When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, it was just the beginning of His earthly mission. He came in humility, but He will return in majesty.

The Devoted Church | Week 2 The devoted church is all in! This means they are dedicated spending time in the Scriptures as well as spending time in fellowship with other believers.

The Devoted Church | Week 1 The ordinance of Baptism was modeled by Jesus and we are commanded to continue following His example. Baptism is a beautiful picture of the Gospel that we have the privilege of practicing.

Your pastor typically plays an important role in your life, and he has many responsibilities. However, it is your duty to reach the people that God has placed in your life.

Across the state, countless churches are filled with complacent believers who neglect the deeper call to true discipleship. Our guest speaker this morning challenged us to sacrifice whatever may be holding us back from wholeheartedly following the way of Jesus.

You cannot overcome spiritual temptation with carnal means.

Often God's will is not revealed in a moment—it is discovered through a relationship. It is not about finding a map, but about walking with the guide.

The opposite of worry is peace. Each day, you have the option to live in worry, but by doing so, you'll tear yourself apart. Choose instead to live in God's peace.

The world claims that to be great, you must prioritize yourself. But in the kingdom of God, we are made great by our Father when we humble ourselves.

Psalm 23 points us to the only Shepherd Who will never fail us.

"If the enemy cannot destroy you, he will discourage you." God brought the prophet Elijah through a particularly discouraging time, and He can do the same for you.

Change is inevitable. Often times, change also is difficult or even painful. We can learn how to handle change well by following good examples in Scripture such as Joshua.

Obeying God is our choice, but we must remember that whichever path we take will affect far more people than we realize.

Sometimes we fail to believe what God believe's about us: that we are fully capable of accomplishing His plans for us.

No one is immune to experiencing pain in this life. However, the story of Joseph reminds us that even in unfair and difficult situations, God's plan is always at work.

A faithful follower of Jesus is well accustomed to waiting. God's timeline rarely seems to match ours. But it's important to know that delays are not always denials.

We often have many wrong ideas of what it takes to be successful. The truth is, success is found in submitting to God's way, giving of ourselves, and building authentic relationships.

Following the example of Christ, we must respond to his invitation. Truly, the harvest is plenteous. The laborers, however, are few.

Through Christ you can be obedient, content, strong, generous, and assured.

Anxiety will rob you of your joy. It will cause you to live in a state of unknowns and worry. Instead, Scripture invites us to cast our care on our Heavenly Father, Who cares for us.

1. Think seriously about the legacy you want to leave. 2. Focus on the things that are most important. 3. Start now.

Life is often compared to a race, but it's important to remember that this race is not a sprint, but a marathon.

Joy is worth protecting. So expect that it will be challenged, learn to identify true joy, and continually celebrate what Jesus has done.

Being a light in a dark world requires us to "work out our salvation" as the Bible teaches.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

The most joyful people in the world are unselfish people.

Maintaining an eternal perspective on life will make a dramatic difference in your pursuit of joy.

The cross defines the mission of the church. The cross determines the message of the church. The cross drives the ministry of the church.

Effective churches are praying churches.

The most treasured gifts from God are often imparted entirely in secret.

1. Believe what God said. 2. Understand the privilege and the power of prayer. 3. Don't be surprised at what God accomplishes when we pray.

Obedience to God's commandment to love is unnatural. Better yet, it is supernatural when we love our neighbor and even our enemy as Christ did.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and when you see Him move, follow.

"Ichabod" - The glory of the Lord has departed from this place "Ebenezer" - Hitherto hath the Lord helped us. What will be your legacy?

Your journey of faith begins when you place your faith IN Christ. It then grows when you learn to have the faith OF Christ.

In seasons of waiting, there is still much we can do to strengthen our confidence in God and His ultimate plan.

The Spirit leads us in the way God desires, warns us when we're not going in the right direction, and leads us toward a more Godly life that will exhibit good fruit.
