Io sono MATTEO FLORA e sono:» Professore in Fondamenti di Sicurezza delle AI e delle SuperIntelligenze (ESE)» Professore ac in Corporate Reputation e Crisis Management (Pavia).Sono un Imprenditore Seriale del digitale e ho fondato:» The Fool » https://thefool.it - La società italiana leader di Customer Insight» The Magician » https://themagician.agency - Atelier di Advocacy e Gestione della Crisi» 42 Law Firm » https://42lf.it - Lo Studio Legale per la Trasformazione Digitale » ...e tante altre qui: https://matteoflora.com/#aziendeSono Future Leader (IVLP) del Dipartimento di Stato USA sotto Amministrazione Obama nel programma “Combating Cybercrime (2012)”.Sono Presidente di PermessoNegato, l'associazione italiana che si occupa di Pornografia Non- Consensuale e Revenge Porn.Conduco in TV “Intelligenze Artificiali” su Mediaset/TgCom.

In this vibrant episode of Parsha and Prose, Rabbi Gemara joins me from a ma'amud (bomb shelter) in Israel to explore the twin parshiot of Matot and Masei. Before delving into key themes—oaths, the 2½ tribes settling east of the Jordan, the 42 encampments of the Children of Israel, and the Levites' landless status—we discuss Rabbi Gemara's recent experiences in Israel. With infectious enthusiasm, he shares the dynamic energy he encountered in late-night restaurants and intimate shteibelech (small synagogues). Rabbi Gemara also reflects on the Israeli public's resilience amid the ongoing war in Gaza and tensions with Iran, highlighting their unwavering hope and determination to thrive. This episode captures the enduring strength of the Jewish people and the profound beauty of the Land of Israel.

~~~~~ INGAGGI E SPONSORSHIP ~~~~~ Per contatti commerciali: sales@matteoflora.comPer consulenze legali: info@42LawFirm.it~~~~~ SOSTIENI IL CANALE! Io sono MATTEO FLORA e sono:» Professore in Fondamenti di Sicurezza delle AI e delle SuperIntelligenze (ESE)» Professore ac in Corporate Reputation e Crisis Management (Pavia).Sono un Imprenditore Seriale del digitale e ho fondato:» The Fool » https://thefool.it - La società italiana leader di Customer Insight» The Magician » https://themagician.agency - Atelier di Advocacy e Gestione della Crisi» 42 Law Firm » https://42lf.it - Lo Studio Legale per la Trasformazione Digitale » ...e tante altre qui: https://matteoflora.com/#aziendeSono Future Leader (IVLP) del Dipartimento di Stato USA sotto Amministrazione Obama nel programma “Combating Cybercrime (2012)”.Sono Presidente di PermessoNegato, l'associazione italiana che si occupa di Pornografia Non- Consensuale e Revenge Porn.Conduco in TV “Intelligenze Artificiali” su Mediaset/TgCom.

Commenta come avresti reagito!

In this week's episode, both of our storytellers share tales of well-intentioned choices gone wrong.Part 1: In fourth grade, Ro Moran is thrilled to be trusted with the class pet iguana, Iggy, for the night. But by morning, something is very wrong. Part 2: As an exchange student studying superconducting oxides, Karoline Mueller tries to save money by gold-coating a cheap crucible instead of using a solid gold one. Ro is an award-winning empanada eater with a penchant for storytelling. His credits include Prose of Pie, Tiny Tales, Story Boom, Story Collider En Español, and producing the Westchester-based 'Say Word' show. He is most remembered for his groundbreaking trio with his 14yr and 3 yr old . They've since broken up due to ‘creative differences'. When Ro isn't telling tales, he is a social justice warrior for human rights non profits. Karoline is the youngest of 4 siblings. Growing up in Germany, the family interests included music, art, nature, and building things. From fairly young, there was no question in her mind but she would study music and teach private music lessons. Her plan got smashed in the audition process and she was not accepted into a conservatory program. It took her some time to recover from this huge disappointment. In a relatively random way, she stumbled on the book, Urban Systems in Crisis, by a biochemist and network thinker and was fascinated by this new way of solving problems. She was reminded of fun chemistry demonstrations and enrolled at the Saarland University in Chemistry. Despite low confidence in her English, Karoline pursued a semester abroad and came to the Texas Center for Superconductivity at the University of Houston. Delighted by the amazingly supportive mentorship at the center, she decided to return for her Ph.D. in Chemistry. She has been working there as researcher and student mentor ever since. Karoline's passion for science outreach grew over the years and now she takes great pleasure in organizing presentations and demonstrations of superconductivity.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this episode of Parsha & Prose, Rabbi Shlomo Gemara and I explore the Torah portion of Chukat, focusing on the red heifer, a ch'ok—a divine statute beyond human understanding. We delve into the meaning behind this enigmatic commandment and why God gives us laws that defy comprehension. Additionally, we discuss the emotional weight of losing a sibling, as seen in the passing of Miriam and Aaron, Moses' sister and brother. Could Moses' act of striking the rock—against God's command to speak to it—stem from his overwhelming grief? We invite your questions and reflections on this parsha or any others we explore. Thank you for joining us—we're deeply grateful. Am Yisrael Chai! Proud to be a Jew! ✡️ Why This Matters ✅Spiritual Depth: Uncovering the significance of Torah commandments we may never fully understand. ✅Emotional Truth: Seeing Moses not just as a leader, but as a brother, human, and mourner. ✅Timeless Teachings: Connecting ancient stories of loss and faith to modern experiences of grief and resilience.

