This time, Martin takes what Eric helped us build on the show and adds to it, deconstructing the philosophies of Grant Morrison further and the writer's take on chaos magick and Hermeticism through writing titles like Batman, Justice League, Doom Patrol, Flex Mentallo, and The Invisibles. Welcoming back the iconic Illustrator of some of my favorite comics which include DOOM PATROL! Which is one of my favorite comic series ever. I read them as a kid, and his run on Flex Mentallo is awesome, and it's one being used currently on the TV SHOW! But Mark McKenna has had an amazing run in comics spanning over 3 decades now. In that time he has worked on Batman, Wolverine, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and more recently on Star Wars, counting close to 600 comics or more by now. Mark's work can be seen in Legendary Picture Books PACIFIC RIM movie prequel as well as Dark Horse Comic's Star Wars-The Old Republic: The Lost Suns. In 2012 his work on the online web comic titled "Star Wars: Blood of the Empire" was collected into an 84 page trade paperback and was the lynchpin for the 2012 released Bio-ware online video game, The Old Republic. DC and Marvel have collected Mark's work in multitudes of titles such as Doom Patrol, Venom, Deadpool Classics and Exiles. Mark has also created, written, inked and published the Sci Fi/Horror COMBAT JACKS comic book mini series. The COMBAT JACKS Collection which collects the 144 page mini series into a hardcover mini series is NOW available.. under Mark's Banana Tale Press imprint. His children's book series Banana Tail and Friends is a labor of love that he created when his daughter was four and had a newborn son. The BOOnana Tail Halloween Special was released for Halloween 2014 and was treated as an "all ages" comic project that continues to grow with children that had the original storybooks read to them as younger children. The other Banana Tail titles include; Banana Tail's Tales and Activities, Banana Tail's Colorful Adventure and the soon-to-be-released Banana Tail and the Checkerboard Jungle. He was so nice to send me his first books of Banana tails years ago, and as an avid collector I can't thank him enough. Awesome stuff for kids, and hope more of his work is in peoples hands as they tuck their little ones to bed at night. Enjoy his links below for more Banana Tail info please visit: www.bananatail.com For more comic-related info, please visit: www.markmckennaart.com or www.combatjacks.com

Cyborg otrzymuje story arc, związany z niecodziennym romansem. Dodatkowo, jeszcze lepiej poznajemy ten przedziwny świat, a Doom Patrol Manor odwiedzają starzy znajomi jak Flex Mentallo czy Willoughby Kipling. Czy 2. sezon serii się nam podobał? Oczywiście. Picking up with a broken Danny, thanks to Dorothy's clumsy or possibly subconsciously purposeful hands, Danny is still not put together. Dorothy sad and Niles not knowing what to do, the crew is stumped on how to fix Danny. Thankfully, the Dannizens including some favorites such as Flex Mentallo and Morally Corrupt, come to the rescue as they show up at the door. The fix, according to Morally Corrupt is to throw a party as Danny is an idea and needs to be shown love to exist and grow. Niles tells Dorothy Danny will be fixed by Bedtime. As it gets closer to bed time and nothing happens Dorothy remembers her favorite Danny song. The father/daughter duo sing a duet and grows into a musical number. Danny opens up the club, but the fix is far from done. We get a flashback of London circa 1978, where Dorothy is being kept in Danny, but not up top with everyone else but below away from everyone. Her father comes to visit but does not stay. We see Dorothy's time in Danny is extremely lonely. When Dorothy is about to wish in a colloquial manner of speaking Niles gets very upset and worried, telling her to never use those words. Back in the present, Dorothy has a moment with Rita as she watches Rita put on make up and asks if she is beautiful. Rita, says of course because everyone is beautiful but sometimes we need enhancement. After asking Dorothy's age, which is 11, she asks how long shes been alive and its 100 and 3 quarters. Rita puts make up on Dorothy. Downstairs, Niles gets mad with the make up. As bedtime approaches and Danny is far from fix, Dorothy wants to stay up but is told to go to bed. In bed, Dorothy says good night to Herschel, her imaginary spider. Candlemaker however has other plans as he instigates Dorothy to stay up because she is a grown up. Dorothy goes back to the party. At the party, Candlemaker convinces Dorothy to possibly destroy Danny as he was her prison. Dorothy asks Danny outright, to which Danny slightly confesses. Dorothy approaches to destroy Danny but does otherwise at the last moment. In the basement, Niles and Cliff run into each other. Cliff is coming off his disappointing trip to see his daughter. As he takes it out on Niles, Niles explains everyone messes up. Cliff decides to join the party and has a good time, doing the robot and dancing with a shadow. Unfortunately the orgasm is so strong it unlocks a sex demon. This brings the Sex Men to the house to save the day. They warn the team if the powerful Sex Demon has a child and the child cries, all the children of the world will perish and the world will forever be stuck in a torrid sex party. Ghosts of sexual acts abound and Rita's room is a portal. The Sex Men, who Niles is familiar with cannot go in effectively. Dorothy, way past her bedtime, ends on the stairs and asks a ultra relaxed Rita if what she meant by saying Dorothy was beautiful was true. Rita tells Dorothy to use her "other" talents. The we get into It Chapter 2 and I really enjoyed it and Luke has some problems with it. Thanks for checking the episode out!!

