Cyborg otrzymuje story arc, związany z niecodziennym romansem. Dodatkowo, jeszcze lepiej poznajemy ten przedziwny świat, a Doom Patrol Manor odwiedzają starzy znajomi jak Flex Mentallo czy Willoughby Kipling. Czy 2. sezon serii się nam podobał? Oczywiście. Co konkretnie i dlaczego? Tego dowiecie się z materiału.

On this weeks RECAP: DC's DOOM PATROL - SEASON 2 - EPISODE 1 - FUN SIZE PATROL - we resume the premier episode of the highly anticipated Season 2 right where we left off. The team is all still miniature with the exception of Larry. We start the episode off with a flashback to 1927, a carnival in London. We see a Dorothy Spinner, daughter of Niles Caulder, in a cage seemingly an attraction. She despises her conditions and the psychological abuse by the owners. At night she is crying when a mysterious voice whispers the words "make wish" and tells her to close her eyes. A scene of devastation is left when all the carnival and carnival goers are massacred by an unknown entity. Dorothy's power is to bring her powerful imaginary friends to life. Back in the now, the team is still miniature from the encounter and ending of Season 1 where they went into the painting to stop the end of the world. Most are also very upset with Niles for being the cause of conditions and life mishaps on his quest to look for immortality, especially Cliff. Larry takes the team to Tiny Town, the miniature set Cliff had constructed as his hobby. There they stay eating miniature pancakes and regular sized popcorn trying to find a way to become regular size again. Cliff spends time hating the rats but also feeds them. Rita wants to learn to use her powers. Jane is using the power dampening drug. Dorothy is actually enjoying this time while everyone seems miserable. When science doesnt work, the team chooses to go to magic. Willoughby Kipling appears and makes a deal with Niles to return them to their size in exchange for the magical rabbits foot that gives him immortality. Niles hands it over, meaning he is now officially dying. All this and more on the Afterbuzz Aftershow. Stay tuned. In this week's episode of the Doom Patrol Podcast, Andy, Cori, and Laura came together to discuss the first three episodes of the second season of Doom Patrol, this time with full spoilers! Find out what they thought about the first 3 chapters of Doom Patrol season 2 on the Titans Podcast/Doom Patrol Podcast! "2,01 "Fun Size Patrol" Summary: In the season premiere, Niles, Jane, Cliff, Rita, Vic and Dorothy are still trapped in miniature-size, weeks after the events of last season. Camped out in Cliff’s miniature race-track set up, Dorothy tries to befriend both Cliff and Jane, while Larry does his best to figure out a way to restore everyone to their normal size once again. Meanwhile, Rita asks Vic for help in using her elastic abilities for good, while Jane hides out in the Underground and Niles tries everything to earn forgiveness for his past deeds. In the end though, Niles will have to sacrifice something very precious, by making a bargain with Willoughby Kipling (recurring guest star MARK SHEPPARD) in order to help the team and keep his daughter safe – and the world safe from her imaginary friends. 2,02 "Tyme Patrol" Summary: Cliff, Jane, and Rita pursue Dr. Tyme (guest star BRANDON PEREA) – and his time-altering space mineral – in their reluctant quest to help Niles and Dorothy. At a support group, Vic meets Roni (guest star KAREN OBILOM), a feisty military vet who challenges his beliefs. And Larry comes face-to-face with his past at a funeral. 2.03 "Pain Patrol" Summary: In the wake of a terrifying omen, Niles and Rita enter the interdimensional palace of the infamous Red Jack (guest star ROGER FLOYD), who feeds on pain and has taken Larry prisoner. Jane is called to The Underground to receive an ultimatum, while her physical body travels to Florida with Cliff, who’s eager to prove he’s a good father. Back at the manor, Dorothy’s game of hide and seek ends badly." To everyone who participated in the live-chat all-day long and helped promote the marathon as well as donate, we thank you so much! Episode 4 of Doom Patrol drags us a little deeper into the weirdness.  Our intrepid heroes put their search for the Chief on the back burner while they help Willoughby Kipling avert the Apocalypse. Who is Willoughby Kipling?  Glad you asked. He is a member of the Knights Templar.  He uses chaos magic to get the job done.  He has a history with the Chief which is how he ends up with the Doom Patrol.  If Willoughby gives off some Constantine vibes... that is intended. Back when DC tried to keep Vertigo characters separate from their DC characters, Grant Morrison wanted to use Constantine in his Doom Patrol story.  DC Comics told him nope.  So he did the next best thing and invented a similar character to fit his needs. We get a little bit more backstory on Larry Trainor/Negative Man.  We also see Rita start using her elastic stretchy powers rather than just becoming a gelatinous blob.  Another of Crazy Jane’s personalities comes out as well. The episode ends in a cliff-hanger so we will have to wait until next week to see if the Doom Patrol is able to stop the Cult of the Unwritten Book from summoning the Decreator and ending the world as we know it. How are you liking Doom Patrol so far?  Is the weirdness enjoyable or do you find it too over the top?  Let us know in the comments.   CHECK OUT THE GUYS THAT MAKE US LOOK GOOD SUBSCRIBE to watch more videos like this one! Dave and Elise embark upon their penultimate patrol with issues #60 and #61 of the series! Among our action items this time out: it's the Strange Love of Martha Ivers meets Cthulhu back in little Dorothy's haunted childhood; a trip to hell; Willoughby Kipling's bone idyll; subgenius fun with Magnus and Tungsten; and a Morrisonian Dr. Seuss Ex Machina. Also: a state of the art nano-nihilist finale.   Special Request Section: After we record our concluding chapter next week, we'd like to take a week to reflect upon the series and come back with an overview episode. For best results, we'll need some good critical material to bounce our brains off. Any Doom Patrol essays out there you'd care to recommend? The rough times continue for our heroes, as Elise and Dave react to Cliff's electric dreams, the return of Willoughby Kipling and his shit attitude, another gruesome death in the DP family, an oneiric extinction event in progress, and, maybe, just maybe, some good news from Kay Challis. Also: a Seventh Victim callback that is probably just your basic monstrous nursery rhyme allusion.    Theme song: The Revelators - "Don't Look at me When I'm Looking at You"   You can always write us at anotherkindofdistance@gmail.com, or contact us through our Facebook Page or our Twitter accounts @milescoverdale and @rhodaAF709  We're on all of the podcast delivery services, including iTunes, TuneIn radio and Stitcher, so please rate/review us there, if you can!
