On the latest MLB offseason edition of  Inside the (Rob) Parker, Rob leads off with a deep dive into Tom Brady's retirement from the NFL. Football writers worship at Brady's feet so all signs point to him being a unanimous Pro Football Hall of Famer. But, given Brady's history of cheating (DeflateGate and SpyGate), do you think he would still get into the Hall of Fame if baseball writers were the ones doing the voting? If the writer kept Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens out of Cooperstown for circumstantial evidence at best, you don't think they'd do the same to a convicted cheater like Brady? Guess we'll never know. Later, baseball content creator Gary Sheffield Jr swings by to discuss his father's Hall of Fame candidacy, why he was so disappointed to see so many writers hold the Steroid Era against his dad even though he never tested positive, why his father's history of coming up clutch in the postseason should matter more, why some guys have a hard time playing well under the bright lights of New York and much more! Finally, Rob closes the show by praising MLB for putting an up-and-coming star like Jazz Chisholm on the cover of MLB The Show 23 - another 'MLB Bro you need to know' doing big things! Former St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Scott Rolen was voted into the Hall of Fame Tuesday by the BBWAA. No other players were voted in to be inducted, although Colorado Rockies great Todd Helton (72.2%) and closer Billy Wagner (68.1%) came close, and are on track to enter the Hall soon. 2000 National League MVP Jeff Kent was denied entry for the tenth time, and now falls off the writer's ballot. 10-25-2022 Passed Ball Show. John opens up this program by laughing at the fact that University of Texas Football Head Coach Steve Sarkisian had to apologize for not signing the school's Texas song after following their loss to Oklahoma State. He then cuts into the fact that it would have not been an issue had the team won. This launches him into his rant about the under respecting of the basic win or loss when it comes to the teams we root for. Win and loss is too basic for most, we need to tell the public we (the media and fans) are much smarter than anybody who thinks, simply, : the team that wins is good and the team that looses is bad. John claims that is all it is. He talks about the NY Football Giants great start and how everybody believes it all about the coach. He asks you if you feel the same way if the Giants lose their next five? (This is not a prediction, just a question.) He then talks about the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears and asks if you would be still down on the Denver coach if they won their next five? Would you believe the Bears are still headed in the right direction if they shit the bed next week? He then finishes off his point by discussing the careers of Hall of Fame Baseball managers Casey Stengel and Joe Torre. Finally, he advocates a Bruce Bochy/ Jacob deGrom combo in Texas (providing Jake really wants out of New York) and why Hideki Matsui belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

It is also Ask You Anything Wednesday which gives you a chance to win Def Leppard tickets. (13:54-27:26) Jen introduces today's Twitter poll.  What Phillies player have you been most disappointed in this season? Your options are JT Realmuto, Corey Knebel, Jeurys Familia and Nick Castellanos.  The early leader is JT Realmuto (I'm sure last night didn't help him).  The crew gives their thoughts before Tyrone heads to the phones to kick off Ask You Anything Wednesday.  Tyrone also asks the question; if a co-worker baked you a cake or pie and brought it to you at work, what would you do (if you are not single)? He also gets into some GOAT rapper talk. (27:36-42:47) Tyrone, Jen and Tom are on-air as Garret Stubbs hits a walk off Home Run against the Marlins. Hall of Fame Baseball writer for The Athletic Jayson Stark joins the show to share his Top 5 MLB players of all-time as well as Phillies.  He also talks about the bullpen struggles and believes JT Realmuto is playing too many games.

(00:00-10:22) The Mike Missanelli Show is live from The Brian Dawkins Driving Impact Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester.  It's going to be an exciting show.  Mike starts off talking about the Brian Windhorst report that Daryl Morey is looking to acquire another star and if need be, Tyrese Maxey might be included.  Mike isn't sure what type of star Morey is expecting because Tobias Harris would be included as well.  Tyrone is not on board with letting Maxey go and the guess is most of Philadelphia isn't either.  Jen doesn't want to talk about it. (10:33-35:36) Jen introduces today's Twitter poll.  How many games will the Eagles win after the Bradberry signing? Your choices are 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12 or more.  The early leader is 10-11.  Mike, Tyrone and Jen give their thoughts then Mike heads to the phones. (35:46-45:46) Eagles legend Donovan McNabb joins the show to talk about his time as an Eagle, his love for Philadelphia and more.  He will not comment on Terrell Owens because he said he's past that.  Brian Westbrook joins the conversation to explain what McNabb meant to the Eagles and the city. (45:56-53:14) Mike heads back to the phones before talking to another Eagles great. (53:15-1:05:12) Former Eagles defensive greats Hugh Douglas and Hollis Thomas joins the show to talk about what they have been up to.  Hugh talks about being on the radio down in Atlanta and how different it is than Philadelphia. Hollis and Hugh talk about the current Eagles to include Jalen Hurts.  They both explain how much they loved playing defense in Philly. (1:05:23-1:18:45) Mike explains his problem with carpenter bees at his house and how he is trying to get rid of them.  He doesn't want to see them perish but doesn't want them around. (1:18:56-1:25:19) Former Eagle and current NBC Sports personality Barrett Brooks joins the show. He gives his thoughts on the James Bradberry signing.  He believes the Eagles are in win now mode.  Barrett also gives his thoughts on Jalen Hurts; the Eagles draft picks, and more! (1:25:30-1:45:08) Mike heads back to the phones to hear more of your thoughts on Tyrese Maxey being included in a trade, the Eagles, the Phillies or whatever else is on your mind.  He also receives some tips on getting rid of carpenter bees. (1:45:18-2:01:00) Hall of Fame Baseball writer for The Athletic Jayson Stark joins the show to talk Phillies baseball.  He talks about the Phillies leading the league in exit velocity, Bryce Harper's injury and how it affects his chances of playing in the outfield again this year, and the Phillies playoff chances. He even talks about Tyrese Maxey. (2:01:11-2:10:42) NFL Reporter and Fanatic family member Derrick Gunn joins the show to give insight on The Brian Dawkins Driving Impact Celebrity Golf Tournament.  He may sound a little hoarse because he emceed an auction last night.  He also talks about the James Bradberry and how much better it makes the Eagles.  The Eagles should have a top of the line defense this year. If Jalen Hurts slightly improves the Eagles should still be at the top of the NFC East with everything the Eagles have. (2:01:11-2:10:42) Mike heads back to the phones to hear more of your thoughts. (2:10:53-2:32:06) NFL Running Back great and Abington native Eddie George joins the show to talk about playing at Abington, the passion of Philly fans, current Running Backs in the NFL, and more! (2:32:16-2:40:23) Former Eagles Linebacker great Takeo Spikes joins the show to talk about the impact of Brian Dawkins, golf, cigars and more! (2:40:33-2:48:40) It is time for Sound Off, but wait!  The legend and all-time NFL and Eagles great Brian Dawkins joins the show mid-way through sound off to talk about the importance of this golf tournament and the impact foundation.  He also talks about the amazing feeling he always gets when he comes back to Philadelphia.

He was the first African American baseball player to break Major League Baseball's color barrier that segregated the sport for more than 50 years. In 1997, the world celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Jackie's breaking the Baseball's color barrier. In doing so, we honored the man who stood defiantly against those who would work against racial equality and acknowledged the profound influence of one man's life on the American culture.