This is a mismatch of all the different bits we had laying around right now. We start off talking 12 Monkeys and Dark Crystal because I hadn’t seen them and needed to. With the crazy amount of people talking about the Netflix release it was time to check it out and I dove in because Luke isn’t a fan of puppets. From there we spoke about Doom Patrol and Flex Mentallo joining the ranks, worst/best list with House of the Dead and Pulp Fiction. Then we start out with Jessica Jones S3 with the first 5 episodes and end with the first 4 episodes of The Boys on Prime right now which is a lot of fun!

This episode is titled "Penultimate Patrol". I had to look up the meaning of that word. Now that I know the definition, the title is very fitting. Penultimate just means next to last. As this is the next to last episode... I get the joke. Just when we thought we were rid of Cyborg, they bring him back in. Why must DC punish us? We get a little bit of the impetus behind why Eric Morden became Mr. Nobody...unless that is just something he made up to help bait his trap for Doom Patrol. Cyborg re-installs GRID and is able to locate the Beard Hunter using the tracking device Rita planted on him. They find that he is now a resident of Danny the Street. Jane was about to torture some answers out of the Beard Hunter when Danny the Street confessed he knew where Chief was being held. Mr. Nobody had him in the white space on the comic book pages. The place where there is no content. Flex Mentallo is able to open a portal into the white space (after a brief mistake of flexing the wrong muscle and causing a little inadvertent pleasure). Once inside the white space the Doom Patrol confronts Mr. Nobody. They believe they have defeated him only to find out it was part of his plan. Mr. Nobody convinces Chief the only way to escape is to "Let the truth set you free". Chief agonizes over this decision, but ultimately comes clean with the group. The accidents that gave them powers and changed their lives forever.... weren't accidents! The Chief orchestrated each event. Will the group support Chief? Will they leave him with Mr. Nobody? Will they rage and destroy the Chief in front of Mr. Nobody (which is probably what he wants anyway? Let us know in the comments. We have also added a Google Voice number where you can call and leave us your thoughts.  If they are good, we will use them on the show.  The number is (575) 323-1332. Last episode our intrepid heroes busted Cyborg...and Flex Mentallo... out of the Ant Farm. Rita talks Cyborg into re-installing his GRID operating system after the nanites start turning him more into a robot than human. Cyborg decides to stay with his dad in the hospital after nearly beating him to death when Mr Nobody got into his head. Rita stays with Cyborg to help him through this tough time. Meanwhile, back at the mansion... Jane and Robot Man try to get Flex's memory to kick in. They do everything they can think of to trigger his memory. The only thing that works is bringing his wife back to him. Short lived reunion as she has had her body wired so if she comes back in contact with Flex, she dies. We also find out that Larry and the Negative Spirit are in a symbiotic relationship. They need each other to survive. The best part is when Mr Nobody gives his soliloquy at the end. Everything he says proves we have been right all season long. He says the past episodes have all been character driven drivel. He rips Cyborgs face off the Doom Patrol ad. He even promises we will be getting more superheroes doing superhero stuff! Can't wait! Do you agree with us that we have sat through enough backstory and should start seeing the Doom Patrol start doing heroic things to stop Mr Nobody? Let us know in the comments. They begin with Gerard Way and Nick Derington's Doom Patrol, the maiden voyage of the new imprint. There have been three issues released so far, and the guys really like what they've seen. Way definitely takes a cue from Grant Morrison's legendary run on the title, referencing many of Morrison's original additions to the Silver Age series -- most notably Danny the Street and Flex Mentallo -- yet at the same time making Doom Patrol uniquely his own. After that, Andy and Derek discuss the first four issues of Shade the Changing Girl. This is Cecil Castellucci and Marley Zarcone's revamping of the old Steve Ditko creation (and best popularized in the early 1990s by Peter Milligan and Chris Bachelor), Shade the Changing Man. Their emphasis on the lives of young high school women promises to be a curious spin on the property. Next, the guys turn to what Andy calls his favorite of the Young Animal line, Jonathan Rivera, Gerard Way, and Michael Avon Oeming's Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye. As they point out, Cave Carson is a character from the early 1960s appearing in both Brave and the Bold and Showcase, but unlike his contemporary Rip Hunter, he never received a title of his own. Way, Rivera, and Oeming are now giving him that opportunity. The Two Guys conclude their episode with a very different kind of Young Animal title, Jody Houser and Tommy Lee Edwards's Mother Panic. This is the only one of the four series not to be based on Silver Age properties, and it's the only one to be deeply enmeshed into the DC Universe. For that reason, Derek is less enamored with Mother Panic -- at least in terms of the first two issues so far -- feeling that it takes itself too seriously and wonders why this wasn't a regular DC title. Andy has no problem with this Gotham-drenched series.

On this episode Andy and Derek turn their critical sites on the work of Grant Morrison. Joining them in the discussion is Marc Singer, the author of Grant Morrison: Combining the Worlds of Contemporary Comics.  Although much of the talk revolves around Morrison's non-superhero work - e.g., The Invisibles, The Filth, Seaguy, Flex Mentallo, We3, Sebastian O, The Mystery Play, and Happy! - Derek, Andy, and Marc bring into their discussion titles such as Arkham Asylum, Batman Gothic, Final Crisis, JLA, New X-Men, and Morrison's recent run on Action Comics.  So whether you are a diehard superhero fan, or your tastes run more to alternative or non-mainstream comics, you'll definitely find this an episode worth listening to.
