Did you know prayer was provided as a gift from God? Listen to how the original command to pray 50 times a day was reduced to 5, but still retains the reward of 50. Washing before prayer cleanses the worshipper of sins. Prayer itself is an expiation. Learn about the purpose in actions during worship and praying in a private conversation with Allah, as He responds to each verse in the opening chapter of the Holy Qur’an. In Surah Fatihah, worshippers ask Allah to ensure they stay on the straight path, which can be referred to as: truth, Islam, guidance from Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and the Qur’an itself. Allah answers this prayer in the opening chapter with the beginning of the following chapter, indicating the Qur’an is the guidance worshippers are seeking. It is provided for believers to cling to, recite and act on its contents. Prayer includes prostrating before Allah, which brings the believer closest to His Creator. Upon completing worship, let it linger in remembering Allah until the next opportunity to prostrate. Use the time in between prayers to make dua in asking Allah, as He loves for believers to ask of Him. Support the show (http://www.goodtreeacademy.org/donate?id=pd)
