WondLa's grand finale to the trilogy is out now on Apple TV! We were lucky enough to sit down with two of the show's leads, Jeanine Mason and Alan Tudyk, to discuss the final season. We chat with both of them about their approach to voice acting and more in these interviews. Make sure to listen before starting the final season of Wondla! About the show: This groundbreaking third and final installment features a star-studded voice cast, including Jeanine Mason ("Roswell, New Mexico") as Eva, Emmy Award winner Brad Garrett ("Everybody Loves Raymond") as Otto, Gary Anthony Williams ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows") as Rovender, Alan Tudyk ("Resident Alien") as Cadmus Pryde, John Ratzenberger ("Toy Story") as Caruncle, John Harlan Kim ("The Librarians") as Hailey, Ana Villafañe ("Castro's Daughter") as Eva 8, Peter Gallagher ("The O.C") as Antiquus, and many more. New cast members include Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated Shohreh Aghdashloo ("House of Sand and Fog") as Darius and Arius, and Maz Jobrani ("The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour") as Zin. In the epic final season of "WondLa," war erupts between humans and aliens. With Orbona's fate hanging in the balance, Eva must embark on her most dangerous mission yet: recapturing the stolen Heart of the Forest. Along the way, she gathers old friends and unlikely allies for one last stand. But to save Orbona, Eva must do more than find the Heart; she must bridge two divided worlds and prove the ultimate truth: "There is no 'them.' There is only us." The epic trilogy's final season continues with six thrilling half-hour episodes executive produced by Tony DiTerlizzi and Bobs Gannaway alongside Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, Julie Kane-Ritsch, and Skydance Animation's John Lasseter, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. The series is also produced by Tony Cosanella.

After surviving Thanksgiving and the subsequent biting cold, we jumped into the FOLLOW UP with news that Malaysia is joining the trend by taking steps to ban social media for children under 16, mirroring similar actions in Australia and Denmark—it seems the world is finally realizing the internet is a toxic wasteland for the kids. We also discussed Apple's photo AI, which is apparently still in beta, if the results are anything to go by. The bulk of our discussion centered on the spectacular, flaming death of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is Officially Dead. We broke down a brief rundown of the damages this vanity project caused, from humanitarian disasters overseas to administrative chaos and the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs domestically, proving the "savings" were pure illusion. Now, with the collapse, the 'Suddenly exposed' DOGE employees fear prosecution after Musk abandoned them, learning the hard way that billionaire guardianship has an expiration date. The job market is just great, with both Apple laying off part of its sales team despite record revenue, and HP joining the List of Tech Companies Cutting Jobs and pointing to AI as the convenient scapegoat for laying off 10% of their workforce. Meanwhile, we found out the most popular social media platform among US adults isn't Instagram or TikTok—it's YouTube—while Meta allegedly buried research showing its products are harming users, confirming what we've known all along: they're evil, but they already got your grandma hooked. Adding to the misery, An Alarming Number of Teens Say They Turn To AI For Company, Study Finds, because why talk to a real, messy human when a bot can gaslight you more efficiently? Sam Altman's financial troubles are spilling over, with Sam Altman's Business Buddies Are Getting Stung (sorry, SoftBank and Oracle), and analysts estimate OpenAI Is Just $200 Billion Away From Still Losing Money, HSBC Says, a comical hole they plan to fill by asking for more free money. Legally, OpenAI can't use the Word ‘Cameo' in Sora now, thanks to a trademark suit, and Warner Music is playing both sides by dropping its lawsuit against Suno in exchange for a licensing agreement. Finally, in some truly dark news, a Marc Andreessen-backed Super-PAC Pours Millions Into Fighting State AI Regulations, and