How do we go from being announced free to be actually free? By the Holy Spirit. How does the Spirit of God lead the family of God to the goal of God? By putting to death the deeds of the body. Part 8... how do we do that?
Romans 8:12-17 teach how God intends to move us from being announced free to being totally free.
In Romans 8 Paul teaches that since the law is not the Savior, but is the agent that God has used to reveal that everyone's heart is sick and in need of a transplant. The first section of Romans 8 deals with the question, "What is God's plan for rescuing the heart from the slavery of sin and producing life and holiness instead?"