Today, most Jewish thinkers have turned away from theology. And if they do, they look into one narrow window into the subject, writing a treatise into topics like the problem of evil or the nature of Jewish chosenness. Not so with today's guest, Michael Marmur. In his newest work, Living The Letters: An Alphabet of Emerging Jewish Thought (Palgrave Macmillan, 2025) Marmur explores dozens of the most pressing theological and philosophical issues in Judaism from the nature of Torah to the place of spirituality today, from the meaning of Jewish peoplehood to the place of Israel. In this work, Michael Marmur employs the structure of the Hebrew alphabet to set out elements of an emerging Jewish theology, presenting a case for the urgent relevance of Jewish life at a time of deepening rupture and accelerating change. He presents core components of a theory and practice of contemporary Judaism. The Hebrew alphabet has long beguiled and preoccupied Biblical authors and liturgical poets, rationalists and mystics, conservatives and radicals. It has served as a locus of theological speculation, an engine of creativity and a recurrent motif throughout the cycle of life, from childhood instruction to graveside recitation. For each letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Marmur proposes a concept, gleaned from theology, philosophy, ritual, politics, community and other fields. Readers are invited to combine and deploy them in imagining a Judaism of tomorrow. As you will hear, Living the Letters is a hard book to pin down. And that's the point. Jewish theology today isn't neat. It's in conversation with 3000 years of Jewish thought, informed by secular scholarship, and demands creativity and expansive thinking. There is no question that readers of Marmur will come away with many important insights but at the same time, they will be full of questions and inspired to probe many of his many subjects more deeply. I hope this episode does the same. This book is open access: https://library.oapen.org/hand... Rabbi Michael Marmur is Associate Professor of Jewish Theology at HUC-JIR/Jerusalem. Until July 2018 he served as the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Provost at HUC-JIR, having previously been Dean of the Jerusalem campus. He is the author of Abraham Joshua Heschel and the Sources of Wonder (University of Toronto Press). Rabbi Marc Katz is the Rabbi at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, NJ. He is author of the books Yochanan's Gamble: Judaism's Pragmatic Approach to Life (JPS) chosen as a finalist for the PROSE award and The Heart of Loneliness: How Jewish Wisdom Can Help You Cope and Find Comfort (Turner Publishing) which was chosen as a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award. What happens when a woman accused of murder—already convicted of killing her children, conspiring to kill her husband's wife, and murdering her former spouse—decides to act as her own attorney in a courtroom? In this gripping investigation, we break down why Lori Vallow Daybell's decision to represent herself in her Arizona trial wasn't just ill-advised—it was a disaster. From her bizarre objections to courtroom outbursts steeped in religious delusion, Lori turned her trial into a sideshow, all while costing Arizona taxpayers upwards of $100,000 in housing alone. But the real price? Delayed justice, retraumatized families, and the erosion of courtroom integrity. Using Abraham Lincoln's timeless quote—“He who represents himself has a fool for a client”—we unpack the sobering realities of pro se defense in serious criminal cases. Why did the court allow it? Should there be limits when the stakes involve life, death, and public safety? Join us as we explore the legal failures, financial burdens, and emotional toll of Lori Daybell's self-representation. We'll also discuss potential reforms to prevent future courtroom catastrophes and preserve justice for victims like JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan, Charles Vallow, and Tammy Daybell. #loridaybell #chaddaybell #jjvallow #tyleeryan #charlesvallow #tammdaybell #brandonboudreaux #alexcox #melanieboudreaux #zulemahpastenes #cultmom #doomsdaycult #doomsdaymom #latterdaysaints #prosecosts #proselaw #prosetrials #selfrepresentation #profilingevil #truecrime #daybelltrial #ldscult #justicematters #courtroomchaos #highprofiletrial #cultpsychology #murdertrial #tragedy #deathpenaltycase #mentalcompetency #familyannihilator=======================================Order Deceived, An Investigative Memoir of the Zion Society Cult. #JoanDidion, #booklunch, #BlueNights, #GregoryDunne, #memoir, #MitchHamptonThe new release of the private writings of Joan Didion, "Notes to John" , inspired me to revisit her "Blue Nights" and do a Book Lunch multi part series. I will explore both the uniqueness of Joan Didion's style of prose when it takes as subject matter the most personal and intimate of life's events - in this case the loss of her daughter and husband as well as reflections upon her own impending mortality. As an added bonus in the series I will also devote some time to her husband Gregory Dunne's 1970s masterpiece Vegas, The series will explore all the many things that can be done in and with prose.