Sara Barrie, an award-winning executive coach, consultant, and leadership expert, and a Master Certified Coach with the ICF, and Jeanine Bailey ICF MCC, Co-founder of Empower World, share how transformational moments for clients create true fulfillment for coaches, whether we coach professionally or use these skills in all areas of our lives. In this episode of the FoundHer Series, host Carrie Scollon sits down with author Elaine de Rooy to explore the story behind her heartfelt chapter in Beautiful Chaos: Embracing the Unexpected. Elaine shares her deeply personal journey of love, loss, and resilience after a health crisis and eventual passing of her husband after 5 tough years—leaving her to navigate life with their two teenage sons. A planner by nature, Elaine opens up about how her sense of order was upended and how, paradoxically, planning became her tool for moving forward—through medical decisions, parenting, grief, and even rediscovering joy. From balancing hope with hard conversations to the healing power of community and belly dancing (yes, really!), Elaine's story reminds us that even in the most uncertain times, connection and courage can light the way. You'll get a beautiful peek into the relationship that shaped her, the grief that followed, and the surprising turn of events that led her not only to healing—but to love again. If you've ever faced the unthinkable, or wondered how to support someone who has, this conversation offers both practical wisdom and soulful inspiration.

The fertility journey can feel overwhelming, but finding moments of passion, purpose, and joy along the way can make all the difference. In this episode of Fertility Village Live, hosts Caley and Sarah sit down with Elizabeth Carr, the first IVF baby born in the United States, for a fascinating conversation about her unique experience and passion for fertility advocacy. Elizabeth shares what it was like growing up as a pioneer of reproductive technology, how her story shaped her mission to support others on their fertility journeys, and her thoughts on the Netflix film Joy, which tells the story of the first successful IVF procedure.Together, they explore how far fertility treatments have come, the challenges that still exist, and the importance of community and support along the way. They also discuss critical topics like the lack of global fertility regulation, the need for better insurance coverage, and how patients can advocate for themselves in an ever-evolving reproductive health landscape. It's an insightful and inspiring conversation about the past, present, and future of IVF—and a reminder that no one should have to navigate infertility alone.✨ Tune in live on Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram @OasisFSN @fertility__village and visit us at oasisfsn.com for more resources. Ambivalence is a great word to describe having mixed or contradictory feelings about the same thing. And these days, ambivalence is fairly common. There are things worth celebrating that stand alongside stark reminders that not everything is as it's supposed to be. So, what do we do with those feelings? Psalm 122 gives God's people a clear picture of how to express those feelings and how to act on them.

EPISODE 63 In today's episode, I'm sharing my top tips on how to find joy in the journey. Many times we think something will magically change once we reach our destination. "After I lose five pounds, I'll feel more confident." "Once I get this promotion or finish this big project, I'll have time for myself." But, will we? Does something actually change in that moment where we can finally relax or does something else just become the focus? In my experience, life does not wait for us to reach some magical moment. Instead, it's about learning to enjoy and appreciate the journey rather than just aiming for the finish line. This week, I challenge you to take two to five minutes every day to sit with your own thoughts. Take time to think about what you are grateful for, what went well, what was challenging, etc. Then take time to pray, journal, meditate, or talk to someone. Connecting with yourself will truly change how you experience life. This episode is for you if:You think you will be happy once you finally reach your goalYou are looking for tips on how to find joy in the journey of lifeYou are ready to be intentional with connecting with yourselfYou are strong. In this episode of The Tour Life, we sit down with Rich Jones, a Chicago-based MC known for his collaborations with Taylor Bennett, the Allies, and more. Rich shares stories from his music career, including how he was voted the second-best rapper in Chicago by the Chicago Reader in 2016, right behind Chance the Rapper. We dive into his creative process, life on the road, and the organic way he's built strong relationships within the music industry. We talk about the ups and downs of touring, including solo touring for the first time, navigating unexpected challenges, and the emotional rollercoaster of live performances. Rich opens up about learning to cultivate friendships and networks, and how they've helped him both personally and professionally, from saving on lodging to filling venues. He also reflects on the growth he's experienced as both an artist and individual, emphasizing the importance of self-encouragement alongside constructive self-criticism. Whether you're in the music business or simply a fan, Rich's optimistic yet grounded outlook will inspire you to embrace the unexpected twists of the creative journey. Key Takeaways: Relationships Matter: Cultivating friendships in the music industry happens naturally when you're present and active. The connections you make can offer both emotional and professional benefits, such as networking opportunities and support while on tour. Promotion is Key: Once you have a body of work, focus on promoting it creatively. Engaging your audience through various platforms, not just through music releases, can build anticipation and excitement. Stay Grounded: When you're frustrated, check in with yourself. If you're still passionate about what you're doing, the struggles are worth it. Don't lose sight of the positive aspects of your career. Stepping Stones: Smaller shows or seemingly unsuccessful moments can lead to greater opportunities down the road. Every step is part of the journey. Celebrate Yourself: Personal and artistic growth takes time. Remember to appreciate who you are and what you've accomplished. Self-love and self-encouragement are just as important as constructive criticism.
