That's right - our old friends Eiffel and Hilbert are back with important news! There's a new audio fiction series called Hit Singles, created by Wolf 359 creator Gabriel Urbina and produced by Urbina, Sarah Shachat, and Zach Valenti! It's a romantic comedy all about friendship, love, the struggles of trying to make it in a big city, and loving music way too much. You can listen to the show over on Audible. If you have an Audible Plus membership, you can listen to it at no additional cost. (And if you still have a free trial, you can listen to it for free for 30 days.) Besides the show's three producers, you'll also hear Wolf 359 alumni Noah Masur, Zach Libresco, Michelle Agresti, and Mary Kate Wiles in the series. (As well as veterans from many of our sibling series, such as The Bright Sessions, Life With Leo(h), and 36 Questions!) It was a real labor of love, and we'd love to help it find as wide an audience as it can. So please check it out, and, if you love it as much as we think you will, please leave a rating and a review. Here is the official description for Hit Singles: From the creators of the hit audio drama Wolf 359 and with original music by Jeremy Warmsley comes a modern story about friendship, love, and chosen family starring Evangeline Young (Emergence), Nicholas Podany (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Simone Policano (Blue Bloods), Julia Rehwald (Fear Street), Briggon Snow (Masters of Sex) and a full cast. A captivating listen perfect for fans of New Girl and High Fidelity. When struggling DJ Faith Adler comes to couch surf with her best friend Tori in NYC, she finds herself drawn into the world of Tori's eclectic friend group. Right from her chaotic first night, Faith's new friends take her under their wing and help her navigate the ups and downs of trying to make it as an artist in the big city. There's Tori, the bubbly one; Ginah, the high-strung but loyal one; Matt, the flirtatious one; and David, the cynical one. Tori and Ginah's apartment becomes a sanctuary where lasting bonds are forged over late nights, drink-filled conversations, impromptu dance parties, and the occasional Sense and Sensibility marathon. Falling in love definitely isn't part of Faith's plan, but that all changes when she meets David, a former law student (and current bartender) who has recently come to the conclusion that romance is for suckers and sworn it off altogether. From the moment they meet at a New Year's in the Summer party, their will-they-or-won't-they chemistry is electric. As Faith and David grow closer over whiskey-soaked nights and heart-to-heart talks on the fire escape, their flirtation deepens into something more meaningful. Are they friends? Lovers? Romantic partners? Casual sex acquaintances? The answer is, simultaneously, all and none of the above. Let the overthinking commence! With rich character development and an ensemble cast that feels like friends you've known forever, Hit Singles deftly balances comedy, romance, and poignant drama. It's a beautifully rendered celebration of the family we choose, the cities that choose us back, and the life-altering power of human connection. * * * Today's message features the sound effect UI Seatbelt Signal by newlocknew. Role Calling's three-part Lord of the Rings holiday special comes to a conclusion, but not before a rousing climax and several emotional endings. This week, actor/producer Mary Kate Wiles joins Ned and Caroline for a conversation all about Peter Jackson's third and final LOTR installment, The Return of the King. And boy is there a lot to discuss! From the Battle of the Pelennor Fields to the showdown on Mount Doom, the trio go deep on what makes Tolkien's world so special, which performers shine brightest in ROTK, and which scenes they can't stop thinking about. You can follow Mary Kate on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Patreon (@mkwiles on most social media platforms). And be sure to check out Shipwrecked Comedy's delightful new series "Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story," which is streaming for free on YouTube as both a 10-part series and a single-cut version. Whether you're a Bing man or a Google gal, you need to type 'Shipwrecked' into your search engine of choice and take in some of the best web-based comedy you're going to find out there. We were lucky enough to be joined by Sean a while back to talk about Mank and some Shipwrecked stuff but we're triply fortunate to be joined this time by Sean, his sister and screenwriting partner, Sinead, and producer Mary Kate Wiles (they're all insanely talented comedic actors to boot). Check out 'Headless' and then check out our interview so you're not absent from their glory. Greta Gerwig's solo directorial debut tells the story of Lady Bird (nee Christine) in her final year of high school – dabbling with not just a new name, but also new boys, new hobbies, pushing the boundaries of her old relationships, and somehow disappointing her mother just by being herself (and applying to out-of-state colleges). Relatable much? Mary Kate Wiles (Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder) definitely thought so.Then, Jordan has one quick thing about her recent SDCC Panel (on Bold New Voices in Horror).***With Jordan Crucchiola and Mary Kate Wiles

