We're back from the road with a fresh batch of tour tales! We were staying on the same floor as the Chicago Bulls and got the chance to train like an athlete when a fire alarm caused us to haul these big ole thighs up 13 flights of stairs! From there we get into the important stuff: the very questionable legality of NYC bodega cats, the man who broke into a Little Caesars to make and sell pizzas (kinda a hero... very Sammich coded). We address the special kind of torture that is "trying to buy concert tickets online," Canadian cafe haters on Yelp, and so much more!!This episode was mixed and edited by Kevin Betts.Sponsors:➜ Get 20% off your first order, plus free shipping at MeUndies.com/counselors and using our code: counselors➜ Talk it out, with BetterHelp. We're back with my dear friend Frank for another energy clearing. In our last episode together, I channeled you guys because we can tap into people's consciousness. Thousands of you said gave you the most insane out-of-body experiences. Even my brother's fiancé, who's not super deep into spirituality, had a full experience while cleaning her room. It's moments like that that make you realize we really are tapping into something else, something that's real. We are in a spacetime continuum together right now - you connecting with me and me connecting with you, even though you're watching this in a different calendar time. In this episode, we explore:

No one tells you what becoming a parent actually feels like. Not the baby registry, not the birth plan—but the identity shift, the relationship changes, the loneliness, grief, and joy that cracks you open. In this solo, Lindsey shares what she genuinely wishes someone had told her before becoming a mom. From nervous system overload + sleep deprivation to partnership strain + matrescence (the emotional + psychological transformation of motherhood), Lindsey pulls back the curtain on early parenthood. This isn't about fear—it's about truth. The discomfort, the rewiring, the ego death, and the profound expansion that comes with raising a child. If you're a new mom, thinking about becoming a parent, or deep in your own identity shift in your 30s, this episode will make you feel seen. It's honest, grounding, and deeply reassuring: you're not doing it wrong—it's just that big of a transformation. We also talk about: Why motherhood expands your capacity for discomfort The nervous system rewiring that happens after having a baby Intrusive thoughts + heightened sensitivity in early motherhood Relationship changes after a baby (+ the Gottman research on partnership dips) Why you don't “go back” to your old self—and why that's freeing Matrescence + identity loss in your 30s Grieving your old life while loving your child How motherhood ruthlessly edits your priorities Perfectionism in parenting + attachment research truths Emotional availability vs. “doing it right” Loneliness in early motherhood + building your village Reparenting yourself while raising your child Resources: Instagram: @lindseysimcik Order our book, Almost 30: A Definitive Guide To A Life You Love For The Next Decade and Beyond, here: https://bit.ly/Almost30Book. In Bridgeville, PA, George Sodini executed a chilling attack inside a gym. Featuring real audio. George Alfred Sodini, 48. He was a systems analyst, once invisible and misunderstood, who turned his personal darkness into devastation. On August 4, 2009, in Collier Township, Pennsylvania, Sodini walked into an LA Fitness gym with a duffel bag, setting the stage for chaos. As he turned off the lights in a crowded aerobics class, the room descended into terror as he opened fire. By night's end, three women lay dead, and several others were injured. The investigation revealed a disturbing blog chronicling Sodini's loneliness and rage, providing a glimpse into a troubled mind plotting revenge. The evidence was overwhelming, with cameras capturing the moments leading up to the horror. The case never reached a courtroom closure, as Sodini took his own life at the scene. His actions left a community scarred and searching for answers. This episode features court recordings and 911 calls. Listener discretion advised. Stopping the shame spiral—what if the fastest way out isn't more willpower, but more compassion? In this episode of Alcohol Freedom Coaching, Coach Hayley supports Carol, a newly retired grandmother who felt “so far behind” after a vacation slip, and Coach Cole guides Nancy, a devoted mom caring for a daughter with complex special needs, who's learning to relax without wine and let go of “I should be doing more” guilt. Together, they model how to shift from self-blame to curiosity, build emotion-based goals (happiness, energy, motivation), and reconnect with support inside The Path. In Carol's session: Naming the belief: “I'm so far behind” vs. “I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.” Turning slips into data points—not identity—and choosing curiosity over criticism. Building emotion-based goals: happiness, energy, motivation as a north star. Breaking overwhelm: 15-minute re-entry (one video, one call, one journal prompt). Navigating travel and social events without defaulting to comparison or shame. Finding connection again: taking up space on calls even when you feel “not bad enough.” Practical reframe for 3 a.m. thoughts and night-after guilt. Tools for stopping the shame spiral after a vacation or wedding slip .…and more. In Nancy's session: Spotting guilt in the body (chest/shoulders tightness) and softening with micro-moments. Permission slips: letting older siblings help, one small experiment at a time. Replacing the 4 p.m. wine ritual with soothing, sensory evening routines. Distinguishing healthy guilt (course-correct) from toxic shame (self-attack). Creating a “treat” that isn't alcohol: porch time, breathwork, a few pages of a novel. Scripts to ask for help without apologizing for your needs. How curiosity interrupts ruminating about “not doing enough.” Practical ideas for stopping the shame spiral when responsibilities feel nonstop .