Persona 5 Royal comes to western PS4s soon, but an interesting controversy has overtaken the hype. Buried within the massive JRPG's original release are a couple of scenes that a small group of players found homophobic, and in response, Atlus is making some key edits to lessen the blow. The question is, should the publisher be making these changes? Are the scenes even offensive at all? Let's chat about it, and see how we feel. Then, more news! Sony, Kojima Productions, and others are bailing out of upcoming trade shows in fear of Coronavirus, EA cancels yet another Star Wars game, Call of Duty's upcoming battle royale mode may just surprise you, THQ Nordic just can't stop buying companies, and more! Following that: Listener inquiries! Would we play a game with the American military as the antagonists? How important of a factor should inflation be in the cost of gaming hardware? In this episode of My Life In Games Silus, Sage, and Neutron catchup on their current games before diving into thoughts on Sea of Thieves and the now released "Hungering Deep" DLC. Before leaving pirate-ridden waters, Ubisoft's Skull and Bones enters the conversation with canons still red hot with hype regardless of the launch delay. Neutron and Sage are back playing Destiny 2 after the Curse of Osiris and Warmind DLCs and discuss their impressions since the vanilla release. Of course, with E3 so close it's impossible not to bring up what peaks our interest and what should walk the plank. Silus then discusses a new Nintendo woe before opening up the conversation to our current anime picks. We round off the show with a Content Creator Update and discuss Streamlabs Mobile and Twitch's low-latency mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was revealed this week, and we have our reactions ready. Does the lack of single player in the new game bother us, and what do we think about the new Battle Royale mode called Blackout? Aside from Call of Duty, are we happy that Battle Royale is the new trend in gaming? We discuss the likelihood that the new craze will become a staple in all shooter games going forward. There were more delays this week, including Ubisoft's Skull and Bones, which was delayed until 2019. We discuss whether it's better to delay a game (sometimes even multiple times) or to keep the release date promise and continue to support the game post-release to make the experience better. Do games like The Division, Sea of Thieves, and the original Titanfall deserve second chances months or more after release? We detail all new releases for each console in our releases segment, and answer plenty of questions in our fan mail segment at the end of the show.