X's new location feature reveals that New X Feature Reveals Many MAGA Patriots on X Are Not Even Based in the U.S.After ranting about my misery dealing with the Open Dialogue bug in a beta build and declaring my return to "pedestrian releases," we got into APPS & DOODADS. Spotify is actually doing something cool with its new SongDNA feature, which shows you who sampled what (and they bought WhoSampled to do it). They're also testing Spotify's New AI-powered audiobook Recaps to remind you where you left off—Amazon is doing the same with AI-powered series Recap Videos for Prime Video. Amazon is also rolling out Alexa Home Theater surround sound for Echo speakers, making those budget speakers slightly more useful. We ran through some great stocking stuffers in Jason's Holiday Gift Guide, including Velcro cable ties and the Contigo travel mug, before moving on to MEDIA CANDY, which included Dan Carlin's Common Sense, Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk's new podcast Once We Were Spacemen, and a discussion on why Stranger Things Lost the Plot. We then got deeply uncomfortable talking about a Toronto ASMR spa that offers doctor roleplay, and closed out by talking about the documentary Quiet Please… about the neurological disorder misophonia. The episode finished with the AT THE LIBRARY segment, covering the Milli Vanilli memoir You Know It's True and the sci-fi short story collection The Time Travelers Passport.Show notes at https://gog.show/724Watch now on YouTube: https://youtu.be/PoMa9FM5QEE?si=4r25yqv_0u8aXHF7Sponsors:MasterClass - Get up to 50% off at MASTERCLASS.com/GRUMPYOLDGEEKSGusto - Try Gusto today at gusto.com/grumpy, and get three months free when you run your first payroll.Private Internet Access - Go to GOG.Show/vpn and sign up today. The story follows the returning officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, who are now "partners" and go undercover to pursue Zootopia's new and mysterious reptilian resident, Gary De'Snake. Walt Disney Animation Studios has had a rough couple years (to be nice), so it should be a surprise to absolutely no one that I had very little anticipation for Zootopia 2, yet another nearly 10-year late sequel from one of the House of Mouse's big animation studios. I felt this way despite being a kid at the prime age when Zootopia came out, just like I was with Moana and Pixar's Inside Out. But, when I opened social media a few days ago... I was shocked to see this movie getting rave reviews and my curiosity was piqued. So, is Zootopia 2 a worthy sequel to one of the biggest original animated films of all-time? The Roald Dahl Retrospective is back after an almost two year hiatus. In this episode, Arun, Patricia, and special guest Eli a.k.a. The Hero of Tomorrow discuss about the 2025 Netflix animated film The Twits based on the 1980 film of the same name starring Margo Martindale, Johnny Vegas, Emilia Clarke, Natalie Portman, and Alan Tudyk,. Mr. and Mrs. Twit are an evil, gross couple who play pranks on one another. They open a theme park called Twitlandia to attract people into giving them money only for it to shut down immediately. They also drive a truck filled with hot dog filling and shove it into the town's silo to make a huge mess everywhere. A young orphan girl named Beesha and her best friend Bubsy learn about Twitlandia and want to go there, but then learned it's ran by the same people who covered the town with hot dog filling. They get them arrested and find out they have been locking up and abusing a family of monkeys called Mugglewumps into using their tears to run Twitlandia. They set them free, but then things turn for the worse when Mr. and Mrs. Twit are out of jail and are running for mayor when they promise to make the town great again by reopening Twitlandia to generate money and convince the townspeople that Beesha is bad for stealing the Mugglewumps, the only source of power to make Twitlandia run successfully. When the film premiered on Netflix, it received mixed to negative reviews from critics and fans criticizing its gross humor, its strange art style, its forgettable musical numbers, its social and political commentary, and not fitting into the spirit of the book. What did Arun, Patricia, and Eli think of this film?

Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk are bored or something because they started a podcast that doesn't have any purpose or direction. I guess these guys are used to people telling them that they're hilarious or something. They were both on Firefly, a show that only lasted one season 23 years ago. But don't worry, that kinda has nothing to do with anything. Trucker Andy joins the show to marvel at the foley work and draw comparisons to Hollywood Handbook. By 2016, the Star Wars galaxy was splintered. Disney had bought the keys to the kingdom, and The Force Awakens had opened the floodgates of nostalgia; fans were debating whether the magic still remained. Enter Rogue One, a gritty, grounded war film that not only connected the dots between trilogies but also reminded us what sacrifice actually looks like in a galaxy far, far away. Our Rogue One (2016) Review could be our boldest Star Wars exploration yet. Listen to find out.On this week's Born to Watch, the team rallies on Yavin 4 to break down the boldest entry in Disney's Star Wars canon. Whitey brings the heat with tales of midnight screenings and family rewatches, calling Rogue One the "Everest" of modern Star Wars. Damo, initially underwhelmed, admits it took a second viewing to appreciate the depth and daring of this standalone story. And Bones? Let's just say he came armed with more trivia than a Death Star databank, from K-2SO's comic origins to what Chirrut Îmwe's staff is really made of.The episode begins with the squad sharing their first impressions, ranging from faulty cinema projectors to kids ditching mid-movie, before diving into the film's iconic trailer. Vader's breath. The Rogue One theme. Mon Mothma's icy resolve. It still rocks. The boys dissect what made the trailer work and laugh at the glaringly absent "I rebel" line that somehow vanished between teaser and final cut.Naturally, the Born to Watch crew doesn't just scratch the surface. They dive deep into what makes Rogue One so special: a fresh cast of characters who aren't chosen ones or lightsaber prodigies, but ordinary rebels making impossible choices. Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) gets major love for her no-frills attitude, while Diego Luna's Cassian Andor earns newfound respect thanks to the phenomenal Andor series, which Whitey all but begs Damo to finally watch. And then there's K-2SO, the sardonic droid voiced by Alan Tudyk (aka "Two Dicks”, don't ask, just listen). Easily one of the funniest characters in the franchise, K-2 delivers punchlines and gut-punches with equal finesse. The same goes for Donnie Yen's Chirrut and Wen Jiang's Baze, a dynamic duo who bring martial arts, mysticism, and machine guns to the battlefield.Ben Mendelsohn's Director Krennic gets the Aussie shoutout treatment, with the team praising his imperial smugness and exquisite cape work. Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera? A source of debate, gasps, and conspiracy theories, is he a Vader prototype? A puffed-up Darth Hipster? Either way, "Bo Gullet" lives rent-free in everyone's head, even if no one quite understands what he's doing there. And then comes the scene. You know the one. The Vader hallway massacre. It's cinematic perfection, a horror movie, action flick, and fan fantasy rolled into one red lightsaber ignition. The team agrees: it might be the greatest single moment in Star Wars history. Period. From there, it's time for Good, Bad, and Ugly, where the sets, the new worlds (Scarif, Jedha), and the grounded stakes all get high praise. The team relishes how Rogue One finally explains the Death Star's ridiculous design flaw, praises its minimal use of nostalgia, and wonders how Jyn Erso climbs that 500-metre tower without even puffing.Legacy-wise, Rogue One is a billion-dollar box office hit that somehow still feels underrated. No Skywalkers. No prophecy. Just a desperate, beautiful mission and a finale that dares to kill every single lead. The episode wraps with laughs, trivia, a tease of a Star Wars Trivial Pursuit rematch, and a reminder that Rogue One is the rare Disney-era film that actually elevates what came before.JOIN THE CONVERSATIONIs Rogue One the best Star Wars movie since the original trilogy?Would you rather pilot an X-Wing or be one with the Force like Chirrut? We learn some very interesting things about wraith physiology this week on Instinct. Also, Beckett is working on a way to turn wraith into full humans. Do the wraith have families? How much fun would Ronon be at a party? Even though it's a bad thing that Ellia does still feed on people, how she goes about doing it is quite smart. There's a new sound effect we need help with: the wraith screech. Is it related to the symbiote screech? Are they the same? Or is it Alan Tudyk?? There is a timeline discrepancy in