It has been a minute! The Board Members catch up on recent Conventions, fantastic new game finds, and Drew's descent into CCG madness.

The Board Members discuss BGG Con, Pax Unplugged and the excellent experiences they had there. They discuss several designers and publishers who shone brightly as great human beings. Drew discusses how he accidentally started a doomsday flannel cult.

The Board Members discuss Gen Con as an experience and several games they got to check out. Drew admits to passing on free Lorcana cards. Games discussed include Junk Drawer, Fromage, Sushi Boat, Paleovet, and Panic in Gotham City.

The Board Members discuss what they have been playing lately and roundtable the subject of game protection solutions, sleeving, and the various outlooks that exist out there amongst gamers looking to protect their beloved cardboard collection.

The Board Members discuss 2023 Origins Game Fair, deluxification in games, and what they are looking forward to playing over the July 4th holiday.  Andrew discusses his cheapness, Josh admits to his Acquisition Disorder, Heather confesses to being Boardgame Famous, and Drew laments the cross one must bear reviewing free games that people keep sending him.

The new Board Members are welcomed to the Table in this, our first episode. Josh, Andrew, Heather and Drew talk about what drew them into board gaming and games we have enjoyed in the past.

Big things are brewing on the winds over at DiceDads!  Join Josh as he lays down what has been happening and where things are going.

The Dads discuss several games they have gotten to the table recently, including Marvel Dice Throne, Return to Dark Tower, Battleship Classic, and others.  

The Dads have returned from their long dormancy (thanks Pandemic) and have managed to get their act together enough to actually see the light and start playing games enough to have something to talk about.   We have come back from our time away with lots of new ideas for show content and are excited to revamp things and send it all your way!

The Dads discuss what has gotten to their table lately and then discuss the benefits that tabletop gaming experience can add to a young person's formative years. The discussion is rounded out with a look at the Convention schedule for the rest of the year and a short look back at highlights of past Con excursions.

Josh reviews the difference between Euro and AmeriTrash games, talks about game categorization by player count, appropriate age, and play time, and looks at how game length and player count help you understand the kind of game experience you are likely to get.

The Dads talk about their holiday exploits, gaming with family around the holidays, and cooperative vs competitive games.  Their friend and fellow gamer Shane joins the show and they discuss games like Imhotep, Deal or Duel, Keyforge, Azul 2 and take a look at Life with one of the kids.

The Dads rehash their recent experience at TokenCon 2018 in OKC and talk about what they thought was great about this brand new game con.  They also discuss their recent Halloween Super-Spooky Game Day and several games appropriate for the season, including Betrayal at House on the Hill, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, and City of Horror.  Finally, they discuss the topic of the use of fear and horror in tabletop games and how that can be done well.