Sarah's out today, so we're especially delighted to be joined by the incredible Mary Kate Wiles, of Lizzie Bennett Diaries, Shipwrecked Comedy, and web video fame! Mary Kate's first go in the NBI hot seat begins with the story of a bad liar from Alabama, which the gang turns into a heist with high rewards, deeply annoying stakes, and incredibly slow moving escapes. Then they meet the soon-to-be mother-in-law from hell and turn it into a family drama that is a trick, potentially a trap, and features the worst piggy bank of all time. Then the guys talk to Mary Kate about, among other things, the origin of Shipwrecked, the legacy of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, wearing many hats at all times, and why every actor should produce something. Plus: a new sub-genre of heists, Eugene O'Neill plays come to life, decoy invites, Timothée's Logan Lucky moment, and the Rachel Getting Married of it all. Today's Bad Ideas™: Idea #1 Idea #2 If you'd like to check out more of Mary Kate's work, follow her on Twitter and Instagram, check out The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder, and go explore the fine literary comedy of Shipwrecked! I talked to Mary Kate Wiles who plays Vicky on Fairly Odd Parent's new show on Paramount Plus. We talk comedy, acting, and even baseball. You can follow Mary Kate Wiles On Social Media Instagram.com/MKWiles About Mary Kate Wiles A native of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mary Kate Wiles has been making a name for herself in several high-profile digital projects since stepping onto the scene as Lizzie's outlandish and ultimately tragic younger sister, Lydia Bennet, in 2012's Emmy-award winning The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Since then, Mary Kate has starred in various acclaimed projects such as I Ship It (featured at Sundance 2015), Squaresville, Spies Are Forever, and appeared alongside Sean Astin and Darren Criss in last year's Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye. Her various digital projects boast over 125 million views and have raised over a million dollars in successful Kickstarters. Since 2016, Wiles has been a member of Shipwrecked Comedy as both actor and producer. She has led the group through three successful crowdfunding efforts - raising over $300K combined - and to festivals in Toronto, Germany, and around the United States. Wiles runs Shipwrecked with her romantic partner of many years, Sean Persaud, and his sister Sinéad Persaud. Together, they have created series such as Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party, the recently wrapped Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story featuring Matt Mercer (Critical Role) and John Rubinstein, and many other shorts sketches for a dedicated and loyal fanbase. Independently, Mary Kate Wiles has produced a well-received audio play podcast centering on Anne of Green Gables. She and other actors gather to read through Lucy Maud Montgomery's beloved novel. In combination with its sequel, Anne of Avonlea, they have garnered well over 300K streams. Wiles has made appearances on numerous shows in traditional media, including Young Sheldon, Code Black, and The Middle. She has also lent her voice to the female Mysterio in Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man. Join us in Episode #13 of Potterwatch where we meet Harry Potter fan Chandler Robertson. Chandler has been a lifelong fan and gives us her perspective from both her childhood and adult perspectives. We explore the topic of leadership on this Valentines Day episode and take a close look at the major and minor female characters in the series. During Voldemort's corner Tony reviews "Confessions of a Sociopath" by M.E. Thomas. A first person perspective on a psychiatric condition that is often misunderstood and as a result leave those who are labeled as such "in the closet" without help. The book makes us think twice about the origins of immoral leadership, the role between mental illness and choice, and the concept of normality. Then we take a break from the Dark Lord and tune into the less developed character of Dolores Umbridge. We wrap things up with the Kristin Hippie tune "Honeydukes" performed by Mary Kate Wiles and Joey Richter.