#memoir #autobiography #privacy #literature #california #newyorkcity #hollywood #natasharichardson #tonyrichardson #johngregorydunne #dominickdunne #yearoflivingdangersously #therapy #psychology #recovery #suicide #grief #2000s #1990s #1980s #1970s #1960s #saturdadyeveningpost #thewhitealbum #hippie #haightashbury #summeroflove #1969 #losangeles #lilyanolik #charlesmanson #courtneylove #lsd #evebabitz #williambutleryeats #thesecondcoming #slouchingtowardsbethlelhem

“I really loved it,” Francine Prose says of Nixon-era San Francisco in this episode of The World in Time, “but I also knew I wasn't going to live there forever. Everyone I knew was living in these group houses in Berkeley, and then in the city itself, with ten people or fifteen people. I talk about the Reno Hotel, a former nineteenth-century hotel that had been built for boxers, and the city had given it to artists and designers and said, You can live there, don't burn it down. And so they carved out these incredibly beautiful spaces for themselves. But this was before the tech revolution, when the Mission was still kind of wild and free, and it wasn't all the glass cubes and people in tech. It was a great city to live in then. There was a kind of freedom there. Certainly compared to what I'd come from. My good fortune was that I wasn't around a lot of hippies giving acid to two-year-olds. The book takes place during the Vietnam War. We went out and protested McNamara. My husband was the one who scaled the Pentagon, the walls of the Pentagon. We were very idealistic. Maybe unrealistically idealistic, but hey, I'll take it.” This week on the podcast, Donovan Hohn speaks with Francine Prose, author of 1974: A Personal History, about the San Francisco she remembers from her youth, about her relationship with Pentagon Papers whistleblower Tony Russo, about the final defeat of 1960s counterculture, and about the eerie echoes of Prose's favorite movie, Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo.

On Part 2 of this Solstice Radio Special, sixteen Sundial Writers present their thoughts on the space, the time, the emotion "Between Light and Dark".
With The Library at Hellbore's release right around the corner (July 22), I got the chance to sit down and have a conversation with Cassandra Khaw about the upcoming book. This conversation was much more than that, though. It was a conversation with a creator whose work made me fall in love with prose as an adult. Cassandra's style of writing is enthralling to the point of outright consumption (which... is a topic in this episode in a more meaty sense). Our conversation digs into the themes of the title in a non-spoiler fashion. Still, it is an overall conversation about horror and the horrors of the world in a wonderfully eye-opening way. If you could see how often my eyes widened as I listened to Cassandra Khaw speak, you would laugh as you listened along but there is so many things they say that made the gears move in my brains. It's one of those interviews where I will always be thankful I got to talk with someone who inspires me. I hope you take something away from this conversation as well. The Library at Hellbore will be in bookstores on July 22nd, but pre-order wherever you get your books now, so you can let them know you want it. In our interview, Cassandra Khaw mentions that there is a perfumist who makes scents based on their works. Here is a link to their site with a TON of really niche scents, lotions, and candles based on all sorts of things that I personally love. I couldn't help myself and got the Deckard, the Clown, and of course, my favorite Khaw book's perfume, Nothing But Blackened Teeth. There is something so cool to me about engaging other senses with things like prose because it only draws you further into the world you're reading about. Follow Cassandra Khaw on Instagram to keep up with everything they've got going on! The Hellebore Technical Institute for the Gifted is the premier academy for the dangerously powerful: the Anti-Christs and Ragnaroks, the world-eaters and apocalypse-makers. Hellebore promises redemption, acceptance, and a normal life after graduation. At least, that's what Alessa Li is told when she's kidnapped and forcibly enrolled. But there's more to Hellebore than meets the eye. On graduation day, the faculty go on a ravenous rampage, feasting on Alessa's class. Only Alessa and a group of her classmates escape the carnage. Trapped in the school's library, they must offer a human sacrifice every night, or else the faculty will break down the door and kill everyone. Can they band together and survive, or will the faculty eat its fill?
