Join James Pearce for reaction from St Mary's as Liverpool move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, thanks to more Mohamed Salah brilliance. The Egyptian King scored twice on the south coast as Arne Slot's men had to come from behind to win, despite taking a first half lead through Dominik Szoboszlai. Adam Armstrong and Mateus Fernandes scored either side of half-time to turn the game around before Salah's double to move him past 100 away goals for the club. As well as analysis from St Mary's listen in for Slot's press conference as well as Andy Jones dropping by with his thoughts after the Reds conceded twice against the Premier League's bottom side. La Porta | Renungan Harian Katolik - Daily Meditation according to Catholic Church liturgy

Welcome dear listener to the latest episode. I'm Paul and I am joined by Daz and Sean. The Reds beat Aston Villa 2-0 last Saturday and went 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League. Given the international break, we will review the first part of the season, and look ahead to Southampton and Real Madrid . Part One - Villa - xG (2.02 to 1.38 - Villa 0.73 set play xG in the first half). Villa 2 big chances in the second half?: Starkest example of the Arne Slot plan to control games. It was quite hard work at times wasn't it? Bradley, Andy Robbo The center backs…. Scousers can't have the best in the world obviously. The big fast runners through the middle looked a lot less effective here. Incredible midfield control - no Villa shot between 46 and 82. Gravenberch and Jones looking really impressive I thought Salah - 10 goals and 10 assists in 17 games. Best goalie in the world! Martinez has great PR…. Austin McPhee - how do I know this fella's name? Had some chances, could have conceded 4 from their corners - first 20 minutes, Bailey Red card? Part two - After Southampton, we have Real Madrid and Man City in the same week 2024-25 hopes aspirations. Salah seems to have the 2019-20 Sadio Mane role, where he is not going to allow us to stop before we've won the league. 9 points ahead of third etc. including Arsenal Southampton - narratives, Team selection and prediction Real Madrid - narratives, Team selection and prediction Man City narratives, Team selection and prediction Part Three - The Coote video and refereeing: David Coote - no surprise about what happened, have we? Lack of reference to the ‘we hate scousers' stuff. Suddenly applies to everyone. The Salah test - 220th in the list of number of fouls per 90 last season We will be back next week with a review of the Southampton game, may have to wait for a view of the Real Madrid game with it being Thanksgiving. Thanks to Daz and Sean for joining me, Paul. And most of all, thank you dear listener for joining us. If you enjoyed the pod, please share it with a friend. Hello Rank Squad! With the final international break of the calendar year now in motion, we thought it would be a good time to take stock of what's happened so far in European club football and rank the clubs who have impressed most over the start to this season. Jack's taken out any clubs he feels are underperforming expectations to narrow the field, and then ordered the seven he feels have started the strongest to give us a ranking based on what we've seen on the pitch. There's entries from all across Europe's Big Seven leagues, with some league leaders matched up with some drastic overperformers as well - so this really is one that should stir up some debate. Let us know who your picks would have been across our socials! Before that, there's some time for Things We Love, which this week digs into the MLS postseason and the rise of the underdog in the Eastern Conference, as well as Fiorentina's flying form and the resurgence of Moise Kean as a bona fide star. It's Ranks! And remember, if you'd like more from the Rank Squad, including extra podcasts every Monday and Friday (including our weekly Postbox taking a look at the whole weekend of football) and access to our brilliant Discord community, then why not join us here on Patreon?

Hello Rank Squad!Something a little bit different this week, a little bit more out of the old school B/R Football Ranks playbook, as we do a live ranking of the world's footballing superstars in the current day and age - based on both their star power, their influence on their teams, and their form so far in this season. The first debate is what makes a 'superstar' - shirt sales? Goal and assist numbers? Global adoration? Once that's out of the way, we take ten names and try to order them in terms of where they fit in the current pantheon - are the days of Ronaldo and Messi dominating the landscape completely gone? Are the dynamic duo of Mbappé and Haaland now dominant? Or have others like Vinicius Jr and Lamine Yamal disrupted the situation so much that they now sit at the forefront? We discuss it all. Before that though, there's time for Things We Love, where this week we're talking about Fulham's dramatic West London Derby win over Brentford thanks to two stoppage time goals from Harry WIlson, as well as Damien Duff leading Shelbourne to a dramatic League of Ireland title in his first senior job in managament. It's Ranks! And remember, if you'd like more from the Rank Squad, including extra podcasts every Monday and Friday (including our weekly Postbox taking a look at the whole weekend of football) and access to our brilliant Discord community, then why not join us here on Patreon?

Join hosts Josh and Brandon as we break down the GW10 highs and lows and look ahead to key decisions for the upcoming GW11. Salah rewarded the FPL faithful with a classic goal versus Brighton—standard service has either resumed or it never went away. Meanwhile, against Bournemouth, Haaland again disappointed. As we audition our preferred three premium (three-mium) assets, this feels like THE critical moment for the Norwegian. Stick, twist, or gloat for not having had him for weeks? And no longer a passing fad, Chris Wood continues his dominant run, surpassing even every Arsenal asset in total fantasy points. Finally, we look ahead to the last gameweek before another international break and discuss if Solanke and Spurs are for real this time. Hail Cheaters!
