Way

What makes “the prayer of a righteous person” so effective? Dr. Michael Youssef points to Daniel's plea in Daniel 9:4–19 as a clear model for believers today—and then highlights the key components you can practice immediately. First, start with praise. Daniel doesn't rush into requests; he begins by magnifying God as “great and awesome,” faithful to His covenant of love (Daniel 9:4). Prayer isn't merely a tool to get what we want—it's fellowship with God, cultivating an intimate relationship through adoration and thanksgiving. Second, confess your sins. Daniel doesn't minimize Israel's guilt or make excuses. He owns it plainly: “we have sinned and done wrong… we have turned away” (Daniel 9:5). Dr. Youssef reminds us that honest confession isn't self-condemnation—it's God's pathway to restore us to the fullness of right relationship with Him. If you've felt stuck in prayer, distracted, or discouraged, this devotional will help you reset your approach: praise God for who He is, confess what He reveals, and pray from a heart that longs to be aligned with Him. Prayer: God, I want to praise You today for Your love and for the gift of salvation. Thank You for giving us Your Word to provide examples like Daniel for us to follow. Forgive my sins, my Redeemer. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. Scripture Focus: “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!” (Psalm 18:46). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Outline  Holy Spirit as the Foundation of Spiritual Rebirth Jesus's words in John 3:5-6 establish that being born of the Spirit is a prerequisite for entering the kingdom of God. Distinction is drawn between the flesh and the Spirit, emphasizing that life in Christ is defined by the capital-S Spirit of God, singular in nature and character. This rebirth concept positions the Holy Spirit not as one among many spirits, but as the specific and exclusive Spirit of God, forming the foundation of Christian life. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Its Meaning Acts 1:3-8 is presented to illustrate Jesus's promise that his followers would be baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive power. The word "baptized" is defined as meaning to immerse or to make fully wet, painting a picture of total immersion in the Spirit of God. This immersive relationship with the Holy Spirit is described as something that is simultaneously upon believers, close to them, and dwelling within them. Understanding God as immersive rather than distant reframes the believer's relational perspective toward one of proximity and presence. The Human Need to Be Filled and Covered by the Holy Spirit A vacuum or emptiness experienced before receiving the Holy Spirit is identified as a universal human need. Biblical images such as Joseph's coat of many colors and the prodigal son receiving a robe and ring are used to illustrate the human need to be covered and filled by God. Feeling perpetually vulnerable or unsafe is addressed by encouraging believers to seek baptism in the Holy Spirit and find refuge in God as a strong tower. God's presence is described as constant and unchanging, with the only variable being the believer's conscious awareness of that presence. Corporate worship is presented as a deliberate practice of fixing one's eyes on God and becoming consciously aware of His already-present Spirit. The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit and Its Transformative Power Romans 8:9-11 is cited to establish that the Spirit of God dwells within believers, carrying significant implications for their identity and transformation. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is described as living inside those who have received the Holy Spirit, making spiritual transformation possible. Areas of depression, anxiety, and emotional deadness are identified as places where the Holy Spirit actively ministers, bringing freedom and deliverance. Sanctification is framed as an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, with the believer's role being to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus as the author and perfecter of faith. Fruits of the Spirit are described as arising from residing in and beholding God, rather than from personal effort alone. The Body as a Temple of the Holy Spirit First Corinthians 6:15-20 is referenced to establish that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, bought with a price and belonging to God. Sexual immorality is specifically addressed as a sin against one's own body and an incompatible presence within a temple that hosts the Holy Spirit. Hosting the Holy Spirit is likened to inviting Jesus into the temple, who then overturns tables of idolatry, impurity, and transactional relationship. Holiness is described as an active process, with the Holy Spirit creating purity within the believer as a natural consequence of His indwelling. A choice is presented between allowing the Lord to drive out compromise or allowing compromise to drive out the Lord, with the two being unable to coexist. Grieving the Holy Spirit and Maintaining Sensitivity Ephesians 4:30 is cited to explain that sinful actions grieve the Holy Spirit, who has sealed believers for the day of redemption. Acting according to human nature while the Holy Spirit dwells within creates a relational rupture, described as making one's great roommate sad. Denial of the Holy Spirit's conviction is warned against as a dangerous path that leads to spiritual callousness and diminished sensitivity. Maintaining high sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is presented as essential for continued repentance and growth in holiness. Leaning not on one's own understanding but acknowledging God in all ways is encouraged as the posture for walking in step with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit as Teacher and Guide John 14:26 is presented to describe the Holy Spirit as a helper and teacher who brings to remembrance all that Jesus has said. Believers are encouraged to bring their questions and uncertainties to the Holy Spirit first, before seeking answers from other people. Building a habit of inquiring of the Holy Spirit and searching Scripture is described as developing personal faith rather than codependent faith. First Corinthians 2:9-14 is cited to explain that the Spirit of God searches the deep things of God and imparts spiritual truths that the natural person cannot understand. Receiving the Spirit of God is described as enabling believers to understand the things freely given by God, interpreted spiritually rather than through human wisdom. The Holy Spirit Leading Believers Through Trials The Holy Spirit is described as actively leading believers into difficult situations and trials as part of their journey toward the promised land. Israel's path through Egypt, the desert, and the giants of the promised land is used as a parallel for the trials the Holy Spirit guides believers through. Trials are reframed as purposeful, with the Holy Spirit using them to generate inner transformation and deepen the believer's experience of God's peace. Peace that surpasses understanding is described as a currency not dependent on external circumstances but on the God who lives within. Fixing one's eyes on Jesus during storms is presented as the primary response to fear and anxiety, with the act of beholding Him producing transformation. Beholding God and the Practice of His Presence Second Corinthians 3:16-18 is cited to show that beholding the glory of the Lord transforms believers into the same image, from one degree of glory to another. Worship is described as a conscious and present effort to shift attention and focus onto God, contending until one locks eyes with Jesus. A practical method of practicing God's presence is described as pausing during Bible reading whenever the Spirit is discerned, closing one's eyes, and meditating on the encounter. Being still and knowing God is presented as a discipline of focusing on what already is, rather than creating God's presence. Taking every thought captive is encouraged as the means of returning to focus when the mind wanders during times of seeking God's presence. Prayer for the Infilling and Baptism of the Holy Spirit A corporate prayer is offered for every person present to be filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit, with an invitation to place a hand on the heart as an act of reception. Specific prayers are made for those with father wounds, asking the Holy Spirit to fill them with a spirit of adoption and cast out the spirit of slavery and fear. Individuals struggling with anxiety disorders are prayed over, with the perfect love of God declared as the force that casts out fear and visits places of abandonment, rejection, and trauma. Marriages are specifically prayed over, asking the Holy Spirit to baptize husbands and wives, soften hard hearts, and minister to contempt, disappointment, and woundedness. Freedom is described not merely as the casting out of negative things but as being filled with the Holy Spirit, with Jesus's warning about empty spaces being refilled sevenfold used to underscore the importance of infilling.
