The third Saturday in May means …it is time to Preak out…it is Preakness weekend!!! We head to Laurel Park in Maryland where there are 9 Stakes races on a 14 race card. We get things going with a couple of sprint Stakes races and then culminate with the grade 1 $2 million Preakness. Back a horse and get paid!!!

It is one week after the Kentucky Derby and the Thoroughbred action is off and running. Our first stop is New York for three Stakes races at Aqueduct including the Peter Pan, a local prep for the Belmont Stakes. We head to Churchill Downs for a turf sprint next. We finish our journey at Santa Anita for a run down the hill in a turf sprint. Back a horse and get paid!!!

Wow, the weekend we have been waiting for, it's Kentucky Oaks/Derby weekend. Let's get out of the gate first with the 152nd running of the Kentucky Oaks on Friday. Three-year-old fillies will be going a mile and an eighth with eyes one that blanket of Lillies. On Saturday, May 2, it is Kentucky Derby 152 as the three-year-old boys run for their share of $5 million. Back a horse and get paid!!!

Wow, it is only one week until the Kentucky Derby! Let's take a ride around the country and enjoy Stakes action from coast to coast. We begin in New York, then head to South Florida. It is opening day at Churchill Downs so naturally we stop there before heading to Oaklawn Park in Arkansas. Our day finishes with graded Stakes action on the turf at Santa Anita. Let's jump out the gates and get rolling on Saturday April 18. Laurel Park is our first stop as we examine the Federico Tesio Stakes, which offers a birth in the Preakness Stakes. We head to Keeneland next for a pair of graded stakes for older male horses. Oaklawn Park hosts the $1.25 million Oaklawn Handicap which matches the top two finishers in the 2025 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. We finish at Santa Anita Park with a graded Stakes race on turf. Back a horse and get paid!!!

We are enjoying Stakes action at three different tracks this week. Saturday April 11 has us first headed to Aqueduct for the Mind Your Biscuit Stakes. Next we travel to Keeneland Race Course for the grade 1 Jenny Wiley on turf and the grade 3 Lexington Stakes for three year old colts. We finish at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas with the $1.25 million Apple Blossom Stakes for older fillies and mares. Back a horse and get paid!!!

Join us on Saturday, April 4 as we explore three of the final major Kentucky Derby prep races. We begin our journey in New York for the historic Wood Memorial. The heart of Horse country and Keeneland is next for the Bluegrass stakes. We finish our journey on the West Coast with the Santa Anita Derby. Back a horse and get paid.

It is another huge day in Thoroughbred racing on March 28. Let's head to South Florida first and examine the Gulfstream Park Oaks and the $1 million Florida Derby. Next we journey to Arkansas for the $500,000 Oaklawn Mile for older horses. We finish with the grade 1 Arkansas Derby worth a whopping $1.5 million. Back a horse and get paid!!!

Join us on an exciting run on March 21. We begin our journey at historic Fair Grounds in New Orleans for the biggest day on their racing calendar. The Davona Dale offers Kentucky Oaks qualifying points for the girls and the Fountain of Youth Kentucky Derby points for the boys. Sandwiched in between will be the Honey Fox on turf for older fillies and mares. On Sunday, March 1, we head to Oaklawn Park for more Oaks and Derby points races. We are headed to South Florida for dirt sprint action at Gulfstream Park to get things rolling on February 21. Then it is off to the West coast for some turf sprint action at Santa Anita Park. It's Valentine's Day and we wanna make some sweetheart selections . we begin with the $20 million Saudi cup in the Middle East then we head to New Orleans and Fair Grounds for a couple of big three-year old races. we finish the day at Turfway Park in northern Kentucky with another stakes race. We begin on the East coast with a pair of turf sprint races, one at Aqueduct in New York and the other at Laurel Park in Maryland. Welcome to the final edition of Friday Pony Picks for 2023! Saturday, November 4th is all about the Breeder's Cup at Santa Anita. Danny gives his picks for the 1-million dollar Filly and Mare Sprint, the Breeder's Cup Mile, Breeder's Cup Classic, the Turf Sprint, and the Breeder's Cup Sprint.

Let's hop into some stakes action on Saturday, October 28th! First, we're heading to Belmont at the Big A Meet for the Grade II Forty Niner Stakes. Then, over to the heart of horse country for Keeneland's closing weekend—Danny gives his picks for the Bowman Mill Stakes, the Bryan Station Stakes, and the Hagyard Fayette Stakes.

This Saturday, October 21st, we start off at Keeneland, and Danny gives his picks for Race 6, the Perryville Stakes, and Race 9, the Grade II Lexus Raven Run. We finish the day at Woodbine with Race 9, the Grade III Ontario Derby.

This week, Danny talks his picks for races on Saturday, October 14th, and Sunday, October 15th. First up, we're going to Belmont at the Big A for the Sands Point Stakes, then over to Keeneland for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, and finally to the west coast to Santa Anita Park for the California Distaff Handicap. We end the weekend of racing on Sunday at Keeneland with the Franklin Stakes.

In this week's edition of Friday Pony Picks, Danny takes us to Keeneland Racecourse for the Woodford Stakes, the First Lady Stakes, and the Coolmore Turf Mile. We end the day at Santa Anita Park with the Rodeo Drive Stakes.

In this episode, Danny talks stakes races for Saturday, September 30th. First, we head to Belmont Park for the Big A Meet and the Grade II Vosburgh, and then we stop at Churchill Downs for the Grade III Ack Ack. In this episode, Danny talks about contenders for a day of racing on Saturday, September 16th. This weekend, the historic Churchill Downs will host the Grade III Pocahontas, the Iroquois Stakes, and the Locust Grove Stakes.

Saturday, September 9th, is a gargantuan day on the grass with six stakes races at Kentucky Downs. Danny gives his insight on the two Breeder's Cup “win-and-you're-in” races: Race 10, the Ainsworth Turf Sprint, and Race 12 FanDuel Turf Cup.

Some great races are going on this Labor Day weekend! We start at Kentucky Downs and discuss Race 8 the Gun Runner Stakes, Race 9 the Music City Stakes, and Race 10 the Mint Million. Finally, Danny talks contenders for the Pacific Classic at Del Mar.

Danny talks contenders for races this Saturday August 26th. First up is Saratoga's Allen Jerkens Memorial, the Grade I Ballerina and finally the Travers Stakes. Then, we head over to the west coast for the Grade II Pat O'Brien at Del Mar.