…and more. A Victorian courtroom drama unfolds as a chilling murder verdict is delivered in 19th-century London, a place of evolving laws and societal norms. This episode, nestled in the heart of Season 38's exploration of 'The Rugeley Poisoner,' uncovers the judicial outcomes and societal impact of murder trials during this transformative era. Episode 3 follows the toxic trail left by the infamous Dr. William Palmer. This physician, perceived by many as a respectable figure, secretly loitered in deceitful practices. Before accusations shadowed over him, Palmer was known for his medical expertise and charm, captivating the trust of many. This case's significance lies in its pivotal role in shaping forensic science and challenging perceptions of professionalism and truth within Victorian society. It underscored the era's limitations in legal frameworks concerning evidence and the interpretation of scientific data. Case details chart Palmer's methodical approach to eliminating those around him, using poison, an agent of death that walked hand in hand with mystery. As the case unravelled, evidence pointed to a methodical plot built on small errors and oversight, leading detectives through a maze of deceit. The Victorian era bridged the old and new in terms of judicial practice. Emerging scientific techniques clashed with antiquated beliefs, reflecting broader social unrest amidst rapid industrialization and class divisions. Listeners will enter the Victorian courtrooms, visualizing the tension-laden trials through dramatizations and expert narratives. Insights into legal and social standards will illuminate the blurred lines between truth and justice in a rapidly changing world. --- Support Foul Play: Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/foulplaypodcast Website: https://www.mythsandmalice.com/show/foul-play/ Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/foul-play-crime-series/id1525832703 Follow us: Instagram: @foulplaycrimeseries Twitter: @foulplaypodOur Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Kensington Publishing: https://www.kensingtonbooks.comSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/foulplay/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

One speaker shares their personal journey with chronic pain, highlighting the confusion and frustration that arises from conflicting medical opinions and the realization that many people with structural issues do not experience pain. We talk about pain as a real experience, regardless of its origin, and discuss the importance of understanding the brain's role in pain perception. The conversation also touches on the psychological aspects of pain, including how stress and anxiety can amplify pain sensations, and the significance of addressing these mental factors in pain management. Ram Dass explores living in times of great change, the cost of individuality to our compassionate hearts, and the importance of building and being part of the web of human caring. Ram Dass Here & Now is brought to you by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try at betterhelp.com/ramdass and get on your way to being your best self. This episode of Here and Now is the conclusion of Ram Dass' lecture in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 27th, 1992. Listen to Here and Now Ep. 297 for the first part of this talk. Ram Dass begins by laying out the societal changes taking place from his vantage point in the 90s, and how people get reactive and frightened by change. In order to hear our predicament, we must quiet down enough to be able to listen clearly.Ram Dass talks about the cost of individuality to our compassionate, human hearts. He explores how we can set boundaries and learn to say no without closing our hearts, and how we can take any situation and turn it into karma yoga.Ram Dass speaks to how we can honor individual differences without being trapped by them. Being caught in our separateness cuts us off from the community of fellow beings, but it is possible to build the web of human caring and be part of it. We can be at peace in the midst of great change. The Ram Dass community gathers regularly to engage in meaningful discussions about the podcast. Welcome back to Dark Realms.Today's Dark Realms episode explores a brutal Norman fortress built by William the Conqueror to dominate a conquered city—and uncovers three of its lesser-known yet most terrifying hauntings. Beyond the familiar royal spectres lies something far darker, diabolical chilling presences, desperate prayers carved into stone, and modern day witnesses reporting unseen touches in the dark. Blending documented history, named eyewitness testimony, and centuries of whispered legend, this episode examines how confinement, sanctioned violence, and occult-era fascination with illusion may have shaped some of the Tower's most disturbing encounters—inviting you to decide whether these walls hold memory… or something far more deliberate.Stay safe,Kevin. We're giving a full weeks trial of our Patreon away! Today, Ali talks to Barbara Ginty, host of the Future Rich podcast, for a special crossover episode to share her deeply personal fertility journey — and to talk honestly about the emotional and financial realities of IVF. Barbara froze her eggs in her 30s, not knowing exactly when or how she might use them. Seven years later, she returned to those frozen eggs and went through IVF — and now, as this episode airs, she's on the brink of welcoming her first baby. Barbara shares what it was like to trust a decision she made years earlier, the uncertainty of the process, and the surreal feeling of finally reaching this moment. Barbara also turns the mic on Ali, who opens up about her secondary infertility and IVF journey, including the complicated emotions that can come with trying to grow your family after already having a child.