what's going on with Goran and Zaddik. If Zaddik went missing two years after he found Ellia, what was happening for those two years? The Disney+ "Star Wars" TV series titled "Andor" recently finished its 2nd and final Season to much well deserved critical acclaim. I, the great Luke Ski, a fan of the "Star Wars" franchise since the first movie was released when I was 3 years old, very much enjoyed this series set in the years leading into the events of the film "Rogue One", which itself was set leading into the events of the aforementioned 1977 movie. That said... ...there was something about this show that set it apart from other "Star Wars" movies and shows of the past / since, and something that happened in Season 2 (or more accurately didn't happen) that really underscored that difference. So I decided to write this sketch in which droid K-2SO asks Rebel Captain Cassian Andor an important question that I felt was left unanswered by the series. Editing, Mixing, and Mastering - Imperial Sound Supervisor Chris Mezzolesta Much love and respect to - Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna, Tony Gilroy, and the writers, cast, and crew of "Andor" PS: To Alan and Diego, if you ever wanted to take the script for this sketch (click the 'lyrics' button to find it) so you two could perform a reading of it live at a convention event or something, you have my permission and eager encouragement to do so. I also threw together a quick VIDEO for this sketch, which is here: https://youtu.be/gDgjf3wmnxY

In this episode we talk about what is no doubt the most anticipated movie of 2025, James Gunn's “Superman.” Gunn is more known for his quirky movies with unusual characters engaged in constant frenetic action. This time he takes on the most well-known superhero, the first son of Krypton. No small feat. Can he make everyone with their own idea of who they think Superman should be happy? In this latest Superman movie, Superman (David Corenswet) has been protecting Earth for a few years along with working at the Daily Planet with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan.) In the meantime, his arch nemesis Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) is hatching plans with the government to rationalize taking Superman out. Superman just might need all the help he can get and he might get that from the Justice Gang with Green Lantern, Mr. Terrific and Hawk Girl. Also, we can't forget Superman's furry friend, Krypto. Can Superman survive what Lex and the government got coming for him? Is it worth going to the theater to find out? All will be revealed in this episode of Movies Merica. “Superman” also stars Frank Grillo, Alan Tudyk, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Sara Sampaio, Dinesh Thyagarajan, Wendell Pierce, Michael Ian Black, Beck Bennett, Skyler Gisondo and Mikaela Hoover. Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today's episode was such a blast. I'm talking with none other than the amazing Alan Tudyk! Alan is currently starring as Harry Vanderspeigle in the new season of Resident Alien. He also plays K-2SO in Andor, Hoban ‘Wash' Washburne in Firefly, Wat in A Knight's Tale and so so many iconic voice roles, including Valentino in Wish and the Duke of Weselton in Frozen. We have so much fun in this conversation and I loved learning more about Alan's journey from doing stand-up in a Holiday Inn, to Juilliard dropout, to working with some of the biggest names in Sci-Fi. Plus, we get to bond over our experience in the Star Wars universe and what it's like to be be part of a franchise that fans desperately want to revive (Battlestar for me, Firefly for him). Be sure to stick around after the conversation for the Hindsight, where I get together with my producer Jeph to talk over the episode, talk about upcoming convention appearances and answer fan questions from the Mail Sack! Hayden Christensen on stage during his panel at Comicpalooza 2025 in Houston, TX. Comicpalooza 2025 is officially wrapped up, and it was quite the weekend! In this episode, I share a full recap of my time at Houston's premier pop-culture event, filled with panels, autographs, and plenty of memorable moments. Things kicked off strong on Friday with an excellent panel featuring Hayden Christensen, where fans got a chance to hear directly from the Star Wars star about his experiences. The excitement ramped up even further on Saturday, which turned into a packed day with amazing panels featuring both Adam Savage and Patton Oswalt. Their insights and stories were highlights, making the sessions engaging and entertaining. Adding to Saturday's excitement, I was joined by my kids, Jack and Elizabeth, turning it into a fantastic family outing. Elizabeth had her heart set on getting autographs from two specific celebrities—Cheech Marin and Alan