Mary Kate Wiles and friends read the second book in the Anne Shirley series, Anne of Avonlea, by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
The Anne of Avonlea podcast is an absolute gem that brings L.M. Montgomery's beloved characters to life in an extraordinary way. As a fan of the first book, I was eagerly awaiting the release of this second installment and I must say, it did not disappoint. The podcast is a true testament to the power of storytelling and the talented individuals who bring these stories to our ears.
The best aspect of this podcast is undoubtedly the perfectly cast characters and their stellar voice performances. Each character feels authentic and true to their original portrayal in the books. MK's narration, in particular, stands out as delightfully soothing and adds a layer of relaxation to the listening experience. It's extremely rare to come across voice performances that capture the essence of each character so effectively, but this podcast manages to do just that.
Furthermore, the production quality of this podcast is top-notch. The sound design creates a rich auditory experience that fully immerses listeners into the world of Avonlea. From subtle background noises to perfectly timed music cues, every element works together seamlessly to enhance the storytelling. It's clear that a great deal of care and attention has been put into creating an immersive audio experience for fans.
However, like any form of media, there are also some aspects that can be improved upon in this podcast. One possible drawback is that some episodes may feel too short for listeners who crave more content. While each episode provides a satisfying dose of Anne Shirley's adventures, they sometimes leave me wanting more. Additionally, at times it feels like certain secondary characters don't receive as much development or attention as they deserve.
In conclusion, The Anne of Avonlea podcast is an absolute joy for fans of L.M. Montgomery's classic series. The incredible voice performances, soothing narration, and immersive sound design make for a truly captivating listening experience. While there may be areas for improvement in terms of episode length and character development, these minor shortcomings do not overshadow the overall brilliance of this podcast. As a patron, it is truly an honor to support this project and I am thrilled that the rest of the world now has the opportunity to enjoy it as well.

Hello Anne listeners! I'm here to let you know about another literary project I produced that you can watch right now for free: Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story, by Shipwrecked Comedy. It's a modern comedic spin on Washington Irving's classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Don't miss it!
Hello, listeners! I'm just popping in your feeds to let you know about my newest audio project, currently funding on Kickstarter - The Case of the Greater Gatsby. Greater Gatsby will be a brand new comedic audio mystery written by Sean & Sinead Persaud and produced by (and starring) myself, along with Shipwrecked Comedy. In it, detective duo Fig Wineshine and Ford Phillips investigate the murder of author-turned-screenwriter F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1940. Much like our 2016 webseries Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party, The Case of the Greater Gatsby will feature real-life figures from the past in imagined circumstances in a caper that weaves fiction with history. It will feature many voices from my Anne series, such as Sean Persaud, Sinead Persaud, Sarah Grace Hart, Joanna Sotomura, Lauren Lopez, Julia Cho, and more. If you'd like to help us bring this new audio narrative to life, consider supporting us on Kickstarter at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shipwrecked/the-case-of-the-greater-gatsby.
