Fran Dunphy is a Philadelphia basketball coaching legend. He led the Penn Quakers from 1989-2006 and the Temple Owls from 2006 until his retirement this last season, winning multiple league championships and coaching awards throughout. Dunphy teaches a business management class at Temple. We spent some time in his office after class to talk about his career, how basketball has changed, how players have changed, how he has changed and why his worst loss was his most important game as a coach. Max is an established Lighting Designer in the Live Music Sector, ranging from small clubs to arenas, live events, and touring bands.  Max was house LD for Brooklyn Bowl New York and helped open Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas before venturing out on the road with various independant gigs ranging from The Motet to Guns 'n Roses. Max has been part of the JessMessin' crew since 2009, and was the first LD to light up my paintings at Sullivan Hall off of Bleeker Street.

October 10, 2013 | Adam Renn Olenn Berklee College of Music, Heavy Rotation Records (HRR), and Berklee Alumni Affairs present the seventh annual CMJ Music Marathon showcase of alumni and student artists on Thursday, October 17, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Sullivan Hall in New York City. The show features rock, Americana, funk, reggae, and Latin music by the Hello Strangers, Shun Ng, Sylvana Joyce + the Moment, Sirma (HRR), Red Oblivion (HRR), Miko and the Musket, and Numasbala. The lineup is curated by the Red Room at Cafe 939, Berklee's all-ages nightclub that hosts national and local acts year-round. Berklee's CMJ Music Marathon 2013 Showcase is open to ages 18 and up. Admission is free for CMJ badge holders and $10 for the general public. Sullivan Hall is located at 214 Sullivan Street (between Bleecker and West 3rd), New York, NY (A, B, C, D, E, F, M train to West 4th; 1 or 9 to Houston Street; 6 to Bleecker).