Tudyk. We managed to secure Cheech's autograph without any trouble, but the line for Alan Tudyk was overwhelming, leading us to postpone that task until Sunday. Returning on Sunday, I successfully snagged Alan Tudyk's autograph, fulfilling Elizabeth's wish and rounding out our autograph collection perfectly. The day wrapped up with stellar panels featuring Ming-Na Wen and Temuera Morrison, both of whom delivered engaging discussions and plenty of entertaining anecdotes. Highs and Lows? Later in the episode, Caroline and I dive into a thoughtful conversation about the event's overall celebrity guest lineup. We discuss whether Comicpalooza should expand their roster to better compete with bigger conventions found in nearby cities like Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and New Orleans, which tend to offer more extensive and diverse celebrity slates. We weigh the pros and cons, discussing what makes these events successful and appealing. Despite these discussions about potential improvements, my overall experience at Comicpalooza was genuinely positive. It provided plenty of fun, memorable experiences, and quality time spent with family. Listen to this episode to get all the detailed stories, insights, and our personal takes on the weekend's standout moments! Dates: June 20-22, 2025 Location: George R. The Superhero Show Show #589Revival Series PremiereThe Superhero Show Show: The Revival Series Premiere Brings the Dead Back to LifeThis week on The Superhero Show Show, the hosts dive deep into the eerie, emotional, and grounded Revival Series Premiere—Episode 101, “Don't Tell Dad.” Based on the acclaimed Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, Revival sets its story in a small Wisconsin town where the dead mysteriously return to life. The panel breaks down the show's tone, complex family dynamics, and how this premiere redefines the supernatural mystery genre.Welcome to Wausau: When the Dead Walk (and Talk)From the opening moments, the hosts explain what sets the Revival Series Premiere apart from typical undead narratives. Rather than relying on gore or horror, “Don't Tell Dad” focuses on slow-building tension and personal stakes. The discussion highlights the show's restraint and how Revivers don't return as monsters—they come back nearly unchanged, creating an unsettling emotional ambiguity. They focus on Dana Cypress, the sheriff's deputy, and her younger sister Emme—who has secretly become one of the Revivers. Dana's investigation and discovery of Emme's return unfold with a quiet intensity. The hosts draw comparisons to Twin Peaks and Fargo, applauding the show's ability to blend murder, mystery, and small-town drama.Emotional Stakes and Subtle HorrorThe conversation turns to the episode's character-driven storytelling. One host praises the decision to avoid genre clichés and instead examine themes like grief, faith, and identity. Dana faces the growing pressure of protecting her sister while trying to solve an impossible mystery. Meanwhile, other Revivers begin appearing—and some are far less stable. The title, “Don't Tell Dad,” spurs speculation about hidden family secrets. What are the sisters concealing? Why does their father need to be kept in the dark? These questions elevate the emotional stakes and reinforce how Revival is more about relationships than jump scares. By the episode's end, the hosts agree that the show builds a believable world haunted by the impossible. Also This Week: Resident Alien Returns with “Prisoners”The second segment shifts to Resident Alien Season 4, Episode 1, “Prisoners.” The team is excited for the return of the galaxy's grumpiest doctor—though this time, he's locked up by government agents. Even behind bars, Harry's trademark deadpan humor is intact as he plots his next move. The hosts praise the show's continued balance of slapstick comedy and suspenseful sci-fi. They reflect on how Resident Alien keeps evolving while staying rooted in heartfelt character arcs. Asta's development gets particular attention, especially now that she's confronting major alien secrets alone.Speculation runs wild on what this season might hold. Will Earth finally face a true alien invasion? Can Harry stay hidden? Naturally, there's also a lighthearted debate over Alan Tudyk's comedic genius and whether he'd beat Paul Rudd in a charm contest.Final Thoughts on the Revival Series PremiereIn their wrap-up, the hosts return to Revival to emphasize its strong debut. The Revival Series Premiere successfully avoids horror clichés by anchoring its mystery in layered characters and rich emotional stakes. It promises a series full of tension, dread, and intrigue without sacrificing authenticity.By pairing Revival with the return of Resident Alien, this week's podcast delivers a genre-rich double feature—one steeped
