The Creative Psychotherapist podcast is an inspiring and helpful resource for creative therapists looking to build thriving businesses. Hosted by Reina, the podcast features interviews with therapists who have found unique and innovative ways to incorporate creativity into their practices. One of the best aspects of this podcast is the warmth and encouragement that Reina brings as a host. Her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in her guests create a welcoming atmosphere that makes listeners feel inspired and motivated.

Another great aspect of this podcast is the diverse range of therapists that are featured as guests. Each therapist brings their own unique perspective and experiences, illustrating the many different paths one can take in running a fulfilling practice. This variety allows listeners to gain insight into different creative approaches to therapy and discover new ideas for their own practices.

One potential downside of this podcast may be its focus solely on creative therapists. While this is valuable for those in the field, it may not appeal as much to individuals outside of the mental health profession or those seeking more general business advice. However, for creative therapists looking for specific guidance and inspiration, The Creative Psychotherapist podcast delivers exactly what they need.

In conclusion, The Creative Psychotherapist podcast is a valuable resource for creative therapists who are looking to grow their practices in innovative ways. With its inspiring interviews, practical tips, and warm host, this podcast provides an abundance of inspiration and guidance for those in the field. Whether you're an art therapist or a creative business person in the mental health industry, tuning in to The Creative Psychotherapist will leave you feeling motivated and ready to take your practice to new heights.

To introduce this novel format, past peer-reviewed research will be discussed from the empirical-based inquiry. For the majority of our time together, however, participants will be invited to work collaboratively and in embodied ways to create their own PPSAs using a number of expressive arts tools, including creative writing, digital apps, and mask-making. In particular, participants will discover the theory, processes, and outcome of this restorative way of doing participatory research within narrative inquiry. Synthesizing personal explorations to enhance emotional or clinical development — then creatively reconstructing that information and affect into PPSAs with the intent to re-story and restore self-identity while being witnessed — can be very effective in treatment, as well.PLEASE NOTE: Participants' knowledge of qualitative research tenets and methods will be beneficial. The ability to access your narratives without concern about retraumatization will be key to maintaining safety in this session. The Future of Black Creative Art Therapists: Practice, Pedagogy and Preservation will be available for preorder on https://www.routledge.com/ April 2026. Mimi Savage, PhD, RDT, BCT contact msavage@ciis.eduMimi's SoCaldramatherapycenter http://www.socaldramatherapycenter.com/Mimi's LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/mimi-savage-phd-rdt-bct-b0179931/Need support in creating your practice Email me for a consult: creativeclinician@gmail.com

LISTEN & LEARN: How our unresolved attachment wounds show up and replay in our professional lives.  How being a therapist entrepreneur pushes us to expand and grow.  How the unconscious work is like a deep tissue massage; if you go too deep too fast it can feel painful in a way that is unhelpful, but if it just painful enough it promotes healing and release.  Normalization of the therapist in therapy.   Why we reenact our Family of Origin patterns in our personal lives, we do so in our professional lives.  What those patterns might look like as business owners and the importance of becoming aware of them.  The role of paring down as a preparatory action for growth.  The impact of needing income while making large scale shifts or changes within our businesses and adaptive cognitions for managing them. The essential value of Trust in the Process.  The importance of being intentional with our time in order to refuel our energy so that we have what we need to care for ourselves and others.  The importance of unearthing and recognizing historic patterns so that we don't recreate them in our business/practice.
