Megan and Paige, the Spooky Science Sisters, join us for a very scientific episode! When Zak, Nick, and Aaron visit their most isolated location yet, it turns out that when there is no source of noise pollution, there is no ghost evidence. While it wasn't exciting from a "ghost evidence" perspective, we had a lot of fun. Our guests are the hosts of a hilarious and informative podcast that we just adore. Shared Practices | Your Dental Roadmap to Practice Ownership | Custom Made for the New Dentist

Episode 4-35 Dr. Zak Allmand and Apex Payment Solutions Dr. Erin Elliot introduced me to Dr. Zak Allmand and said “You have to interview Zak. We switched to his company and it’s helped our case acceptance.”  So I interviewed him and had a blast. We talk about how Zak made the spontaneous decision to buy a practice with a friend over a case of Miller Light. Zak’s runs his overhead between 37% to 42%, blowing industry averages out of the water. When Zak bought his practice it had rainbow confetti carpet and paper charts. We dive into the details of how Apex Payment Solutions came to be and what a weird industry merchant services is. We look at how and when to set up payment plans and some simple rules to make it easy for your team. “For a lot of jobs, it’s actually a lot easier to get hired, promoted, and to continue growing in that job without the degree than you think it is. You just need to be creative.” In this episode of Nat Chat, I’m joined by Zak Slayback. Zak dropped out of the University of Pennsylvania when he realized that college just wasn’t for him. Since then, he’s worked on business development, published his own book, become the head of publishing for an online publication called The Mission, and much more.
